Sarafina's POV

I had read the book I got when I went to Diagon Alley and have began training to be an Animagus. But I still needed a mandrake leaf for the process, so far no luck finding any.  According to the book I need to hold a mandrake leaf under my tongue for a month. It'll be hard to do that without people noticing, but I was welling to do it. I have already been working on the patronus charm.

It was time go to Herebology in greenhouse three with my fellow Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. When we got there we saw the Slytherin and Ravenclaw second years there also. "Slytherin and Ravenclaw will be joining us today as we have big task ahead you all need to do to pass the year" Professor Sprout said before leading us inside.

When we enter the green house the table was full of pots both wit and without plants. There are sacks of soil along the walls and a par of earmuffs next to each pot. I stood with Harry, Ron and Hermione across from Draco & his goons. I hadn't spoken to him since he called Hermione that word.

"Today we are going to re-pot mandrakes" Sprout told us proudly. "Now who can tell me the properties of the mandrake root?" she asked. Of course Hermione's hand shot up and Professor Sprout "yes Miss Granger."

"Mandrake or mandragora root can be used to return anyone petrified to their original state" she explained. "But it also quite dangerous a mandrake's cry is fatal to anyone who hears it" Hermione added.

"Excellent ten points to Gryffindor" Professor Sprout said. "But as there are only samplings their crys won't kill you yet. But can knock you out for a few hours so put the earmuffs on" she instructed. We all did so before watching grab the first mandrake by it's stem.

When she pulled out the mandrake started to scream before she put it in other pot covering it with soil. "Now their are enough for everyone to do one each" she informed us. But Neville fainted "Longbottom has been neglecting his earmuffs" she said.

"No Mame his just fainted" Seamus told her as he looked down at Neville.

"Just leave him there for now" she instructed. So we just re-potted our mandrakes leaving him on the floor. But I pocketed a few of the leaves from my mandrake without anyone noticing. Or so I thought.

(that night)

I had the leaves beside me on the bed whilst I read my book from Diagon Alley. "Why did you take those leaves?" I heard Hermione ask. I quickly put the leaves in the book and hid it under my pillow. Before turning to look at her and gave her an innocent smile.

"What are you talking about Hermione?" I asked as Yuki jumped onto my bed.

"Don't act innocent, I saw you take the leaves" she partly scolded walking over to me. "I also saw you hide them in a book before hiding it under your pillow just now" she stated. I sighed in defeat taking the book out and showed her the cover. "Animagus, why are you looking them up? We won't study them until next year" she stated/asked.

"I have been training to be one and I need the leaves to turn into one" I explained putting the book down.

"That's dangerous" she told me sitting in front of me on my bed. "If goes wrong... Are you sure about becoming an Animagus?" she asks.

"I am dead serious Hermione and would love some help" I said offering my book to her. She sighed taking and gave me the leaves.

"I'll read this and help you as best I can, I don't want you to get hurt" she told me. Before opening the book and started to read it from the beginning. "Have you tried the patronus charm yet?" she asks.

"Yes I have been practicing, but it is difficult without a teacher" I told her.  We spent the rest of the night studying the book. Her asking me questions on how my pre-training is going. Before falling asleep on our separate beds.
