SARAI'S POV:

I hate being like this. Since I'm blind, I can't see what's the time myself. I'm so much dependent on everyone for every little thing that it makes me hate myself more every day.

"It is your bedtime, Sarai. You haven't slept too well today.", I flinched as Caroline spoke suddenly. I controlled my breathing somehow and got up from the chair. I could feel her coming to help me but I shook my head stopping her midway.

I bumped into the corner of the bed and heard her taking a sharp intake of breath. It did hurt badly but I didn't react. This pain was far less than the pain in my heart.

I closed my eyes and the monsters in my head laughed, asking me why do I need to close my eyes when all I see is darkness. I could feel the burning of my eyes and soon the pillow beneath my head was soaking wet from them.

I counted in my head as time passed. My bedtime when I was a child was 9 p.m. and when I grew up it must have become 10 p.m.?

I could hear every single 'tick' sound of the clock as the place became eerie quiet. Caroline's breathing soon became lighter which meant that she had finally gone to sleep. I waited and waited as more time passed. Every minute felt like an hour and my stomach twisted weirdly.

One part of my head kept telling me that this place was safe and no one was going to hurt me while the other part warned me repeatedly that my past was going to repeat itself if I stayed here any longer.

My body almost convulsed and my eyes flew open as my own shouts filled my ears. They didn't care about my begging, my pain-filled shouts.

I pulled the blanket over my face and buried my face in my hands. You're okay. You're okay. I repeated to myself but my mind didn't stop playing its dirty game and soon I was screaming louder and louder.

"Stop...stop.. don't..", I repeated the words as dirty hands traced every part of my body.

"You will love it.", One has murmured in my ears and then he push--

"Wake up Sarai..Shhh...easy there ....breathe..come on little one, you're doing so good...take a deep breath for me.", A heavy voice broke me out of the nightmare, a nightmare which I have lived through.

"You're safe.. no one is going to hurt you ever again.", The man repeated in his soft yet soothing voice and finally I caught the person behind it. Blaze.

                 BLAZE'S POV:

I whistled lightly, finally in a happy mood after winning a boxing fight. My knuckles were busted and my face had a punch mark but I still looked better than my competitor.

Was he even alive? I don't think so.

Just before I was getting ready to go to my room, I decided to take a look at the little girl staying in our house. I took quick lengthy strides, eager to have a look at her heavenly face.

As soon as I pushed the door, a terror-filled scream resonated inside the room. I rushed inside and found Caroline already running towards the bed where Sarai's body was convulsing in fear.

Caroline and I held her down as her sharp nails cut open her skin of her face and arms.

"Wake up Sarai!" Caroline begged but it fell on deaf ears.

My eyes widened as a white foam started leaving her mouth while her body shook with her screams.

"Go, call a doctor right now!", I said to Caroline and she nodded hurriedly leaving the room.

"You're safe...shh..open your eyes Sarai!", I whispered picking her up in my arms. But she was in no state to understand anything.

"What happened?", Nikolai barged inside the room as sweat trickled down his forehead. He was followed by all others and their questioning eyes met mine.

"I'll explain later.. fucking get a doctor!", I almost shouted in anger.

"She will be here in a minute.", Victor replied just as worried.
My attention again went back to the girl sobbing inconsolably in my arms, begging me to let her go.

"Wake up Sarai..Shhh...easy there ....breathe..come on little one, you're doing so good...take a deep breath for me.", I gently cooed holding her face.

"You're safe.. no one is going to hurt you ever again.", I promised and fucking prayed to God to just wake her up.

Her lips were parted as she gasped for every breath and finally her body stopped fighting. Her eyes opened just a little and we all let out the breaths we were holding.

"The doctor is here.", Caroline also had a streak of tears as she came inside the room almost dragging the lady doctor with her. I nodded at Victor for calling a female and not a male, considering Sarai's fears.

"You all need to get back sirs.", The doctor said and they all took a few steps back from the bed. I didn't move an inch as Sarai kept holding my hand. I took my handkerchief to gently clean her face as she laid still in my arms. She must have drained herself completely.

The doctor asked a few questions to which she got no replies. She took her vitals and Sarai simply lay with her eyes shut tightly.

"I'll give her a shot and please try to keep her happy and stress-free.", The doctor said making us all nod. But the next second, Sarai started moving shaking her head in 'No'.

"Sarai, breathe. You're fine..shh..it's okay... it's just to help you relax sweetheart. You need rest.", I gently massaged her scalp as she cried holding my shirt. Her face was now hidden in my chest and my heart broke more seeing those tears.

"I'm sorry..shh..", I almost begged as she continued to struggle and wail loudly.

"No injections for her. She's too shaken up.", Hayden growled as he took a few steps towards the bed. Sarai was still completely shaken from all the events and she finally relaxed, breathing softly making her every breath strike my chest.

"Yes sir.", The doctor replied writing down some medicines and handing them to Hayden.

He followed her out of the room and Satan decided to be there too. My hands moved on their own accord and rubbed Sarai's back but soon as a button has gone off, she jumped away from me with her eyes wide open.

Before I could comprehend anything, she fell down from the bed and her head banged loudly against the floor.

"SHIT!"
"FU--SHIT"
"SARAI!"
"FUCK!", So many curses and worried words filled the room as her eyes rolled back and she got unconscious.

Nikolai happened to be the nearest from that side and he picked her up quickly. He put her on the bed and moved her hair away from her scalp. The doctor was back in the room and Hayden and Satan glared daggers at me. I didn't even do anything but I was too worried to think about them right now.

"Shit... she's bleeding.", Nikolai hissed and Victor pushed him aside to have a look himself.

"Fucking get aside all of you. Let the doctor check her. Caroline, sit down. You're about to pass out.", I almost shouted. These fuckers can't do a single thing right. I had told them to get the floor of this room covered with carpets but they didn't. Idiots. Motherfuckers.

The doctor started looking at her injury while I pushed all of the idiots out. Caroline's face was drowned in tears and the poor lady looked a second away from getting a heart attack. Shit..we need to do something about Sarai. The girl needed help but we can't let her go.

"Sir, I have bandaged the area. It wasn't too deep and there will be no concussion. But she needs a lot of rest. There are marks of self-harm on her wrists and she looks malnourished. It would be better if someone can stay 24/7 with her.", The female doctor said while her eyes stayed downcasted. Good for her because I would hate to carve them out after she did such a good job here.

"Good. Out, now.", I nodded and she scurried off while Caroline stood up again. One glare from me and she was sitting again. Good.

Now, I gotta think. I need a solid plan to make this thing work and to ensure Sarai's safety, especially from her own self.

"Sit here and don't move. The doctor has given her a shot and she will be sleeping until the afternoon. You can sleep if you like but don't fucking move. I don't want another patient in this house!", I ordered Caroline and she nodded saying a meek 'yes'.

I exited the room to find all of them crowding just outside the door.

"I have a plan. Meet me in my study in 10 minutes.", I said and pushed them aside to go to my room.
