Chapter Two ~Touché~

It was only a thought, a thought that would eventually leave the blonde's mind. The thought of the brunette he met a few hours ago, he assumed he was just nervous of how Laurance would affect his reputation. Not that it mattered if he was popular, or more popular, Garroth had a weird feeling about the newbie. Of course not a bad one, if it was he wouldn't of been himself around the other male even if being cranky was only part of his personality. Garroth's thoughts went back to his brothers once again, being over protective was exhausting even for him and that was saying something. His worrying worsen at the fact his friends were coming over and that meant keeping an eye on Dante and Vylad. Garroth was thankful that Zane, his other brother, was indeed an introvert and locked himself in his almost personal free Hot Topic room. He didn't have to worry for his friends quietly judging and laughing at his one-eyed brother, not specifically because he'd be embarrassed but more like he'll never forgive his best friends for being jerks.

A loud bell rang, startling a few students excluding Garroth. He made his way to the cafeteria and smiled as he met the eyes of his two friends that returned the gesture. Ignoring the eye-raping girls, he sat next to Travis who seemed to interested in his book to notice the blonde sitting besides him.

"What? No lecture?" Dante took a sip of his orange juice.

Garroth raised an eyebrow, "I'm not tutoring you and have it turn out into one of those cliche romance novels you read, Dante."

"Really? Stop teasing me, it's been about a month ever since I told you that I'm...you know." The brunette crossed his arms as Garroth just smirked in amusement. "Wait a sec...did you just admit you'd fall for me like in one of those cliche novels which, by the way, I don't read."

"I didn't admit anything. Knowing you, I would be forced to fall for you but if I'm honest, I don't think of you that way."

Dante scowled, "Are you saying that you'd like any other dick and I'm simply not good enough?"

Garroth sensed how offended his friend was and only rolled his eyes, "Possibly, maybe, I don't give two shits right now. You sure you don't want my di-"

"Can we stop talking about our genitals. Dante, you sound like you're secretly in love with blonde over here. Blonde, you sound like you're horny as poop and are suggesting you guys take this conversation into the bathroom. Geez, some influences you guys are." Travis cut in, a small smile plastered on his lips before returning his gaze to his book.

Garroth laughed slightly and ruffled Travis's hair. He knew very well that his conversations with Dante didn't sound at all like an argument, they both didn't think anything of it because Dante was interested in someone else. Garroth didn't have his eyes on someone in particular, maybe Aphmau, a girl he met one year ago but that was just an option he had in mind. After finding out she was in love with Aaron he didn't really try anymore. Saying he was heartbroken would be a lie, he realized he'd only like to flirt with her, lead her on even if he was aware how much that made him sound like a jerk and player. To him, love didn't exist at least not in his life. Garroth didn't want to sound like one of those people who suggested they didn't believe in love and are such a downer, he just didn't like the idea of it.

Travis handed Garroth his apple juice, knowing the blonde would eventually steal it from his tray. Garroth shut his eyes and downed the juice in one gulp, acknowledging the presence that shifted next to him.

"Invitations weren't sent out." Garroth said, cockily smirking at the newbie and watched him from the corner of his cyan eyes.

"Noted." Laurance smirked back, "But you're the nice guy right? That might change if you kick me out."

Garroth turned his head slightly to get a better look at the other male. "Threats don't get you anywhere."

"Being cocky doesn't either."

"Noted." The blonde mocked as he watched his friend, Dante, roll his eyes and smile slightly.

"How do you make friends easily. I can't even get you to talk about yourself." Dante argued and pushed his tray aside, catching Travis's attention. "Probably because you don't have to, he's so full of himself."

The blonde scoffed and acted offended, placing a hand over his heart dramatically, "I'm hurt, Travis. Hurt."

A shiver went up Garroth's back, one that made butterflies swarm his stomach. He felt Laurance's gaze on him, watching his every move which made him feel self conscious. Was I being judged? Did I seem to cocky and full of myself? Did I look ugly? Did Laurance think I was unattractive? Stupid? Mean?

"Woah, that's rare. Are you okay?" Travis's voice made its way to Garroth's ears.

He took a second to process what happened. Really? Unattractive? Why did I even care if he thought I was pretty. Mentally rolling his eyes and cursing, he grinned, "Sorry, just worried about my brothers."

"Oh yeah, that's what I meant by the way. A lecture about your brothers, you know, boundaries and stuff." Dante suggested, his amused expression changed to a bored one.

"Oh right. Rule number one don't get to close, stay far apart. Dante, I hope you follow it this time. Rule number two, If I leave the room, we all leave the room. My brother isn't allowed with people by himself, not without Zane or me." Garroth took a pause and glared at Dante which caused him to shift uncomfortably. "Rule number three, don't make him feel uncomfortable."

"Who is 'him' exactly?" Laurance had a puzzled expression, it was almost adorable to Garroth.

Dante cut in, "Vylad. He has two brothers, the other is Zane but we've never seen him. We would get a glimpse of him when he comes out of his room to ask Garroth something or get food."

"There's only rules for Vylad then?"

Travis snickered and nudged the blonde to continue. "Actually, both of them. You see, newbie, Number one is to never try talking to him, Two is never knock on his door or get close to it, Three don't try socializing, and four, what ever you do..." Laurance eyes widen at the change of air and the way Garroth's voice got deeper. "Don't lay a finger on me or Vylad in front of him. Out of the three of us, he's the most tempered over protective brother."

"You're telling me like if you're inviting me over." Laurance smirk, his brown hair falling into his pale eyes.

Garroth rolled his eyes and nodded, "Its not like I needed to, right? Invitations weren't sent out but yet, here you are."

"Touché, Mr. Ro'meave."

"Touché to you, Zvhal."
