New beginnings
1957
So a visit to the Ogbyn determined I'm pregnant. I knew something was up when I was sleeping through out the day. Yes when Jack's not around I spend most of the day sleeping. But things were different now. I was always tired.
He spent most of his time doting on me. Not that I needed the extra attention but Jack insisted. We spent a lot of time together. It was like we were honeymooners all over again. We did everything together. Time seemed to go by quickly but I enjoyed spending time with Jack as he was usually busy in Washington.
On the date of June 23rd, 1957, our child decided to make an appearance.
Jack was at the store buying groceries so one kind woman named Ethel, Bobby's wife took me to the hospital. Jack showed up an hour later frantically looking for me.
Twelve hours later our son Patrick John Kennedy was born. He looked exactly like me with Jack's eyes, full head of hair and chiseled lips. Jack and I were overjoyed and I've never seen Jack so happy. The picture of him holding our son is forever etched into my head. The love and bond between all three of us is forever stuck together.
"Sarah he's so beautiful."
I smile up at Jack from the hospital bed.
"I can't believe that he's ours. He's absolutely perfect" Jack coos at his son.
And with that we were a beautiful family of three.
Ethel busts into the room to see our new baby that Jack can't stop smiling at.
