CHAPTER 9.

I'm missing you.. literally

Shane's p.o.v.

I kept staring at my cellphone just waiting for it to ring but it just wont, i had a bad feeling, its been thirdty minutes and she hasnt even texted.

"when i close my eyes its you i see! when i close my-" i answered my phone immediately after hearing her home number ringtone when i close my eyes by: dougal and gammer ft.

jenna (a/n: look up ultimate hardcore mix 2 on youtube thats the version i listen too!!) "shane it's me sarah's mom" she said in a panicky voice

"what is it mrs land?" i said starting to get worried too

"it's sarah she hasnt come home yet" she said sobbing  and i heard the phone being passed over to someone

"shane its her dad anyways have you seen-" he was cut off by a piercing howl that meant it was about to strike its kill, then i heard a bone chilling scream... her scream..

i dropped the phone and ran as fast as i could "pack emergency now!" i said using my alpha tone and shifting once i hit the porch and heard more tearing of clothes and paws hitting

the muddy ground 'shane moon what is going on?!' my dads voice said through the mind link 'sarah is being attacked' i said sounding like im about to cry and started running faster

to the meeting spot. When we got there you could smell the blood oozing off the tree's and on the ground, i took another deep breath and caught a scent but not the one i wanted.

i looked over to where the scent was strongest and saw devon in human form with cuts all over him he was bleeding bad but his hands were coated with her blood..

i heard the most vicious growl ever but then i realized it was coming from me "where's my mate!" i screamed through the link which made everyone wince,

"what are you talking about mate?!" said my father in a questioning voice

"she's my mate i know she is" i said starting to sob in the link

"son you dont know for sure until your birthday okay?" he said in a comforting voice

"she's mine" i growled and looked over at devon who had jace by his side "you did this!" i said angrily

"yes but i had good reason but someone stopped me before i could finish the job" he said his voice soft and scared but that didnt matter all that mattered was her being hurt and

bleeding. i was about to lunge at him before my father stopped me "enough son go look for her we can deal with this later alright?" he said glancing at me then back at devon.

"yes father" i said running through the tree's as fast i could but i couldnt pick up a scent only animals and wild flowers.

It was dawn and i and the pack had searched the whole forest and town she was nowhere to be found. i shifted back to my human form and leaned on a tree and just cried

"sarah!" i screamed at my loudest hoping that maybe she would hear me.

Sarah's p.o.v.

"sarah!" i heard someone screaming in the distance, thats when i shot up remembering everything that had just happened.

i looked around and it looked like i was in some kind of wooden room, it had a desk with all my favorite books on it but my bag was next to me with all my stuff including my books

and there was something that looked kinda like a coffee table but it was covered with a deep red silk cover. 'shouldnt i be in massive amounts of pain' i thought to myself then

looked at my arms there was nothing there but claw mark shaped scars, i traced them with my fingers and looked around the room again and noticed something in the corner watching

me and that thing had white hair and dark deep brown eyes. "a-alex?" i whispered and he came out of the dark crawling over to me

"how are you feeling" he said caringly and picked one of my arms up and examined it

"f-fine but shouldnt i be bleeding or.. dead" i whispered trying to ignore the sparks coming from arm

he chuckled "you should be but you arent" he said smiling with a wink

"but how-" i was cut off whenever i  looked into his eyes the whole scene changed he looked younger maybe fifteen and he was on the side of a huge king bed with deep red satin

sheets and pillows with black lace there was a woman laying there who looked really pale and had black bags under her eyes, "my sweet alex" she said in a breathy voice, i knew it was

her.. it was his mom.. dying. "mother dont leave me" he sobbed you could see three other figures in the room but they were blurred out. "goodbye my loves" she said in a scratchy

voice and closed her eyes, she didnt move anything infact no one did, she was dead and the vision ended. "sarah?" alex said waving his hand in front of my face, i jumped on him

with a hug "thank you" i said tears streaming down my face from the vision and him saving me

"i missed you" he whispered sadly

"i missed you too" i whispered back squeezing him tighter, i heard a sob but it wasnt coming from either of us, alex pulled away and stood up to go look out a window i didnt see

before "you should go to him, he thinks your dead" he said sadly shaking his head

"i will but only if you go to dinner with me tonight?" i said with a small smile "you know to catch up" i added

"deal i'll pick you up at five pm" he said smiling brightly and opened a door that was across the room from the window, it had a small latter where i could climb down

"bye alex thanks again" i said smiling and started climbing down as fast as i could, when i was about three steps down i jumped which made some leafs crunch but that didnt matter.

"shane!" i yelled at him and his head snapped over, his eyes were dark blue and he had tears running down his face.

"sarah" he whispered and i just ran to him and hugged him, he lifted me up and spun me around "your so clich-" i was cut off when he put me down and kissed me slowly

"dont ever scare me like that again" he said pecking me on the lips and pulling away  looking at my arms, i tried to yank them away but he wouldnt let go

"your arms..." he said confused

"dont ask me" i said simply

"they have scars.. you couldnt.. unless.."

"unless what?" i asked

"unless your a wolf or a vampire" he said smiling 

"yah right" i said chuckling

"we should get you home" he said smiling still

"yeah my parents are probably freaking out" i said getting worried

"they called" he said and started walking

"we're walking?" i said

"well yah as you see i only have a pair of shorts on and i dont wanna ruin them" he whined

"whatever" i chuckled

After a hour of walking we finally got to my house, i sighed getting my keys out of my bag "so i guess i'll see you in a few days?" i smiled at him

"a few days?" he said disappointedly

"how about tomorrow then?" i said and he immidiately brightened up

"okay see you tomorrow" he said pecking me then running off to the woods again.

"mom, dad?" i yelled when i got inside, but before i knew it i was tackled into a hug by my mother and father who were now showering me with kisses

"where have you been we have been so worried, especially when i called shane!" my mom yelled tears going down her face

"u-uh i bumped into alex" i shrugged trying to act casual

"the alex?" my father said with wide eyes

"yah alex fang we're having dinner tonight to catch up" i said smiling and my mother shrieked excitedly

"i wanna see him again!" she shrieked again, see my mom has always like alex.. a lot and he really thought of her of a second mom, they got along greatly, they cooked together,

they cleaned together, they'd make fun of me together they were close.

"i'm going to go take a nap i love you both bye" i said rushing up the stairs and changed quickly and plonked on my bed and excitedly waited for sleep to take me.
