Ms.V walked down the street as fast as she could, the bell of her dress swaying slightly in the wind.

'I overreacted, they did nothing wrong.'

'You did fine Belle. I'm proud of you.'

Belle stopped.

'He's back. Why won't he go away? Get out...GET OUT MY HEAD!'

Tears began to run down her pale face. Thank god no one was on that side of the street.

'Why do you want me gone? I'm good for you, I help you. You know that. Remember? '

She didn't wanna remember. She tried not to, but she did, no matter how hard she tried she could never forget the day they disappeared. She could see flashes of forest green and hazel in her mind. She could remember them all, the way she hated those forest greens but adored the hazel. Stormy blue filled her vision, to the point that's all she saw. Storm-blue, greens, and hints of brown. Her vision filled with the colors. All so familiar, but so lost. One color seemed out of place. The color of daisies. Like a warm ray of sunlight. But, it felt wrong, it didn't belong. Yet, Belle accepted it with open arms.

'See Belle, you want me. You need me. You let me in and I'm not leaving....any.....time....soon'

The colors slowly dissipated from her eyes. The outside world finally coming back into focus. But she wasn't on the street. She was...at home? No...not home. This place was no longer home. She had wished never to return. Yet here she was. In the room she once slept, lived, hid from the world. The black walls covered in dark red print. She had begged her mother for weeks for the room to be repainted, but she never had the chance. Belle could see scratches on the hardwood floor. If she could properly recall, they were from the old desk chair that sat in the corner. Lacking the homey glow, it looked sad, abandon, like no one's ever lived here.

Then she heard it. The sound. Belle's face became white as a sheet. She never wanted to hear that sound again. It had already brought her so much pain, so much heartache, she hated that sound. She tried to open the chestnut door, with no luck. The window was next on her list. As she rushed over she realized, the windows were boarded up. They had been that way for a few years now.

'How am I here? Why can't I just leave? I just wanna leave.'

Belle crouched on the floor, her dress billowed around her, hoping the sound would go away. Even if it didn't leave. She wished it would just...end everything. She wished it would stop haunting her and just sweep her away. Why won't it go away, why won't they leave?
