Ch22. End of the Year
*Edited*
The next morning, I feel almost normal.
Except for my arm. It needs more healing than a normal break, as I went through more after it broke.
"Madam Pomfrey?" I ask. "Can I go to the feast?"
"Professor Dumbledore says you are to be allowed to go. You and your brother."
Yay!
"And you have another visitor."
It's Hagrid!
Hagrid comes in and plops into the seat in between Harry and I's beds.
He bursts into tears.
"It's-all-my-ruddy-fault!" He sobs, "I told the evil git how ter get past Fluffy! I told him! It was the only thing he didn't know an' I told him! Yeh could've died! All fer a dragon egg! I'll never drink again! I should be chucked out an' made ter live as a muggle!"
"Hagrid," Harry says. "Hagrid he'd have found out somehow-"
"Yeah, This is Voldemort we're talking about, he would've found out another way-"
"Yeh could've died!" He sobs. "An' don't say the name-"
"VOLDEMORT!" Harry and I bellow at the same time.
Hagrid is so shocked and he stops crying.
"We've met him, and we're calling him by his name," I say. "'Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself'."
"Please cheer up, Hagrid, "Harry says. "We saved the Stone, it's gone, he can't use it. Here, have a chocolate frog, I've got loads-"
Aha! I know just the prank. Not bad, good.
"Hagrid," I suddenly say. "When you go, can you send in Fred and George?"
"Sure," He mumbles.
Here we go.
"Anyway, I got a present for yeh's," Hagrid says.
"It's not a sandwich is it?" Harry asks.
I giggle.
"Nah," he says. "Dumbledore gave me the day off ter fix it. He shoulda sacked me instead-anyway, I got yeh's this..."
He gets out a leather book. I take it and open it, Harry looking over my shoulder.
It's got heaps of moving photos of-
"Our parents," Harry whispers.
"Sent owls off ter all yeh parents' old school friends, askin' fer photos...knew yeh's didn't have any...d'yeh like it?"
"I love it Hagrid! Dad only gave me one photo after I found out that I'm a Potter."
"Oh yeah, that reminds me. Sarah," Hagrid says. "Dumbledore wanted me ter give yeh this," He hands me a small, heart-shaped, golden locket with swirls on it.
I open it. I gasp. It has two pictures on either side. One with Dad and Harry, the other with me and Mum.
"It's beautiful," I say.
I put it on.
"I will wear it forever."

Harry and I are finally walking down to the end-of-year feast after Madam Pomfrey fussing over us, insisting on a last check-up.
"Finally we're out!" I say.
Naturally, we're late, so the rest of the school is already seated at the tables.
It's decorated in the Slytherin colours; green and silver, to celebrate their win of the House cup.
When Harry and I walk in, there is a sudden hush and then everyone starts talking loudly again.
Harry slips in between Ron and Hermione while I slip in between Bonnie and Amy.
Finally the talking dies as Dumbledore gets up.
"Another year, gone," he says. "And I must trouble you with another old mans wheezing waffle before we sink our teeth into a delicious feast. What a year! Hopefully your heads are fuller than they were...you have the whole of the summer to empty them for next year.
Now, as I understand, the House cup needs awarding and the points stand thus; in fourth place, Gryffindor, with three-hundred and twelve points; in third, Hufflepuff, with three-hundred and fifty-two points; Ravenclaw have four-hundred and twenty-six points and Slytherin, four-hundred and seventy-two points."
There is a loud roaring from the Slytherin table. It's sickening.
"Yes, well done, Slytherin, however, I have a few last-minute points to dish out; first-to Mr Ronald Weasley,"
Ron goes purple in the face.
"For the best-played chess game Hogwarts has seen these many years, fifty points."
The Gryffindor table erupts into cheers for Ron.
"Second, to Miss Bonnie Lupin; for assisting in the best-played chess game at Hogwarts, twenty-five points."
Gryffindors cheer again.
"Third, to Miss Hermione Granger, also for the good use of friendship in the face if death, twenty points."
We all cheer again.
"Fourth, to Miss Amy Fields, also for the good use of friendship in the face of death, twenty points."
"Fifth, to Miss Sarah Potter, for the cool use of logic in the face of fire and pure nerve and outstanding courage, sixty points."
The Gryffindor table erupts into the loudest cheers so far.
If only it was one more point...
"Sixth, to Mr Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage. I award Gryffindor house, fifty points."
Gryffindors erupt into the loudest cheers I have ever heard. We've won the house cup!
"If my calculations are correct," Dumbledore says. "I think we need a change of decoration."
He claps his hands and the Slytherin decorations turn into Gryffindor decorations.
"Gryffindor win, the House cup!"
The whole hall(except the Slytherins) erupt into loud cheers.
This is the first time in seven years!
I look over and see Professor Snape reluctantly shaking Professor McGonagall's hand as McGonagall is shedding tears of happiness.
"Now?" I whisper to George over the noise.
"Now," He says.
We grab Fred and yell to the hall "Happy Holidays!"
We shoot the spell to the roof and a thousand chocolate frogs burst down and rain through the hall.
All the students are catching them all happy and smiling. Even the Slytherins. Well, nearly all the Slytherins.
This is the best day of my life. Better than any birthday or Christmas! I will never forget tonight.

I had almost forgot about exam results.
They came the next day.
I was so worried but I passed most definitely. I even did better than Hermione. I didn't fail even one class.
I wasn't happy that Malfoy, Pug-faced Parkinson, Crabbe and Goyle made it through to second year, but you can't get everything in life.
Soon, all our wardrobes are empty, our trunks are packed and we are at Hogsmeade station so we can catch the Hogwarts Express home.
It's a long quiet journey home. I think I fell asleep too.
Finally we reach platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
I start searching the platform for Dad.
I see him.
He's over near the Dursley's and a family that must be Ron's.
"Hey Dad!" I say as I fling my arms around his waist.
"Hello, sweetie. How was Hogwarts?"
"It was awesome! I can't wait until next year! I'll tell you all about it in the car."
Everyone who passes me and Harry yells 'Bye Potter's' or 'see you, Potter's' or 'still famous I see'.
Wait. That was Ron.
"Not where I come from," Harry says to him.
I go over to Harry.
"Harry, maybe I can convince Dad to like adopt you."
He looks at me. Is that, hope?
I giggle.
I follow Harry with Ron to the Weasley's.
"Busy year?" Says a plump woman who has to be Ron's Mum. It's the hair.
"Very," Harry and I say together.
We laugh.
"Oh, thanks for the jumper Mrs Weasley. It was very warm."
"Oh, it was nothing dear," She says.
"Are you ready, boy?"
I turn around to see Harry's, our, uncle. Vernon Dursley's. he matches Harry's description. Fat, blonde, no neck, moustache. I got it.
Next to Vernon is Petunia. She is the opposite to Vernon. She has dark brown hair, a slim, well, bony, build and a look on her face as if there's something under her nose.
I guess their son Dudley isn't there. Either with a friend, or in the car. Harry told me a lot about him.
"You must be Harry's family!" Mrs Weasley says.
"In a manner of speaking," Vernon says. "Hurry up boy."
"Bye Harry," I say giving him a big hug. "I'll write heaps, I promise."
"Me too," He says.
He is soon dragged off by his uncle.
"Have fun!" I yell out.
"Hello Remus," Mrs Weasley says to Dad.
"Molly, it's good to see you," Dad says.
They know each other? Well, that's interesting.
"Can we go now Dad?" Bonnie and I whine.
He chuckles.
"Lets go kids."
Hmm. This summer will be boring until I see Harry again.
But so long until next year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car ride to the Leaky Cauldron consists of me and Bonnie telling Dad of all our adventures this year.
Dad did disapprove of my pranks but he was still proud of me.
What an eventful year.
