i made a painting about you yesterday
actually all my paintings are about you
but this one was different

i splashed all colours
i spray painted above it
with my most vibrant red
but i was still mad
so i scraped it
so hard i thought i was going to rip the
canva

i was so furious
at you
at myself
at what you've done to me

i scraped "i hate you" on the paint
but it still wasn't enough
so i poured a bright yellow to form the words

this morning i watched it
and it still wasn't enough
so i put white on top of the letters
and i shook the canva to make it messy

and as i watch it right now
i realize why its never enough

i guess its because no amount of paint
and no colour
could express my hate
and no amount of times i write somewhere
that i hate you because i'm furious
could change the fact that i'm furious because I don't hate you
