Present day

"Ms. V this is all fine and dandy, but how is it relevant to your case?"

Alex and Sara had been sitting in the same place for the past hour, listening to Ms. V's story. At this point, Sara was getting bored, wondering where the mystery was.

"Maybe we'll find out if you hush up",

as annoyed as Sara was with all this backstory, Alex was fed up with Sara's endless complaining. Every 5mins it was just,

'Where's the mystery? Did he go missing? Did your mother kill him? Your mother's eyes sound pretty. Your brother sounds like a jerk.'

It seemed like she just didn't know when to shut up.

"Why do I have to be quiet? I'm asking legit questions."

"Well, your 'legit' questions are getting on my nerves!"

The twins were bickering so hard, they failed to notice the aggravation building up in their client. Ms.V tried to be polite, she tried to play the shy woman, but it just wasn't working out. She stood up so fast the chair, she was in previously, clattered to the floor. Spooking the twins in the process.

Alex spoke first.

"Ms.V, are you alright?"

"No, I'm not alright!", she eyes turning a navy blue,"I came here believing you could help me."

The way she had said 'help' send shivers down Sara's spine. It felt as though a strong wind had suddenly swept into the building. The air around them becoming frigid and still, like a mid-winter night.

"I've seen plenty of detectives in my life, some with partners some without. But this is the first set who would rather bicker, then focus on the task at hand! You seemed like bright girls and I would like you to help me. Perhaps when you are ready, I will share the rest of my case."

Ms.V handed Alex a sky blue business card, with violet edges.

"Call when you are ready"

As she spoke her eyes returned to their lightning blue color. The winter air seemed to have bled out the building along with those navy blue eyes. Ms.V stood ramrod straight and quickly walked out into the hot June afternoon.
