Chapter Twenty-Five
~Burdon~
When I first came to, I noticed the pain in my side and I groaned. I opened my eyes and I was looking, directly, into a face of a wirewolf-similar to werewolf, but different than a werewolf at the same time; they are a lot more ashy and flexible like wire, hence their name. My hands and feet were bound.
"Hello, Crown Prince. Remember me?" mocked the Wirewolf, smirking. At my confused look the Wirewolf laughed-it was a disturbing laugh, like really disturbing laugh, I think that a hyena has a better laugh. "You probably wouldn't since we first met at a young age."
"Where is-"
"Where the girl that was with you? And your dragon? I know where they are, but I'm not going to tell you."
"Oh, come on! Just tell me already." The Wirewolf just shook his head, laughing, as he walked away.
I tried to get out of my bonds, but every time I tried to twist out of my bonds-somehow-silver came out of the chains and burned me until I was forced to stop. First, the pain in my side, now chains that have silver popping out of them-and burning me every time I try to twist out of them. Not really a good week so far.
It has been hours since the Wirewolf came to see me. I wished-really wished-that I didn't get into these kind of situations. But I end up getting into these situation, without even trying-I do not know why. In fact I tried to avoid them.
I was in some sort of a cave that looks like a cell, which most likely-and is-a cell. I did not know how to get out of this cell. How did I get here? How did I end up with a Wirewolf? I remember being hit and crash landing... but... was that the Wirewolf?
The Wirewolf hasn't been back to see for hours and it was getting pretty boring-getting? It was already was boring. It was even more boring than the time where my hand was almost chopped off, and I had to do nothing expect sleep, eat, drink, and listen to Rain reading a book to me. At least I wasn't doing something this tedious. So bored right now. I couldn't do anything because my wrists were chained to the bed pole-I am laying on a bed-and I couldn't sit up or anything.
After a while-several hours, possibly a half a day or so-the Wirewolf came back. The Wirewolf sat down right next to me. "How are you doing?" asked the Wirewolf.
"Where is my friend and my dragon?!"
"They're no longer your concern."
"I believe they still are," I resorted.
The Wirewolf just shrugged, leaving the room, and returning with some bandages and medicine. The Wirewolf put some alcohol on my ribs-to keep it from infection, obviously. Afterwards the Wirewolf put some bandages around my waist.
"Thanks," I mumbled, not sure what to think about this. "What's your name?"
"My name is Veent," answered Veent.
"Tell me where my friends are now, Veent," I ordered.
"No." I growled. Veent just shrugged when I growled. He was making something but I couldn't tell what. Veent then left again. I stared at the ceiling of the cave for hours before Veent came back. He brought a bowl with him with something inside of it. He unwrapped my bandages, and dapped some black stuff on my wounds.
"What's that?"
"It is something that will help you heal quickly."
"What is it called?" The Wirewolf just shrugged, and mumbled a 'I don't know.' Veent wrapped the bandages back up around my waist. Veent was about to leave again when I yelled, "Hey! If you're going to leave, can you at least give me some food and water?"
Veent shrugged. "I'll have someone feed you and give you water later," responded Veent, and he walked out of the cell.
I fell asleep soon afterwards. When I woke up the Wirewolf was back with someone else-presumably another Wirewolf. When Veent realized that I was awake, Veent said, "Oh, you're awake," he motioned to the person behind him, "I have your friend to take care of your ribs. She'll also feed you, and help you drink." I couldn't see who was behind Veent. Veent left, again, to wherever he goes.
The girl was still in the shadows where I couldn't exactly see her. She stayed where she was.
"Hi, who are you?" I inquired. The girl stepped out of the shadows, it was She. "She?!" I blurted out.
"I don't go by that name anymore; I go by Næm," informed She, apparently now Næm, walking towards me.
"Stay away from me!" I yelled. She-now newly named Næm-kept on walking towards me. Næm came up and stood right next to me and started untying my bandages. I tried to kick her, but my feet were also chained to the bed. Næm got some of that black stuff on my ribs and then retied my bandages around my waist. She silently walked out of the room.
I was thinking 'hallelujah' until Næm came back in.
Næm came in with a bowl of food and a cup of water. She sat down next to me.
"Here I brought you some food and water," she said.
"Is it poisoned?" I retorted.
Næm looked like she had been stung. "No, it is not poisoned. Honestly, how can you think like that?"
I stared at her as if to say 'Are you serious? Do you not remember what happened?'
Ignoring my look she said, "Open your mouth so I can feed you."
Despite my hunger, I did not open my mouth at all.
"You need to eat, open your mouth," ordered Næm.
I still didn't open my mouth.
"Please open your mouth," begged Næm.
I didn't opened my mouth, so Næm grabbed my jaw, and tried to open my mouth. Luckily, I had a iron hard jaw. Næm couldn't get my jaw to open, which I was very glad for.
Veent came in with another girl. "Næm, since you can't feed him, I got another one to feed him, and give him water," explained Veent, motioning to the girl behind him. Veent left.
The girl who stepped out of the shadows was Ava. "Get away from him!" commanded Ava, running towards us. She knocked Næm away, and was about to feed me when Næm slammed into her. They started having a major cat fight, presumably over me. They started pulling each other's hair, and clawing at each other.
"Uh, girls let's not fight," I yelled, but they didn't take notice of me. In fact, they started bickering, but I couldn't really make out up they were saying. They were all tangled up, but they kept trying to get in a few blows. They kept on bickering and fighting.
"Girls, let's not fight!" ordered Veent.
I hadn't realized Veent came in, probably because I was also trying to stop the fight myself, but I couldn't really because I was-obviously- chained up.
"Now since you two can't work together without fighting I'm going have to choose only one of you. The I chose the girl who came with the dragonrider, the other one may leave now, and never come back."
Surprisingly, Næm left as soon as he said that, she had to because Veent will force her out anyways.
"Take care of him," commanded Veent to Ava, and he left.
This time when someone try to feed me, I opened my mouth. And I ate all of the soup, licked it clean actually. Then she gave me some water to drink when I was finished eating.
"Who was that?" asked Ava.
"Someone who isn't a friend of mine."
"But she was your friend, right?"
"Key word was. She was my friend, but not anymore."
She slapped me-hard-on the cheek. And since my hands were bound, I had to use my shoulder to put it against my cheek-which hurt my side, so I stopped doing that.
"How can you say that?!" demanded Ava.
"Ava, that happens all the time. Sometimes you're friends with someone, then they change, and you're no longer friends."
"Is that what going to happen to me?"
"Ava, I didn't court her, she was really just a friend. Now she's not."
"She was just a friend?"
"Yes! Now she's no longer my friend." Ava opened her mouth again to speak, but before she could I asked her to get me a icepack. She asked what's that and I said to just give me ice or snow with a towel over the ice or snow. She stood up and got it for me. She hold the ice-obviously covered by a towel-and hold it next to my cheek. She took it off once my cheek got numb.
"Sorry I slapped your cheek," apologized Ava. I mumbled a 'it's okay' before I fell asleep.

This was how the routine work: I slept, Ava came in, she would changed my bandages, fed me, gave me water, and we talked some. Veent came in occasionally to check on me. Not very exciting. It wasn't until my ribs healed that it started a little exciting. My feet were unchained and I was given enough chain walk around-I was given two feet wide and two feet long. Apparently, Veent still didn't want me to leave or escape. Can't imagine why though. It's not like I'm his prisoner or anything. But I have noticed that Veent must be keeping me for something, presumably, for information or a random.
After a few days of the normal routine Veent came in and unchained me from the wall, but I was still chained up around my wrists. Veent led me out of the cell and through some sort of passage. He led me to a door and he, obviously, pushed the door opened and we walked through the walkway.
The first thing I noticed was how many species there were. Honestly, there were a lot of species. Veent made me kneel right next to Ava. Veent started speaking in the language which everybody in the room-not including Ava, thankfully-knew, and spoke fluently.
"Species of all different kinds, I have called you here together today because I have two very important prisoners. One of the prisoners I have is the princess of the elves." He stopped when the crowd started cheering-it was more of a generous applause. "I also have the Crown Prince of the werewolves of Anjustlia." Veent didn't get to finished before the crowd started to go wild. "Who wants to get a piece out do the Elf Princess?" The crowd calmed down until they were completely silence. "No one wants to?" When no one raised their hands to get a piece of Ava, Veent shrugged. "How about the Crown Prince of the werewolves of Anjustlia?" Even before he finished hands went up until everyone in the crowd hands were up. "Everyone? Now if everyone wants to do it we're going to have to take turns."
Everyone to get a piece out of me. How lovely.
The first one in line was a Ralike-similar to a Razlk. The Ralike walked towards me, knife in hand. I tried to back away, but someone-or something-held me in place. The Ralike knifed me in the leg.
A werecat was next, and the werecat clawed me in the back.
A creature called a werecheetah clawed me in the arm.
All sort of Faeries came next-Spring faerie, summer faeries, fall faeries, winter faeries-they knifed me, clawed me, and bunch of other stuff.
Faeries dragons were next, and they clawed me in the back.
Next were Werepires-they clawed, punched, and a bunch of other stuff.
Larlks, Freaks, Freakers, Screechiers, and a bunch of other species clawed, knifed, punched, et cetera.
I was trying so hard to keep my wolf in check, but with each blow it became harder and harder. I blacked out after a few species.

Question(s) of the chapter:
Do you think that they will get out of this alive?! Will they? Or will he die and the rest of the story be about Ava and the others and how they deals with his death and whatnot? Or will he survive? Go bippy-boppy-boo(Cinderella reference) and use that magical wand that you call a finger and type out a comment for me to reply with. I will let you guys(both male and female) guess.
