      Years passed, things were fought for Joker and Buggy trying to track down The Joker.

Arthur was now becoming close to Sarah also and started to develop feelings for her, but she was 17 now. It wouldn't be right to be with her.

The Golds and Bowser's family would visit Sarah's family more now since they were all practically family. But during those years, Arthur and Buggy spend most of their time tracking down The Joker, Buggy didn't want to. He knew Sarah just wanted them to be there with her and everyone else. It was even irritating Mr Gold that Arthur would not attend.

It was now Thanksgiving and Chief PeePee was making Ham for the Thanksgiving dinner at Sarah's house.

Mr Gold and Belle made their part of the dinner, but Arthur and Buggy were heading to the club when Mr Gold stopped them.

"And where do you boys think you're going?"

"Out," Buggy said, but not with an attitude, more as a joke "c'mon pops, we have stuff we gotta do."

"Yeah it can't wait" Arthur said.

Gold frowned and grabbed each other then by their arm and herded them back inside, "today is thanksgiving and we're going to spend it together, as a family."

"Boys, please," Belle went to them looking sad, "just let's have dinner together. Whatever you're doing it can wait."

Buggy was a mommy's boy and his heart instantly melted, ".....of course mom."

But Arthur was irritated, "Fine if you want to stay and waste time then you do that, I'll go by myself!"

Buggy glared at Arthur angrily, "how can it be wasting time when we're spending time with our family?!"

"Boys enough!" Gold growled, "You're staying for dinner. No more arguing."

"You know who would be hurt if you don't show up...Sarah," Buggy pointed out to Arthur. "She keeps asking me if you're ok and asks when she can see you again."

Arthur sighed at the door.

"Don't you care about her?" Buggy asked, "I do!"

"Yes I do care, that's why I want to get this mess sorted out."

"I get that, but what harm would one day make? Besides Sarah would be disappointed if we don't show. Especially you."

Arthur blushed slightly, "enough already, okay. We'll have dinner."

Arthur grabbed the pot of the scalp potatoes and Buggy grabbed the roasted carrots and walked with Mr Gold and Belle to the house.

Chief PP, Bowser, Jr, and Joesph were already at the house helping set the table when the doorbell rang.

"I WILL GET IT!" Jr called.

"But it's not our house!" PP called.

Bowser Jr opened the door and smiled seeing Buggy and Arthur.

"BUGGY!!!" He then hugged his leg.

Buggy chuckled, "there he is my number one fan of all time!" he balanced the pot with the carrots on one hand while he hugged Bowser back "good to see you kiddo."

Arthur smiled, "thank you all so much for inviting us for dinner. We really appreciate it."

"Of course," Catherine smiled, "come in guys."

She let the Golds in and Buggy walked awkwardly because Jr still hugged his leg.

Sarah came down and was dressed nicely and Buggy blushed seeing her.

As for Arthur he blushed too and fell for again seeing her. She looked nice in that dress.

Buggy gave a low whistle "well, hello beautiful. You didn't have to get all dressed up for me," he hugged her, "you always look pretty to me."

Arthur was slightly mad at this. Buggy was able to say things like that and not be embarrassed. Plus he couldn't tell if he was just playing around or flirting her, and he didn't like it.

"Y-yeah you look really nice, Sarah," Arthur blushed.

"Awe, thanks boys," she blushed.

Mr Gold and Belle smiled seeing this.

"Yeah she wanted to flatter, Mr Arthur," Jr smiled.

"Dude!" Joesph snapped at him, "that's secret!"

Buggy chuckled and gave Jr a high five "classic kiddo, love it!"

Jr smirked and high fived him.

Arthur blushed more and elbowed Buggy in the side.

"Boys," Belle warned.

They then went inside and took a seat at the table. Buggy then rushed to Sarah's seat and pulled her chair. Sarah blushed and sat down.

Arthur got even more irritated when Buggy took the seat next to Sarah, so Arthur was stuck between Buggy and Catherine.

"The meal smells so good, Mrs Tennyson," Buggy said, then took Sarah's hand, "almost as good as Sarah."

"Sarah isn't food though," Jr giggled.

"Yeah but she smells good enough to eat and looks pretty yummy."

Arthur then kicked Buggy's leg under the table.

"Ow!!"

"Buggy, sweetheart, can you not make jokes like that in front of the kids," Belle said.

"Who said I was joking?"

Arthur kicked him again.

Sarah then giggled at Buggy. She was actually glad Arthur came to the party.

"Alright, here's the Turkey," Bowser said while he and Caleb brought out and Chief Pee Pee had the mash potatoes.

"Alright, time to say Grace," Pee Pee said.

"I think, Mr Gold should," Caleb smiled.

"Me? Oh no. I don't think so," he blushed, "Caleb, you should say it,"

"Pee Pee should say it," Buggy smirked.

"Well, uh..." Pee Pee wasn't sure.

"Well I've done it the last three years when we started this," Caleb shrugged.

"I think P should," Sarah smiled.

"Yeah can you, Chief Pee Pee?" Joesph asked.

"Go on P, you can do it" Buggy encouraged "and I'm hungry so.....just don't take too long okay?"

"Buggy" Belle hushed him

"Just sayin, marmie"

Arthur and Gold looked to Pee Pee expectantly. Now everyone was looking at him. Jr was even making puppy eyes.

"Well do it, Chief Pee Pee!" Bowser said, "food's getting cold."

Pee Pee then sighed, "fine. I'm not good with this."

Everyone held their hands together, bowed their heads and then he started.

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful food, and the friends here to share it with that we can call each other family. And thank you for bringing all of us together and even finding missing love ones. Like Sarah returning to us. And even Arthur finally reunited with his family. Bless this good this food you helped us prepare and thank you so much also for bringing us all together. If we never met, we wouldn't have a big happy family. Amen."

Once he finished everyone applauded him for his moving speech. Then they all began to eat. Arthur kept stealing glances at Sarah when he could and of course Buggy noticed and found it funny. So his big brother had a crush on his best friend. That was amusing to him.

After dinner the adults played games when Jr and Joesph went outside to catch autumn leaves so Sarah was outside with them watching them. Arthur then walked out to speak with her alone hopefully without Buggy around. Sarah blushed once she saw Arthur and looked shyly at him.

".....uh, it's good to see you again, Sarah. I.... I do enjoy your company," he said shyly, "maybe we could....um, hang out.... more often. If you'd like to?"

"Really? I would love to," she blushed. "I mean...I love hanging out with you. You're so kind and sweet."

"You really think so?" he blushed, "that's great, I mean, I'm glad that you'd like to. Just give me a call sometime and we can arrange something."

She smiled, "awe ok. Oh here." She writes down her cell and hands it to him. "Or you can text me?" She smiled. She blushed and leaned to him and kissed his cheek. She really wanted to.

Arthur blushed as he tucked the paper with her number into his pocket, "sure, I'll definitely text you," he then shyly kissed her on the cheek too.

Suddenly they heard someone "OOOOO!" It was Buggy that appeared.

Arthur blushed seeing him.

"Ooh I'm sorry for interrupting your little moment, brother. I know you've probably been working on that for a long time."

"I-I don't know hat you're talking about—"

"Oh please. It's pretty obvious you're crushing on my bestie. Which is kinda awkward because if you let her down or hurt her I'd have to kill you," he teased.

Arthur rolled his eyes, "do you ever shut up."

".....hmmm, no. Not really. I even talk in my sleep apparently."

"Why doesn't that surprise me," Arthur then chuckled.

Sarah giggled. She noticed Jr and Joesph were giggling because they saw the whole thing.

Sarah walked up to Buggy, "it will be fine. But once I am a little older maybe we will date. I'm only 17 you know. And I know you're just being...a little overprotective."

Buggy smiled sweetly at her and held her face "I have my reasons for being overprotective. You knew what you signed up for when we became friends. I'll always look out for you, baby"

"Buggy, just because we might hang out doesn't mean I'll try anything....like that... I know Sarah is underage" Arthur pointed out "it's not like we're getting married or anything"

"MARRIED?! Actually that would be pretty cool. It means Sarah would be like my real sister after all."

"Half," Arthur corrected.

Buggy froze up hearing him say that.

"Arthur!" Sarah gasped.

Buggy swallowed hard, his eyes now turning sad ".....of course. How stupid of me to forget," his voice was low and calm but he was hurt. He then turned and left.

Arthur sighed, "he's just being over sensitive. Typical Buggy."

Sarah then ran after him, "Bug? Buggy?" Sarah then stopped him once she stood infront of him. She held his face, "Buggy, it's ok. He didn't mean it in a mean way."

"......he might not have meant it but it still hurts, Sarah. I clown around to hide the fact that I get sad. I'll always be an outcast, a freak. I was born and not even wanted. I wasn't planned. That's why I need to leave here. I'll never fit in. At least at sea, and in the circus, I feel like I belong there."

Sarah then teared up and dropped her hands down, "and just leave? But...you promised. You promised you would never leave me. You also promised me you would protect me."

She broke down and threw her arms around him. "I will never stop wanting you. You're my big brother, and I don't ever want you leave."

He hugged her tightly "hey, don't cry, baby. You're the only reason I'm still around. You'll always be my best friend."

"You promise? Cross your heart?" She asked.

He smiled and made the cross symbol over his heart "cross my heart and swear to die. Don't you remember the pinky promise we made as kids? Friends forever."

She nodded and she hook her pinkie onto his and opened her hand with his and they made their hands flutter which made her giggle.

"You better get back to the party. Your folks will be missing you. As well as my big brother," he smiled slightly and gently booped her nose with his finger.

Sarah then blushed more at him. She held his face and gave him a gentle kiss on his nose. She went to the door. Jr and Joesph came to Buggy and Jr looked up at him.

"You won't leave, right?" Jr asked.

Buggy pat him gently on the head "No kiddo, I can't. I made a promise so I'll be sticking around for a while longer. I'll see you real soon okay?"

"Ok," Jr said, softly and he and Joesph went inside.
