The Whomping Willow

>Third Person<
Even though Sarah wasn't attending the Yule Ball, she had to wear something formal, well since you have to and Mia won't stop telling her to. She wore a beautiful midnight-black dress and some white doll-shoes to go with it. Sarah went alone to the Great Hall, it was deadly silent to tell you the truth.
She gasped when opening the Great Hall's huge doors, it looked so...so...marvelous. No great, awesome, fancy, altogether.

Walking in, she spotted Albus, Rose, and Mia signaling her to go sit with them. She sat down and looked around seeing thousands of students. "So. You're not joining the ball?, Albus asked. "Yeah, sorry. I just don't feel it" Sarah said looking at Mia. "Hmph. I thought every student should go" Mia exclaimed crossing her arms. "Well I guess, someone's wrong" she replied laughing.

"Guys, don't forget about what Proffesor Mcgonnagal told us. We're only staying up until 11pm. Remember what happened to the first years last year? Eventually, after that, all of them got sick, I don't know why but-" Rose told them cutted off. "Good evening, students! Please enjoy the evening. And also...let the dancing begin!" Mcgonnagal said clapping at the end of the sentence. Music out of nowhere started to play, and everybody got up, starting to dance.
"So. Let's see who's lonely..." Mia told her grinning and taking Cameron's hand. "Whatever, Mia. Anyways, I'm going out" Sarah said going out, she didn't know what to do, so she went exploring the grounds. She saw this old tree, it was a... Whomping Willow. It can crush and squeeze your bones until they break and'll kill anything that comes nearer.

But MEANWHILE... Snape stood up. He got curious when Sarah walked out, 'maybe she's up to something?'. He followed her out secretly and flicked a light in his wand. He lost her track and saw the Whomping Willow. He remembered, when he was little, he'll touch a secret branch (then the tree won't attack him) and used to sit under the tree.

He touched the branch and sat at the side of the tree. Looking up at the sky, it reminded him of his first years at Hogwarts with Lily. But something was around him. It was like...a creature. It may be a person, since it was singing and humming. Just then he turned around seeing someone sitting at the other side of the tree too.

🎶Close your eyes. Dry your tears.... You'll be safe here🎶

It was Sarah.

He remembered that she didn't attended the ball, but how was she not attacked by the tree? "Sarah?" Snape muttered, Sarah quickly turned around looking quite pale and scared. "Oh, proffesor! Sorry, I didn't know-"
"It's alright" Snape told her cutting her sentence. "How- I mean, what is that song you were singing?" he asked curiously. "The song I was singing? I just only knew the chorus. Why?" Sarah said trying to avoid eye contact, 'cause it can be creepy looking at those dark black eyes. When Sarah asked Why? he looked a bit pale. It would be rude to not answer it, but he wanted that to be a secret only he knew. "I- i- once sang it to my...daughter. When she cries" Snape answered, really quietly. But Sarah heared everything, he had a daughter? 'This is starting to get confusing...' Sarah thought, well first of all, we all know that Snape was a private guy, but he had a daughter?! "You have a daughter? Where is she?" Sarah asked curiously. "I shouldn't have said that. I shouldn't have said that. I shouldn't have said." Snape told himself face palming his face. "Oh. Well, I'll keep it a secret" Sarah told him, it was obvious he didn't want anyone to know about it.

"Where is she, actually?" Sarah asked, Snape told her too much. "Oh. Sorry, I shouldn't ask too much. Anyways, I'll go" Sarah said standing up feeling sheepish. "No. Wait. Sorry. I can tell you a bit about her...if you'll wanna stay. But if not, it's alright" Snape said tugging her arm back. She nodded then sat back down. "Wait. Before I answer you, how did you make the Whomping Willow not attack you?" Snape asked. "I touched the secret branch. Everything in this world has a weakness" she told him gazing at the stars.

"So can you answer my question now?" Sarah said, Snape had a curl in his lip. "Well. My daughter was also named Sarah. She used to look a lot like me, and I hope she still does-" "Wait. What do you mean, I hope she still does. Isn't she still with you?" Sarah asked cutting him off. "I... Left her years ago. When she was just around 1. I just had to" his grin faded with a tear. "Oh. Sorry. I think I'll should go... They might look for me. Good evening, Professor Snape" she said walking away smiling.

P.O.V. SEVERUS
This is bad. I told her about my daughter. Ps sorry for not telling but I just can't think of her. Sarah did reminded me of my daughter.... Wait, I think I know what to do.

I got up, went the other direction and picked up a pretty fast speed. I was pretty much in a hurry since I want to know this now. After a few minutes, I came at the front of the painting and whispered Transfiguration. The painting let me in and I bust in like a mad-wizard. "Minerva!" I was in her office. She was just in front of me at her table, reading some files. "Good evening, Severus" she answered me not looking. "I need you to show me something!" I told her panting, just walking to her office was like 6 meter run.

"And that will be and why?" she asked having a weird expression. "The list of the first year students. I want to know who Sarah's parents are. Because... she wants to know, and I'm willing to help her" I told her sitting.
"If you wish to face the truth, Severus. Then you may." Then she pulled out a piece of parchement out of a drawer, that held a code, and handed it to me. "Here is the list. They may be a few..." And her voice trailed off. It was in alphabetical order from their first names, and spotted Sarah's. I took a deep breath and looked at the spot where who her parents were. "Oh my merlin..."
