My Miss Uber - One
"Leave!" the voice full of hatred yet cold. A middle-length blonde hair woman glared at a pair of couples who were full of guilt and horror washed over their faces. The blonde's light blue eyes were full of rage and daggered at them.
The man quickly pulled away from his private from a younger girl who was intimating with him. He quickly took his boxer to put on and so call decent, and the younger girl was busy fumbling around to get her clothes to cover herself as soon as possible.
"Look baby, I'm sorry. I-I" the man stammered with running his hand through his short blonde hair as the Blonde lady glared at him and stopped him with the voice of steady, yet threatened "Save it! Just get dress and get out of here! Don't ever come back again." she exhaled out with her nose and added, "I mean it this time."
"Baby please." the man pleaded the blonde with his teary eyes as she scoffed with clicked her tongue "Stop making that face, Ken. It won't work anymore." she ended by indicating her front door "Just disappeared right in front of my face in 10 seconds."
The younger girl was already fully clothed by knowing that she might lose her job. She didn't bother about that matter because she was full of shame for what she had done. She scurried and left the house without any delay.
The blonde turned her attention back to the man who was still in his boxer, she arched one of her eyebrows and started "10, 9.." the man quickly pulled on his slacks and searching his shirt. The blonde grabbed his arm and shoved him out of her front door with only his slack and topless.
He pounded the door "Please, at least give me back my clothes." with that, he was welcomed by the blonde's delicate hand shoved the shirt on his face, and slammed the door right on his face.
While the blonde peeked at the door hole, she sighed and pulled away. Finally the pair of affair partners already cleared in her sight. She leaned against the door, slowly sliding down, and sat on the floor. She shut her eyes with blew out the air from her lips in depression.
Before she was ready to calm down, she felt her phone vibrate in her jeans pocket. She thought the idea of looking at her phone was a great time for her to distract herself. She smiled when she read a message.
Unknown : I'm here for you.
She couldn't help, a light laugh escape from her lips as she was wondering who was this person. Who would be that sweet to text her when she was really down and need someone to talk to. She smiled and replied to the message politely.
Thank you. I'm going through a tough time so it means a lot. And sorry, I lost all my contacts who is this?
Unknown: This is your Uber driver. I'm here to pick you up.
"Fuck!" the blonde cursed out and she had nearly forgotten she was going to have a flight for her outstation. For her luck, she already packed her luggage since yesterday. She made a short reply and ask for the Uber driver to wait a couple of minutes, and she rushed to her room to pulled her luggage. She scanned around her room to ensure her items were all with her before she left.
Blonde didn't spend more than 5 minutes, she was already at the level of her condominium's lobby for searching her Uber.
She surveyed around and only saw an early 20 long dark hair girl leaned against a white Hyundai Tucson who was busy playing with her phone. She took her phone to check the description of the car which is white Hyundai Tucson and the car plate number, but she couldn't see the car plate yet.
Without any hesitation, she decided to approach the dark hair girl. The dark hair girl sense someone was getting close to her as she tilted up her head. She couldn't help when she saw a pretty blonde right in front of her face.
The dark hair girl's mouth slightly opened ajar to admire the gorgeous lady. Too soon she quickly flashed a polite smile to the blonde "Hi, are you Miss Clarissa?"
Clarissa smiled in relief and replied politely "Yes I am." the dark-haired girl quickly opened the car door for letting the blonde climbed in as she added, "I'll take care of the luggage." Clarissa seems worried that was too much to let the skinny girl carried her huge luggage.
"That's fine, I'll handle it." when Clarissa finished, the dark hair girl already pulled away from her luggage and flashed a determined smile "Don't worry. I can handle it, trust me."
The blonde only gave a light shrug and let the dark-haired girl do her job, as she decided to take the shotgun seat. The dark-haired girl took the driver's seat after she placed the luggage in her trunk, then place her mobile on the phone stand, set the GPS, and fastened her seatbelt.
"Oh, you actually could sit at the back seat. You're my gorgeous passenger after all." the dark hair girl said with a smile and ready to pull out her car from the lobby and head to the destination.
Clarissa smiled in amusement with the dark-haired girl's sweet talk. She took a glance at the dark-haired girl and back to the windshield. With investing her short time to scan the dark hair girl, she already mesmerized her outlook.
The dark hair dress in simple black oversize t-shirt, folded sleeve reveal her great curved of upper arms, dark gray skinny jeans, black sneaker. Her skin was fair and flawless, long eyes, dark orbs, trimmed dark eyebrows, straight nose, an oval face, and smiley full lips.
"Having a bad day huh?" Clarissa was snapped by a low and raspy voice, yet soothing. Her voice was out of Clarissa's expectation. She was thinking the dark hair girl's voice might be slightly girly tone because of her cute features. However, this was a great surprise. This voice made the dark hair girl cooler and sexier.
"What's on my mind? I've just broken up with my ex-boyfriend who had cheated on me with my numerous secretaries. But, I still could spend my time checking this teen girl out?" Clarissa thought.
"Yea, it's sucks. By the way, what's your name?" Clarissa finally could voice up after her long inner thought. The dark hair girl said in a monotone "I'm Brooke. B-r-o-o-k-e. Don't call me broke. I believe I'll be broke soon."
Clarissa couldn't help but she burst out laughing. Brooke joined her to laugh as she added "I'm sorry for my bad jokes, gorgeous."
Clarissa shook her head and said "Well it's a good laugh. That's really helpful. I think I should take Uber instead of a cab in the future. At least I could have a nice chat with a friendly driver. I last time didn't really believe my friends' comment about the Uber driver. Most of them told me that the drivers are friendly and sweet compared to the cab driver. Some of them unlucky met a pervert driver."
Brooke chuckled lightly "Too bad for them, I believe not all the cab drivers are sucks. Some of them are nice too. Maybe some of them are elderly would be different. They enjoy talk too much and become long-ass-boring-story." Clarissa nodded her head in agreeing "I agree because I had met one. Well, the trip more than an hour and I nearly fall asleep."
"I feel bad for the man. Poor thing. So, how long are you going to spend on your trip?" Brooke asked as Clarissa said "A week."
Brooke's face turned to Clarissa and back to the windshield with an unreadable expression. She said with a poker face "It's more like a month for me. To be honest, your luggage is damn heavy." Brooke chuckled with shook her head as Clarissa cleared her throat and pretended that she gets offended "Is this how you treat your guest?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. Forgive my unprofessional, Miss Gorgeous." Brooke apologized playfully as Clarissa rolled her eyes even though Brooke can't see because she was facing the windshield.
"Um, do you mind if you tell me about your bad day? Look, as a friendly and lovely driver, I want my passengers have a great ride with me. Anyway, you can let it pass if you're uncomfortable to share with me." Brooke said as she turned to face Clarissa with a warm smile before backing to the windshield.
"I think I'm such a fool to believe my ex-boyfriend will tie-the-knot with me after he has enough fun with numerous women. Today I was expecting we could have a great time before my trip. Too bad, he already has fun with another woman instead of me."
A lump was climbing up through Clarissa's throat. She swallowed down and said in depress tone "Why he can't resist that? I won't take it long. I'm leaving today and he could have fun with the other woman when I'm away. I just need a couple of hours with him instead of a day. Why can't he do that for me?"
Clarissa really loves this man. She knew there had no point to keep this man who was getting worse to her. She knew she was fool enough to believe her ex's words. She laughed humorless with wipe off her tears "He told me that I'm the only one he loves. The rest of the women are for fun. Why man has to be greed in women. Is one woman not enough for him?"
Clarissa felt like half of her angst and depression were free after letting out to a friendly stranger. She couldn't believe that would feel so good to share out. Most of her friends were giving up to advice her. They love her and advise her not to be a fool. Clarissa forgot to inform her friends that she finally gave up this man. Her friends would be proud of her.
"Clarissa, a fool is your ex, not you. He is too dumb to hurt you again and again. Also, he is stupid enough to let go a gem." Brooke extended her hand for Clarissa and said "I'm glad a wonderful woman like you decided to leave this asshole alone."
Clarissa couldn't tell how much she appreciated that Brooke sincerely is her listener without any judging. For a thank you gesture, Clarissa grasped Brooke's hand, and surprisingly the hand was warm.
Brooke remains held her hand and said "Trust me, there have numerous people lining up to get you. I think I need to hurry to get a line." she shot a wink at Clarissa and back to focus the windshield.
"Thank you to be the first person who is lining up for me." Clarissa teased as Brooke free her hand and back to sterling. She said with a smile "Are you sure about that? I bet after you announced that you're single, your admires will crawl toward you in no time."
"Don't be ridiculous, Brooke." Clarissa laughed with shook her head in disbelief. "You've overrated me. I'm just an ordinary woman."
"Gosh, it's been quite some times I didn't really laugh heartily." Clarissa thought. The next few words rolled from Brooke's tongue caught her totally off guard.
"For me, you're an extraordinary woman." Brooke said in genuine with the corner of her lips curled upward.
"Fine, I'll add tips for your great service." Clarissa said in amusement.
"You're so lovely. Thanks, gorgeous." Brooke said with remained a smile.
"Are you still in college? It's late night. Don't your parent worry about you taking a late shift?" Clarissa asked in concern to the younger girl.
"I'm far away from college life, my dear. I just lost my job. I suppose will have a few interviews which are coming next week. But, I'm too boring. Today actually is my second day jobless. So, I decided to take this as my part-time to kill the time." Brooke said as Clarissa hummed and let her continue her story.
"Well, my parents at first disagree I take this part-time because they worry I would meet horrible guests. I think I could ask them not to worry about me anymore. I'll tell them how lucky I'm tonight. I met my first guest who is a gorgeous and wonderful lady." Brooke finished and grinned at Clarissa with wiggled her eyebrows.
"Stop messing around, Brooke." Clarissa laughed as she whacked Brooke's upper arm cause she yelped and said with pursed her lips "Ow! I should change my testimonial of my first guest."
"How old are you?" Clarissa asked as Brooke narrowed her eyes with made a straight face "That's rude to ask women about their ages, you know."
"Fine, I'll tell you my age. I'm 27." Clarissa said and waited for Brooke in expectedly.
"I'm older than you 3 years," Brooke said truthfully as surprise washed over Clarissa's face. Her mouth opened ajar a few beats and asked to ensure "Are you serious?"
Brooke nodded her head and said "Yes I'm. Most of the people thought I'm in my early 20." she used her hands to caress her chin and said smugly "They said I'm slow in aging." Clarissa snorted "Yea, slow in aging I see. Mind if you tell me about yourself? Maybe a little."
"First of all, I'm gay." Brooke said as Clarissa seems like nothing special for her. She nodded her head "I know. Hmm, I could listen to your love story with your girlfriend. Go on."
"We already broke up two years ago." Brooke said as Clarissa quickly said "I'm sorry. You can stop if you don't want to share about this."
Brooke shook her head to wave it off. "Nah it's cool. We broke up in peace. We knew that we're not having the same direction. Even though that was painful to end this. Deep down we knew we couldn't continue our journey."
"Her name is Alice. She is an ambitious woman, and we're the same ages. We get to know each other since we were in college. Besides, we were taking the same course. We had been through our study journey together."
"There's a challenge for us. Her parents are against our relationship. For convinced her parents, she wanted us to be successful people with a high reputation and great income. So, she decided to work in a big firm. Then, she became a workaholic. I don't really mind about that."
"But she was expecting I will do the same as her. So, I start working hard, get incrementally, and get promoted to a higher position. However, she still thinks that I'm not aggressive. She was expecting me to do more than that. We had numerous disagreements and fight. We had been fought close to the edge of breakup. Still, we keep this relationship close to 10 years."
"We broke up when I was ready to propose to her. That night she suggested that I should start a business, but I disagree. I told her that I was grateful to have a decent job, house, and car. She said I need to be a businesswoman, get a mansion and a luxurious car. So, her parents will not look down on me. By knowing that, she never gives up on her reputation and I was getting exhausted from this lifestyle. I decided to end this relationship."
"She cried in my arms and told me how sorry she was, but she said she insisted to live this lifestyle. So, we decided to end this relationship." Brooke sighed lightly "Well, sorry of my boring story."
"A couple in a different direction is the most painful love story. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't say Alice is a bad girl, she is ambitious and close to a perfectionist. For me, that's not my kind of lifestyle too. My relationship sucked. I will only look for a peaceful and lovely life. Also, I can tell you're a wonderful woman, Brooke. You'll get someone who is having the same direction as you." Clarissa said as she patted Brooke's shoulder gently.
Brooke linked her hand to Clarissa's hand and said softly "Thank you for that, gorgeous."
"Um, do I still can get a line?" Brooke joked to lightened up the mood as Clarissa teased "Still looking forward huh?" Brooke hummed "Yup, of course. Oh, here we are."
Brooke pulled over her car to the drop-off spot. She pulled the hand brake and unbuckled her seatbelt. She turned off her car, walked to the trunk side, and took out the luggage. Clarissa opened the trunk lit and let Brook do her job by knowing that Brooke's body language already taking her part.
Clarissa couldn't help to stay her gaze at Brooke, she was watching Brooke's tone muscle arms flexed up when she was trying to carry the huge silver luggage out from her trunk. Clarissa swallowed down her mouthful fluid with blinked her eyes to brush off the thought of Brooke's arms.
"Safety flight, Clarissa. It's nice to talk to you. You made our trip lively and entertaining." Brooke said with a wide smile as she patted Clarissa's luggage which was already placed next to her.
Their heartbeat was hammering on each other's rib cages when Clarissa pulled Brooke into a tight hug. Brooke eventually rest her arms around Clarissa's torso and returned in the same manner. Brooke inhales and smelled the shampoo and perfume of Clarissa's which is intoxicating for her.
Brooke could felt her heartbeat was still fluttering, she breathed out a slight gasp when she felt Clarissa's warm lips pressed on her cheek before Clarissa pulled away from her. "Thank you for your ride, your jokes, your stories, and your ears for me, Brooke. I'm really glad to have you be my driver to pick me up here."
"It's my pleasure. You know what, I think I'll not gonna wash my face till I claim this from you again. I hope we'll meet again if there has any chance." Brooke caressed her kissed spot and flashed a generous grin to Clarissa.
Clarissa rolled her eyes with a smile "We'll see. Goodbye." she waved at Brooke and headed to the airport hall.
"Bon Voyage!" Brooke said out loud enough for Clarissa to hear as she turned back and saluted to Brooke before she continued to walk into the hall, and left Brooke behind.
Clarissa's smile still lingers on her face, she had never felt so good to crap jokes and shared a story to a newbie who just stepped into her life after she went through her tough time. Also, she mostly forgot a horrible event she had witnessed before she walked in Brooke's car.
Warmth was sent to Clarissa's heart when she smelled Brooke's perfume still linger around her body.
