Ch15: Looks Like Fate Isn't On My Side-part 2

Please read the Authors Note at the end please :)

(I jut said please twice, what?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The last thing I see is a wave of smoke and I feel myself stiffen, then I fall unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I wake up to the sound of people bustling around in a hurry. I look around. I'm surrounded by professors. Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Madam Pince and Madam Pomfrey.

I get up.

"I'm alright" I say.

They ignore me.

"Uh, hello?" I say, confused.

They ignore me again.

"Can someone tell me what's going on?" I ask.

Once again, they ignore me.

I walk over to where Hermione is laying, stiff.

I try to touch her, but my hand goes straight through her body. I jerk my hand away faster than you could say my name.

I look back to where the Professor's are crowded.

I can't see what they're looking at, so I 'squeeze' in to have a look, more like walk through them.

I gasp. It's me. I'm laying there, with my eyes wide open and as stiff as a board.

I start to panic. What the hell is happening? Why can I see my body? Why can't I touch anything?

"Sarah?" A voice says.

I turn around. It's Hermione. But she's...transparent.

"Hermione? What happened to you? You're transparent." I say.

"So are you." She says. She suddenly gasps. "Sarah...I think we're petrified."

"I don't feel any different though." I say.

"Neither do I." She says. "Maybe we should leave. Hang on, if we're like this, then all the other petrified people will be too!"

"They would! Let's go find them!" I say.

As I walk with Hermione, I start to think about all of this.

So, first I'm petrified. Second, I'm basically a ghost that can't be seen. And third, I can have no contact with anyone but the already petrified people. Yep, this is all really confusing right now.

As we walk down the halls, we can see the students making their way down to the pitch, ready for the Quidditch game...The Game! Oh no, I've let the team down, I can't play. They won't have a Seeker.

"Hermione, can we go down to the pitch? I want to know what they're going to do, plus I want to see the game." I say.

"I guess we could." She says. So, Hermione and I follow the students down to the pitch.

Once we get down there, I run from Hermione and over to the Gryffindor change rooms.

The rest of the team is there, all anxious. Probably waiting for me.

"Where is she? We can't start without her." Fred says, peering out the entrance.

"I don't know, she just went to the library with Hermione before going to get her stuff for the game. She can't be too long." Harry says.

After about a minute or two, Wood finally speaks.

"We'll just have to play without her or something." He says. "Of we could ask Professor to postpone the game-"

"Wood, I'm sure she'll be here." George says.

"Let's go." Wood says, ignoring George.

"What? We can't play without a Seeker." Angelina says.

"We're going to have to." Wood says.

The rest of the team starts to protest.

"Fine!" Wood says. "I'll talk to Professor McGonagall about postponing the match okay?"

So, the team leaves the change rooms. But once they get to the entrance to the pitch, they are stopped by McGonagall.

She must be here about me.

"This match has been cancelled." McGonagall says to Wood.

"What? Professor, you can't cancel Quidditch-" Wood protests.

"Quiet, Wood. You will go back and get dressed. Potter," she says to Harry. "Could you please get Ms Lupin and come with me. You can bring Mr Weasley and Ms Fields too if you wish."

"But Professor-" Harry says.

"No buts, Potter." McGonagall says.

Harry sighs and runs off to find the others.

After finding Bonnie, Ron and Amy, I follow them all to the Hospital Wing. They got me there fast.

"This may come as a bit of a shock for you four." McGonagall says to Harry, Ron, Bonnie and Amy as they enter the Hospital Wing. "There has been another attack...a triple attack."

McGonagall leads them over to two beds, where both Hermione and I are laying, still.

Across from us, is a girl, Penelope Clearwater. She was found not far from us.

"Hermione." Ron groans.

"Sarah." Harry says in a whisper, as he runs over to my bed.

Amy claps a hand to her mouth as tears leak from her eyes. Bonnie looks horrified and starts to sob.

Bonnie then collapses to the floor and starts muttering uncontrollably, "my fault, my fault."

Bonnie? No. She can't be. Bonnie can't be the once behind this. She can't be the Heir of Slytherin. I mean, she's in Gryffindor.

I look behind me, Hermione is there. She looks pitiful. I go over to her and hug her. It hurts to see our friends like this.

"Come on, we'd best go." Hermione says.

"No." I say. "We can't, we have to find a way to tell them we're okay-"

"Sarah, we can't-" Hermione starts to say.

"We will find a way." I say.

I look back to the others. They're all in between the beds, Amy supporting Bonnie, who is still sobbing.

"They were found near the library." McGonagall says.

"More like in the library." I say to Hermione. She manages to giggle.

"This was lying next to the both of them." McGonagall says, and she holds up Hermione's mirror. "Can you explain why it would be there?"

"No, but that mirror is Hermione's." Amy tells her.

McGonagall nods. "I will escort you four back to your common room, I need to address the students in any case."

I watch the five of them leave.

I need to find a way to come back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"All students will return to their house common rooms by six o'clock in the evening. No student is to leave the dormitories after that time. You will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No student is to use the bathroom unaccompanied by a teacher. All further Quidditch training and matches are to be postponed. There will be no more evening activities. No exceptions." McGonagall addresses everyone that evening, with all the Gryffindor's packed inside the common room.
In the corner are Harry, Ron and Amy. All looking upset. Bonnie secluded herself from everyone, sitting on the stairs, crying. Fred and George are sitting on a couch with Ginny. And everyone else is just sitting, silently.
"I need hardly add that I have rarely been so distressed. It is likely that the school will be closed unless the culprit is caught. I would urge anyone who has any knowledge about these attacks, to come foreword." McGonagall says, and then she leaves.
The Gryffindor's begin talking immediately.
They're all coming up with theories, and how none of the Syltherins have been targeted.
There are only three people who are deadly silent. Percy, Ginny and Bonnie.
It's obvious that Percy is scared, since Penelope was a Prefect. He must've thought the Heir wouldn't dare attack a Prefect.
I have a feeling I know why Bonnie is quiet. I think she's involved with this somehow, but I don't know about Ginny.
Harry, Ron and Amy are talking in the corner with obvious hushed voices.
I've had enough, so I go up to our dormitory and try to get onto my bed. I can't. So I just lie on the floor, I can do that, and fall asleep.
A/N-PLEASE READ
Yes, Sarah is petrified, dun dun duuuun.
But yeah. This is only short because it's part two of a chapter. But I will get to the next chapter ASAP.
Question: should I have a chapter where it's just Amy or Bonnie's POV?
Question 2: okay, so I'm almost a 10k [cue party noises] and I want to do something for it. I was thinking a contest. I already have ideas and such, but would you guys participate? I just don't want to have a contest that no one will participate in.
Just letting you know, the contest would involve like writing a chapter, or making a graphic or something along those lines. There would be prizes in store too :)
And his is becoming a long Authors Note...
Vote, comment, fan....whatever.
Hugs and butterfly kisses,
~Elise
