Chapter Twelve
~Malhaw~
"Aeri?!" yelled, Ava, me and, surprisingly, Burdenn-shocked. Ava knelt down next to Burdon, already checking him. Burdenn and I ran over to Burdon had fallen. I was like freaking out from Ava's point of view.
"We got to take him somewhere," said Burdenn, stating the obvious.
"Really?!" I said, sarcastically.
"Malo, this is not the time to be sarcastic," yelled Ava.
"I know that!" I snapped, while picking up Burdon.
"Where are you going?" demanded Ava.
"To a place that I never thought I go back to, but it's our only option. And by the way, Ava, don't follow us. Burdenn come with me." I started walking back with Burdenn trailing behind me.
When we were almost there Burdenn asked, "Wait. Are you sure we should go in there?" "Wow, I'm surprised you asked that question because you lived there all your life," I said, still running, while Burdenn just looked down at his feet. The guilty look. "What happened, Burdenn?"
"They... T-they took him."
That's very helpful, I thought, bitterly. There are only how many 'hims' in this world? "They took who?"
"T-th-hey took F-father," said Burdenn, obviously distraught by what happened-whatever had happened.
"They took Father?!" I growled.
"I tried to stop them," said Burdenn, on the verge of crying.
"I know. I'm just growling at the Razlks who took our Father."
"Our Father?" asked Burdenn, crying and smiling at the same time, despite the situation at hand. And how on earth can he do that?
"Yes, Burdenn. Our Father."
"Does that mean I been accepted into the family?"
"Sure..." I said slowly, and hesitantly. Before I even finished Burdenn was smiling like a nitwit. "Don't smile like that, you look like a nitwit." Burdenn tilted his head to the side, confused. "A nitwit is a silly or foolish person and it's often as a general term of abuse-not that I'm using it to abuse you." And Burdenn did the 'oh' face.
We sneaked around to the healer's room. We walked to the healer, who had her back to us. Burdenn walked forward and tapped her on her shoulder. She whirled around, and smiled when she saw Burdenn. "Hi, Burdenn."
"Hi, Miata."
"Need help with something?"
"Yes. I have a patient for you that needs help and healing right away."
I noticed that Miata looked behind Burdenn-which shouldn't be to hard since he's like six years old-looking at Burdon. "The werewolf?" asked Miata, as if confused as why Burdenn would ask such a thing.
"Yes." I saw Miata gave Burdenn the 'you're crazy' look. "No, I didn't bump my head. He's surprisingly my half-brother. Also, I don't think my werewolf father would want me to stand here and let him bleed to death."
Miata looked surprised. "Okay, I'll take him," said Miata with her arms outstretched towards me. Hesitating, a lot, I handed Burdon over to Miata. "You can stay here if you don't trust me enough."
"I planned on staying here." I turned to Burdenn and asked, "Can you get mine and Aeri's bags and bring them here, please?"
"Sure," said Burdenn, leaving the room. After a few minutes Burdenn came back with Burdon's and my bags. We, then, sat there waiting for Burdon to be healed and wake up.

~Burdon~
"He's strong," foretold the woman to my Father, with her hands on the side of my face-her eyes close. "He'll be a powerful alpha one day; more than you will ever be."
"Impossible. How can it be?" my Father demanded.
"Through hardships and trials." Her cold, bony fingers now trailing over my face-only slightly stopping when she felt the scars on my forehead, neck, and cheeks. "In fact," she said; still gilding up and down my forehead, eyes, cheeks, jaw, et cetera, et cetera. "It has already begun."

"Stop!" I begged, tears streaming down my face. "Please stop!"
"Make me!" he yelled as he raised the whip again threatening. I shook my head as I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. "You weakling." And the knout fell across my back spreading pain everywhere; pain that every nerve could feel. "How could she ever think that you, someone who won't even defend yourself, defeat me?!"
Another lash.
And another. With every word he spoke.
My arms were sliced by it sometimes, accidentally being flogged from my Father's anger. With my my hands chained above my head, pulling at my shoulders, it made it twice as worse-the pain doubled.
"She must've been confused. Must've confused you with someone else. Kurt-yarasa would've made more sense. But you," I heard him scoff, "I wouldn't have even consider you. I think she mistaken you with Kurt-yarasa, or someone else much stronger or powerful, because I just can't be overpower by an omega. No Alpha has been beaten by a omega before and I don't want to start now. I refuse to be be defeated by a lonely omega."
I'm the Alpha's son, but I'm an omega? How does that work out?
"I would rather be overthrown by my own Beta, than be defeated by a weak, pathetic omega!"
The whip sailed through the air, smiting me across my back. Causing agony. Agony that could be felt everywhere, by anything-even in the farthest corners of my mind.
"Why are you doing this?! I haven't done anything wrong to deserve this!"
My so-called Father applied more power into his blows after that. "Because you," down came the whip, "Are as powerless as a omega. And yet she thinks that you can come in and take my throne!"
"Ahhoooo!" I howled in pain as a another lash fell upon my back.
"It disgusts me how such a despicable creature could somehow defeat me!" And it landed across my back with every word he said.
BOOM!
"What, in the name of all things human, are you doing to your son?!" my Uncle Leontus demanded like no other.
"Stay out of this, Leontus!" snarled my torturer, the whip in hand still.
"No! I will not let you do this, Hart! Not to the boy!"
"Then leave!"
"No! Not until you calm down and realize what you're doing is wrong! You shouldn't beat a child!"
"You're right," my crazy, mad of a Father said plainly. "I shouldn't beat a child." I swear that my Uncle relaxed slightly before my torturer added, "I should teach him not to mess with me, or disobey me. Like some people." Then my Uncle hollered in pain as the mad man smote with the whip too.
"Stop! Stop hurting him! Take your anger out on me!" I won't let someone take a 'punishment' for my mistakes, my actions. The lunatic turned towards me.
"No, Ecoè! Don't do it!" he yelled from behind me.
"Shut up, Leontus!" snarled the crazed madman. Now facing me, he asked, "Are you sure?" I nodded. "Because I have a lot of anger bundled up inside. Are you positive you want me to take it all out on you?" I nodded again. "Alright. But remember you asked for it." And he speared his fist into my stomach.
Air dispersed from my lungs. I gasped, trying to suck air back into my lungs; the chains pulling at my shoulders.
"You don't know how long this has been waiting inside of me-wanting to come out." A punch the jaw. My head jerked to the right, rather roughly in fact.
"Hart! I told you to stop it!"
"And I remembering telling you to shut it!" retorted the psychopath, swinging the knout back and onto his brother's side.
When my Uncle cried out, it was like he was screaming bloody murder. The pain of the whip is almost too much to bare.
"Or there will be consequences!" screamed the nutcase.
I cried-tears streaming down my cheeks-as the psycho continued to beat my Uncle. Why is he doing this?! Why?! This is because of the stupid 'seer' that he took me to?
Apparently I said that out loud because the beyond man responded to it by hissing out, "It's because I don't want to be defeated by you-a lousy omega!"
Why does he keep on saying that I'm a omega? I'm his son. I'm a future alpha male. Or, at least, that's what I have been told. I noticed that he stopped whipping my Uncle. I'll have to take a beating so he won't have to suffer through one. To keep the maniac's attention on me, I inquired, "Why do you think I am a omega?"
The nutcase jeered, "Why?!" Laughing like the madman he is. As soon as he finished snickering at me, he jibed, saying, "That's a fine jest! The poor boy doesn't know why I think he's a omega!" And he chuckled-it sounded like a hyena. "Why it's only because you aren't strong enough-or powerful enough, for that matter-to be more than a simple, plain omega!"
And I thought that I was going to be a rather dominant alpha. Thanks for all of the wonderful support! Sarcasm.
Smiling from ear to ear, the lunatic exclaimed, "Which is why I'm going to teach you how to be the greatest alpha there is-minus me, of course!"
The gleam in his eyes told me that this wasn't going to be the last 'punishment' I'm going to have. I think my Father-or at least he used to be; I think he's gone now; the father I know is gone-has finally snapped. He has gone crazy.
"Oh, yes! Oh, yes! I will make you into the best alpha there is-not including me. And I will do whatever it takes to get you there! Even if it means having to go to the extremes!" The crazed man gushed on, rubbing his hands together-like a mad genius.
I now officially wish I didn't go with him to see that 'seer!'
"Things are going to be a lot different around here! Oh, yes! Now all we need to do it get you battle ready!" proclaimed the lunatic-as giddy as a pig. And he ran out of the room, yelling out orders; leaving me hanging-bleeding profoundly-and my Uncle laying in a pool of his own blood.

I woke to pain in my shoulder and arm, but it was less painful than it was before. What happened? I groaned. Hesitantly, I opened my eyes a little bit, but enough that I could see. Standing over me was a female Razlk. She was doing something to my wounded shoulder and arm. Pain jolted up my arm and shoulder and I groaned, flailing my arm. Someone must have heard me groaned, because someone pushed the female Razlk away from me and then there were shouting voices. Then someone stood over him, it looked liked Malhaw.
"Aeri are you wake? Can you hear me?" I was about to speak when Malhaw said, "Don't speak! Just keep your eyes open. And nod your head-nod your head twice if you're okay, shake your head if you're not okay."
I kept my eyes open, and nod my head twice. Malhaw released a sigh of relief. "What happened?" I asked, voice hoarse.
"Well, you were injured. So we had no choice but to bring you back here and let you heal. And before you asked you were here for two weeks. By the way, you got a nasty scar, and you are not supposed to move your arm and shoulder."
"I figured."
Then there was a awkward silence where no one talks and it's just plain awkward. That was until my stomach growled.
"You hungry?" asked Malhaw.
I nodded. Ravenous actually.
Malhaw turned away from me to face Burdenn-who I didn't even know was there. "Can you get meat for Aeri and I? Also you can get yourself some meat, or something." Burdenn just got up and walked out the door, without a word.
"Why did you do that?" I asked.
"What? Did you think that I would leave you after all this time?!" asked Malhaw in mock surprise.
"No," I said, smiling.
"Exactly."
Then I noticed something. "Malo?"
"Yeah?" asked Malhaw.
"Why doesn't my arm, or shoulder, hurt?"
"Well... Let me show you," said Malhaw, bending down. I saw him picked up his pack and opened it, pulling something out. It was a jar with a lid, when Malhaw took the lid off there was cream inside of it.
"What is it?"
Malhaw was about to respond when Burdenn came walking in. "Sorry I took so long, the deer decided to hide," joked Burdenn.
"That's okay. At least we get to eat, especially Aeri." Burdenn handed Malhaw the meat and Malhaw started to cut up the meat. Then handed me the cut up meat.
"I could've done that myself," I snapped, annoyed at being treated like a baby.
"If you did, you would've hurt your arm and shoulder, which would've been very bad." I sighed. Swallowing my pride, I said, "Thank you for helping me so I would not hurt my arm and my shoulder."
"You're welcome. Well, eat up. By the way, Aeri, don't eat quickly."
I just glared at him as if to say 'I know.' I wanted to snap at him, saying, 'I don't need to be treated like a baby' so badly.
After we finished eating, Burdenn left the room. When Malhaw turned around, I sat up and nearly gotten out of bed when Malhaw turned around to see me getting out of bed. "Aeri?! What on earth are you doing?!"
"I'm getting out of bed," I said, as if that was obvious. Honestly, if I gotten out of bed four weeks ago there wouldn't be this much drama.
"Oh no, you're not!"
"I been in this bed for how long?"
"Only two weeks."
"You say it like it's not a long time."
"Well, it isn't."
"No, it is."
"Malo just let Aeri off his bed," someone from behind Malhaw. I looked up and saw our Father walking towards them.
"Yes, Father," said Malhaw, bowing his head in submission. I got up, and out of bed, smirking at Malhaw as if to say 'Ha!'
"Aeri, come here."
I walked towards my Father. "Yes, Father?"
"Don't ever smirk at someone like that."
"Yes, Father," I said, with my head down.
"Good. Now let's get you off to bed."
I sighed, but I didn't argue, I knew it was useless to argue with my father. He took me out of one bed, just to put me in another one. How ironic.
So we back to where we were staying. When we entered we saw that Lolf sitting on one of the beds. Malhaw and I, instantly, started growling. Lolf got off the bed and started walking towards us, stopped right in front of them. "Aeri, you look better and you are walking on your feet again. That is good."
"Like you even care," I snapped.
"Kar, control your son," said Lolf. Actually it sounded more like a order.
"You can't talk to my father that way! And you definitely can't order my father around," I yelled, while walking towards Lolf.
"Aeri, stop!" warned my Father
"No!" I yelled.
"I would listen to your father, boy."
"Boy?! I am not a boy!"
"Yes, you are; a boy who is young and stupid."
"That's it," I said, before I lunged at Lolf.
Unfortunately, my Father caught me around the waist. "Would you get out of here!" Lolf just left with a smirk on his face. When we could no longer hear Lolf, Father let me go. "Okay, let's all go to bed."
"Agreed," said Malhaw.
We all went to bed without anything objections. I was too angry to go to sleep, though. Then I heard a 'squeak.' Grumbling, I got out of bed.
Father said that this would happened, I thought as pulled out the dragon egg. But it was too quiet. I set the dragon egg down on the nightstand again, going back to bed. I noticed that my hand started tingling as I climbed into bed. As I laid back down, I was about to fall asleep when I saw a small shape coming towards me.
Then I heard, All is well. It sound like it was a female's voice and it also sounded like it was inside of my head, not out loud. That was my last thought before I fell asleep.
