Sarah is sent home and Queen Crystal interfears
Sarah POV
Tina, please, take my hand. Jareth has to keep his word and send us all home. That is the rules, he can't brake them. If he does it'll destroy this world."
"He isn't forcing me to stay." Tina replied.
"Then come with me." I said once more extending my hand out to Tina.
"No. I gave my word that I would willingly pay the price for Jareth granting my wish. I failed to complete the Labyrinth in time. I knew that not only did I have to make it to the castle I also had to make it back to the hill on which the challenge started in order to rescue Tony. I failed to do this in time. Your lucky Jareth is allowed you to leave with Tony. Go, go now before he changes his mind. Besides I have no reason to return to our world." Tina replied.
"Don't be ridiculous, of course their is, there's.... There's..." I paused I was having trouble coming up with something that Tina would find worth returning for. As the clock started striking 13.
"There's what? Family? Don't make me laugh. We aren't a family, not really. Your always off on tour and admit it, my step father and I don't see eye to eye very often and the man I thought to be my father wants nothing to do with me. My dreams are continually shattered. So what should I return for?"
Try as she might I couldn't come up with a response. I sighed in frustration , "Tina please, I'm too tired to have this argument and we are running out of time. Please take my hand and let's go home. I promise we will spend more time together as a family. But right now is not the time to discuss issues. We can discuss it later when we get home."
"Later, it's always later. You never have time for me anymore." Tina replied.
"Tina just because I'm busy doesn't mean that I don't love you. Admit it your not staying here with Jareth because of the contract or because you love him. Your doing this out of spite. You know that's true don't you Jareth? Your thrilled by the idea that my daughter wants to remain here with you out of spite. Because that would mean that you finally beaten me. Well I won't give up that easily. Tina your coming home with me right now."
Tina's buried her face in Jareth's chest and sobbed. "I don't want to go , Jareth please don't make me go with her." Tina begged looking up at Jareth the tears still falling from her eyes.
"I have been generous up until now Sarah but I won't tolerate your interference in this matter. This has nothing to do with you. This is between your daughter and I. Now get out!" Jarerh replied.
"Generous? You have never been generous everything you've do is for selfish reasons." I replied.
"Sarah don't test me you of all people know that I can be just as cruel as I can be generous." Jareth replied an eerie warning in his voice.
"Generous? Tell me Jareth what have you done that is generous and don't say fulfilling my daughters wish for you to kidnap my son. She didn't know what she was doing and you know it."
"I allowed you the chance to rescue both your daughter and your son. I wasn't bound to any rules saying that I had to give you that chance isn't that generous?" Jareth questioned.
"I shouldn't have had to rescue them. You kidnapped them and you had no right to do so."
"Look as much as I'd love to debate this with you for eternity it's time you were going." Jareth replied.
"I told you I'm not leaving without my daughter!" Sarah replied stubbornly.
"You don't have a choice." With that Jareth forced Sarah and her son through the portal and closed it.
"Jareth don't do this!" Sarah called to him but it was too late Jareth had closed the portal and there was no way to return.
Tina POV
I realized that I was now trapped in his world forever. I'd never see my family again. Upon coming to this realization I slumped to the floor and moaned. "What have I done?" A small tear running down my cheek. As it did it crystallized and suddenly The Lady who had claimed to be Jareth's Queen was in the throne room and at my side.
"Don't cry sweet child. I am here to help." The Lady said causing Jareth to turn around in surprise.
"What are you doing in my castle?" He demanded.
"I came to rescue this poor girl who you have kidnapped from her family. I am here to ensure that she is returned to her world." The woman who claimed to be Jareth's Queen replied.
"You could do at?" I asked in surprise.
"My dear sweet child, I told you when we first met that is what I do. It's what I live for. To help poor unfortunate young women like yourself. Did you think that you were special? That Jareth actually cares about you? You really are a foolish child. I told you Jareth doesn't care about anyone but himself. Believe me I learned that the hard way. I was once like you my child. Slightly insecure. I argued with my mother too I thought I could make my problems disappear by staying here with him. However, he proved to be as cruel as my mother had warned and I have been his prisoner ever since that fateful day. However, I have learned a few tricks since I've been here. I can send you home right now if that's what you desire."
At this Jarreth scoffed. "You have no power here be gone you wicked witch. You know you can not take what rightfully belongs to me. Besides, She is here of her own free will. She chose to remain in this world. She chose to forfeit her freedom in exchange for her family isn't that right Tina?" Jareth asked holding out his hand for her to take.
"Yes I made the choice for my family I would stay but I..." I paused and looked down at the ground for a moment. "She's right I didn't deserve to loose my freedom in this way. I'd have chosen to stay here with you without you tricking me into it. I just wanted you to love me but you can't can you?" I asked sadly.
"Seems to me like she has regretted her choice and now desires to return home. She has seen your anger, your cruelty and though it's true she does have feelings for you it isn't love it's fear. I won't stand by and allow you to turn her dreams into a nightmare." With that the so called queen opened a portal. "Here, this is your way home my dear. Go through that portal and this will have been all a bad dream."
Tina looked at the portal then at the ice queen and then finally at me. "She is right I am afraid of you. However, that doesn't mean that I don't love you. I want to stay here with you. I just didn't realize that in doing so I'd never get to see my family again. Please Jareth..." Before Tina could finish her sentence the woman claiming to be Jareth's true Queen pushed Tina causing her to stumble backward and fall into the portal. "Jareth!" She called reaching up towards the portal entrance but try as she might she could not make it. She just kept spiraling downward into complete darkness and as she fell further downward she lost consciousness.
The Queen laughed evilly. "At last! I have won! You and your kingdom now belong to me!" When Tina awoke she found that she wasn't in her room she was in a dungeon chained to the wall. She struggled to free herself but it was impossible. "Ah, I see our guest is awake at last." Jareth's so called Queen said with an evil smile.
"I thought you said that portal would return me home and all of this would have been a nightmare." Tina asked with a frown.
"Yes, well, I couldn't take the chance that you might find someway to return. You see, I have wanted Jareth's kingdom for my own so we made a bet. If Sarah returned to the labryinth to be his queen or if another member of her family chose to love him for who he really was then he could keep his kingdom and I'd return to my castle never to darken his doorstep again. However, if he couldn't find someone to love him then he and everything he owns belong to me. Things were working wonderfully the time for our bet was almost over. Then you had to come into the picture and ruin things for me. All seemed lost and then you shed that beautiful tear of regret and at last I had him. Would you like to see your beloved Jareth?" With that the Jareth's so called queen whistled and a creature that looked and sounded like Jareth but yet wasn't Jareth walked into the room.
"You called my queen?" This Jareth creature asked kneeling down, well to be more accurate bowing down before the evil Queen.
"What have you done to him?" Tina asked stifling a cry and struggling with her chains
"He belongs to me now his body, his mind and his soul. He has no power anymore and he can not love anyone unless I allow it. He has admitted defeat he is no longer the Jareth that you knew and loved. He is my obedient slave and he lives only to please me. Isn't that right my beloved?" The evil Queen said turning to Jareth.
"Yes my queen." Jareth replied in a monotone voice.
"Jareth, what's wrong with you? Why are you obeying her? This isn't her kingdom it's yours. Jareth please come back to us."
Crystal chuckled again and her smile widened. "Us? What us? "He can't hear you my dear and he can't see you he is blind to everyone except me. Even if I allowed him to see you he wouldn't care. He can not break the spell I hold over him and neither can you."
"Then why are you afraid of me?" Tina challenged.
"Me afraid of you?" Crystal scoffed don't make me laugh!"
"If your not afraid of me then why not let me go? Why keep me here? Why not send me back to my world forever banishing me from this place?" Tina questioned.
"I don't have to answer to the likes of you!" Cryatal replied twirling around the door closing behind her.
"She's afraid of something I can feel it but what?" Tina asked to no one in particular.
"Hello,."
Looking around her cell Tina spotted a very familiar blue worm. "Did you say hello?"
"No, I said hello but I guess it's all the same. To answer your question perhaps the queen is afraid you'll find a way to break her spell."
"How can we break the spell she holds over him? How can I thaw his frozen heart?"
"I do not know. I'm only a worm. However, I have often heard it said and have read in many books that true love conquers all. The question is do you love him? Do you truly love him?"
"Yes. I do. I wouldn't have chosen to stay with him if I didn't."
"Ahh but if you truly loved him why did you shed that tear of regret when your mother and brother returned home without you?" The worm asked.
"It wasn't a tear of regret. I was saying goodbye. There has got to be a way to save Jareth but how?"
"There is indeed a way to save the king however, I unfortunately am not allowed to tell you." The worm replied.
"Please I can't bear to see him like this. I... I love him."
"Then there is indeed a glimmer of hope."
