Ambitions bright like ribbons.
But not as pointless.
Not all are possible, that is a given.
The uprightly soul will ne'er know rest.

I want to grow I want to learn.
Always tenacious and forward thinking.
Patiently worked and waited for a turn.
The more success, the more the weight, now deeper sinking.

Ambitions won, but was it worth the price?
Dare I regret the journey long but glorious?
Now that I'm here my soul is e'er enticed.
Ambitions won now every day is tedious.

These regrets are lies, though there is a hint of truth.
Long for childhood days, though the ship has long since sailed.
I know I ne'er again will have those days of youth.
Despite all this it's good to know, ambitions bright I had, and I prevailed.
