Chapter VIII Wedding Day

Chapter VIII
Wedding Day

Jareth's POV
I stood there, twisting my hands togeather. I looked to my right and saw my brother smiling comfortingly at me. I had never been this nervous before, but then again... I had never been stood at the head of an isle, waiting for the love of my life to walk down it behind me and say those two words that would seal our fate forever.
I looked towards Gareth again, but his eyes were focused on the door and he smiled. Some music started to play from all around us and I sighed nervously and then turned towards the doors to see them open.
When I saw Sarah, all the fear left me, and I was left with pure happiness and love. There she was, the woman I was destined to be with for the rest of my life.
The wedding dress she had designed was a white, slim fit on the top, slightly puffy at the bottom dress, with green ivy leaves tracing over the chest pice, down the skirt and around. She had some ivy wound into her hair, that was laying loose over her shoulders in curls.
Ivy leaves, just like the engagement ring I gave her.
I looked into those emerald green eyes as they looked into mine and I smiled, the biggest smile I have done in a very, very long time.
She was beautiful. And she was soon to be mine forever.
Sarah's father Robert kissed her cheek and placed her hand in mine with a smile.
I had grown to like Robert, he was a respectable man who cared deeply for his daughter. He may not have known what it was his ex wife, Karen, was doing to her, but that might have been down to the magic Karen possessed. Ever since then he had been trying to make it up to Sarah, and has been more than welcoming towards me. I had invited him to come and visit whenever he wants.

When Sarah's hand was in mine, she squeezed it. I squeezed hers back gently and she relaxed. The expression on her face was cryptic to anyone else, but I knew her. She was checking to make sure this was real, and in a sense, so was I.
We stood there in silence and exitement as the wise man from the Labyrinth preformed the ceremony.
We didn't have vowes down in the underground which both myself and Sarah were relieved about. We wanted to tell the other what they meant to us in privet, we didn't want to tell the whole room. We thought it would take away a big part of the meaning.
Then he asked the most important question. Do I take Sarah as my queen? As my wife? In my eyes, there was no need for the question.
"I do." I confirmed and Sarah?s smile reached her eyes.
He asked her the same question and she nodded in exitement as she said those two words, the words I needed to hear, but at the same time she did not need to say, because I already knew her answer.
"I do."
I smiled at her and barley heard the wise man pronounce us married. This woman, this amazing woman, was my wife, and would soon be my kind, soon be immortal, we would actually be together forever. We had promises that.
Forever.
When the wise man gave me permition to kiss Sarah, he hadn't even gotten to the end of the sentence before I was there.
Applause erupted around us, but I didn't care. The world melted
