Ch2. Birthday's
I wake up early the next morning.
It's the 31st of July-I'm twelve today!
I am about to go over to the bed across the room, but there is no bed. This is going to take some getting used to.
I get up and tip-toe to Bonnie's room. I quietly open the door, tip-toe over to her bed and jump on. I bounce, hard.
"Wake up sleepy head!" I half-yell.
Bonnie groans.
"Come on, Happy Birthday!" I say.
"Alright, alright!" Bonnie says as she sits up.
Oops, I should not have woken the sleeping dragon.
"Here," I say. "I got you a present, come."
I drag Bonnie to my bedroom.
I go over the bed, reach under it and pull out a small box wrapped in orange paper-Bonnie's favourite colour.
A couple of days ago I went out and got both Bonnie and Harry birthday present's.
For Bonnie I got a silver, heart-shaped locket with one picture of me and her, and one of me, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Bonnie and Amy. And for Harry I got a book. Not just any book-otherwise he'd hate it-it's a book on Quidditch. It's called Quidditch For Fanatic's, he'll love it...I hope.
I watch as Bonnie opens up the tiny package.
She gasps at the locket.
"Thank you Sarah!" She exclaims. "I love it."
She puts on the locket straight away.
"I got you something too," Bonnie says.
She did? I wonder when? I got hers a few nights ago. We never buy presents for each other...
I follow Bonnie into her bedroom.
Just as I did, she reaches under the bed and pulls out a purple package-my favourite colour.
"Go on, open it," Bonnie says, passing me the present.
I rip open the paper. Inside is box. I open the box and there is another box.
I look up to Bonnie, who has a large grin on her face.
I open the next box to find a book. It's a photo album.
I open the album to see a picture of Bonnie and I just before we're about to catch the Hogwarts Express last year, the next page has a picture of us with Harry on the train, then of Harry, Ron, Bonnie and I, then of all of us-Harry, Ron, Hermione, Bonnie, Amy and I. The rest of the album just shows photos of all our adventures last year.
Tears spring to my eyes. All these memories...she put a lot of work into this.
"Thanks Bon, I love it," I say and I hug her.
A few moments later Dad walks in.
"Oh, Happy Birthday girls," He says and gives us a present each.
"Thanks Dad," We chant.
I rip open my present. Inside is a few sets of clothes, some new lipgloss and two outfits for Snow.
"Haha, thanks Dad," I say again. He just smiles at me.
"Are you going to see Harry today, girls?" He asks me.
"Of course Dad-did you think that I was going to ignore him on our birthday? This is the first birthday I'll have with him," I say.
He chuckles.
I look over to see that Bonnie got the muggle camera(a cool object that takes pictures) that she was asking for.
"Well, how about you go and get him-he can come over for lunch-"
"Thanks Dad!" I say as I jump up and hug him. "I'm going to get dressed in this fab new outfit."
I leave the room to put on the new outfit Dad bought me-I think he got help from Bonnie, he's not too good with matching clothes together.
It's a purple tank top with a yellow smiley face and a new pair of denim shorts-mine were wearing out. I put them on and to go with the outfit, I put on a pair of purple converse. I finish my outfit off by putting on the lipgloss. Perfect.
When I'm finished, I pick up Snow(who is very lazy I might add), where she is lying on my bed.
I dress her in one of the new outfits-a purple suit with little purple shoes-she looks so adorable.
Satisfied, I leave and go back to Bonnie's room, with Snow, where she's already dressed in a plain blue tank top and black denim shorts with blue flip-flops.
Just like I have every colour in converse, Bonnie has every colour in flip-flops.
"That's suits you," She says to me.
"Thanks. You too."
We giggle.
"And Snow looks so adorable!" She almost squeals.
"I know right," I agree.
"Lets go outside-its a lovely day," Bonnie says and she grabs her new camera.
Bonnie and I take some pictures of flowers, trees, bushes, houses, cars, signs-you name it. When we had nothing else to take pictures of, we took pictures of ourselves.
Once we're done, it's about eleven o'clock. Wow, we were out for a few hours.
"Dad, we're just going to get Harry, we'll be back soon," I yell into the house once we get back.
"Okay," I hear him yell from the kitchen.
Bonnie and I run over to Harry's place-with Bonnie nearly tripping over in her flip-flops as we walk across the grass.
I ring the doorbell. The door snaps open.
"It's you. What do you want?" Vernon says rudely.
"Is Harry there?" I ask.
"Yes-but he's not coming out."
"Why?" I ask curiously.
"Because he isn't," And Vernon slams the door.
So much for being nice.
I'm not leaving until we get Harry. That's one thing about me-if I want something, I don't stop trying for it.
I ring the doorbell again. No answer.
I ring again. Still no answer.
I ring yet again and finally the door opens again. This time it's Petunia.
"What?" She asks rudely.
"Can we see Harry?"
"Yes, but he's not coming out-"
"Why can't he come out?" I ask nicely.
"We're preparing for a party, so leave."
Harry's getting a party? He must be lucky this year-the Dursley's must have changed heart...then I think, maybe not.
"Please-" I beg.
"No-"
"Why not?"
"Because-"
"Because why?" I can tell I'm getting her annoyed because she sighs and yells up the stairs. "Potter!"
Score!
"Yes Aunt Petunia?" Harry asks and then he sees us. "Sarah! Bonnie! Good to see you again-"
"There, you've seen him, now go," She orders to me and Bonnie, then she slams the door.
I look at Bonnie. She looks unhappy, I am too. It's our birthday after all.
I look up to Harry's window-he told me where his room was-his is exactly where mine is-the room with the window facing the road. I see him staring out. He smiles sadly at me. How I wish he could come out.
I wave him goodbye and walk back home with Bonnie.
"We're back," I say as I walk into the kitchen.
"Hey sweetie, where's Harry?" Dad says.
"Vernon and Petunia wouldn't let him out. We saw him, but that's it-"
"I'm going over there now-"
"Don't worry Dad, you don't have to."
She sighs. "I'm sorry, honey."
"It's okay Dad, There's no need to be sorry-"
"No, it's just that I'm sorry that you can't see Harry on your birthday-and his."
I nod.
"I'm going upstairs," I make my way upstairs and Bonnie follows.
We go into my room and go through the photos that we took. We deleted most of the pictures of us, but most of the other ones we kept because they were actually quite good.
In the afternoon, Dad took us out shopping at the nearest Shopping Center in Little Whinging-it only had a few shops but it was enough-and bought some more clothes.
All afternoon we watched a few movies and went to the park in Magnolia Cresent-a street not far from here-to hang out.
That night, Bonnie and I just stay up and chat like we are at a sleepover until really early in the morning when we notice a bright light outside the window.
"What's that?" Bonnie whispers.
"I don't know," I whisper back.
It's a bit creepy. Ha, it's just a light, come on.
It turns out to be a car-a flying car to be a but more specific. It has to be someone magical.
The car stops outside Harry's window next door.
Bonnie and I edge closer to the window to get a better look.
I see Harry lean out his window and talk to someone.
Then I see him step back as the person in the car puts something on the bars on Harry's window...wait, bars? When did that happen? Anyway, then the car drives off pulling the bars away.
I see Harry pass over his school trunk and Hedwig quickly through the window and he tries to climb out into the car but a foot grabs his leg.
I gasp and Bonnie does too beside me.
Then the car drives off and Vernon falls out the window. I laugh out loud hoping something bad happened.
The car drives off into the distance. Well, that was cool. I wonder who was in the car?
Bonnie and I decide that it's time to sleep and she goes off to her room. I change into my tinkerbell tank top and green shorts and snuggle up in my new bed. I'm so happy that I get to finally sleep in my room.
I soon drift off into a dreamless sleep.

A/N
Okay I'm sorry it was late-throw your tomatoes at me!
I will catch them to make a tomato soup-wait, I don't like tomato soup...
Anyway, sorry it's been a while, I've been busy with school and homework and parties and other stuff :(
I am just lucky that I don't have exams like the year 9's and 7's(I'm in year 8). If I did, I would be studying more than uploading...
Anyway, I hope you liked the chapter,
Bai :)
