Chapter Thirty-Three
A/N: This is my 'I am sorry that I didn't update on time' apology, a extra chapter. And may I say that I feel rather evil about this one. MWAHAHAHA! *Gives the look of innocence* What I didn't do anything? I didn't just write everything that will make you think about what you ever known about this book in the next few chapters that I will be updating.
*Evil witch laugh* Oh, and apparently I have a good witch laugh and voice. I don't know how to put that on here, I'm sorry. Well, enjoy, lovelies!
End of A/N
~Burdon~
Where did that come from? Why was Evlât's visons in Ecoè's? Was that a memory or something? What's going on? I had no way of knowing unless I get out of here.
I was about to open my eyes when I heard voices above me.
"Did you bite him?" demanded a man who sounded a lot like my Father.
Why is my Father here? Because the last time I checked, he was in Alagrathea. So it doesn't make sense how he is here... Unless he has escaped along with everyone else. He better not of betrayed me too.
"N-n-no, Master, I d-di-did not," stuttered Maisha, sounding nervous.
Master? Since when is my Father called that? Especially by Maisha?
"You better not of," warned the man who sounds like my Father.
His voice sounds too cruel and too deep to be my Father; there is no way that's him.
"I promise, Karlag, I didn't."
My eyes flew open at mention of my Father's name-like when you pull the cord of blinds and it snaps all the way to the top without warning, and it makes a 'phwhs' sound going up. Whhaaattt? Now I have no prove that he's not my father.
"If you did, then I would be fearing for your life right now because no crosses me and gets away with it."
I would've said something but it was like I just had a mouth shot-it was all numb and hanged loosely like a hing without enough screws.
"Look who's finally awake!" exclaimed the man standing above me.
If I didn't know any better I would've thought that the man in front of me was my Father, but his hair was too dark; his eyes lacking the kindness that my Father has, the laughter too; and his mouth too devious, there was no smile when there should've been.
"Who are you?" I inquired, though it probably came out like, "Whew arugh yewv?" with the numbness in my mouth. I tongue refused to work and just flapped out in my mouth like a dog's tongue in the wind.
Which seemed to amused the man in front of me even further.
I tried to glared at him but it probably looked like I was just squinting from where he is standing.
"You don't know who I am?" asked the Man in front of me, though it was more rhetorical than not.
Even though he did look almost exactly like my father, I had no clue who he is. I just hope he isn't Tenter with a different face-desperately hoping he isn't. "No." It most likely came out as, "Mow."
"See," pointed out Maisha, gesturing towards me, "Master, he doesn't know anything."
The Man gave Maisha a look could melt icicles. He definitely did not look happy. Irritated is more like it.
Well, ain't that lovely! Haha! Ain't ain't a word, so I ain't going to say it. Why am I thinking about this in my current situation? I have no clue.
"If you weren't so valuable, I would have killed you myself a long time ago," the Man put bluntly. It was as if he was saying that he was making dinner and it would be done in a few minutes, rather than threatening to take someone's life.
"But-but I thought-"
"Well, you thought wrong."
"I'm sorry, Master, please forgive me," begged Maisha, with her head down-like a puppy being scorned for its bad behavior.
The Man-who's supposedly named Karlag too, similar face too, but different attitude-stared at her before replying, "Fine. Only because I need you in the future."
Maisha-the woman who tried to kill me-fell to her knees, basically praising the man who just threatened to kill her. "Thank you, Master! Thank you so much!" By her praise you would've thought that he was Jesus coming to save us-but he isn't, else he wouldn't of said that he was going to kill her.
The Man-my Father's name twin-gurn at her, revealing his teeth, which were sharp and to the point, like his words. "Get up and shut up!"
"Of course, Master. Whatever you say, I will do," replied Maisha, hopping up from her kneeling position.
I feel bad for Maisha. She did try to kill me, so not too bad, but bad nonetheless.
"I told you to shut up."
Maisha's mouth flew shut faster than you could say, 'crab cakes.'
"That's much better."
"Who are you?" I asked again. Though it still came out as "Whew arugh yewv?"
The Man with the same name as my Father turned his head and then his body. He gave a little smirk that spoke more than mischievous, it also spoke your doom.
"Who am I?" repeated the Man, mocking me. He crouched down next to me and lifted my head until we were nose-to-nose and eye-to-eye-literally.
His eyes stared into mine, into my soul.
"Why," the Man said with his left hand on the back of my neck, "I'm your Father, of course."
"What-" I started.
"None of that," he interrupted, waving my words away with a lazy flick of his right wrist. "I'm not even supposed to let you see me, much more be talking with you."
"What are-"
"But then again, you have no clue what I'm talking about, so I guess that it doesn't matter."
"What are you-"
"Because in the end you won't remember any part of this."
"What are you talking-"
"Then again, I shouldn't be here, letting you see me or talk with me."
"What are you talking about?!" I finally finished.
Just from his eyes, I could tell that he was smirking. The look in his eyes was very smug, I don't even want to see the smirk that he is wearing.
"You don't know, do you?"
"Know what?"
The man-who claims to be my Father-chuckled at that. It reminded me of a hyena.
"Know what?" I repeated, annoyed with being laughed at.
The Man chuckle grew into laughter and he threw his head back. Somehow he managed to do this without moving his hand off of my neck.
"What?" I snapped, irritated. "What is so funny?"
The Man, apparently, laughed so hard that he started crying happy-or laughter-tears. "Oh, nothing. It's just funny that you don't remember anything."
"Not to me it isn't. And why do you think you are my Father and why did Maisha call you 'Karlag?'"
"It's rather simple."
"Enlighten me."
"It is because my name is Karlag."
Anger flared through me; and all I want to do want punch the man in the face, but it was not possible with my body numbed and all. How dare do this man stand here and tell me that he is my Father!
"And I am your father."
I couldn't take it anymore. "Liar! You are not my Father!"
The Man who is actively proclaiming that he is my Father gave me a little chuckle-still sounding like a hyena. "You are going to wish I weren't."
"Well, there will be no wishing here because you are not my Father!" I screamed.
"I would argue with you, but are not going to remember this anyways, so there is really no point to."
A warning.
I tried to take a step back-just a single step-and it was like trying to walk backwards in cement, totally and completely impossible.
"What are you going to do to me?"
Without telling me anything he just said, "Good night," as he pressed down on my neck with his left hand.
The blackness took me-along with my memories-down, down, and I couldn't say no.

When I opened my eyes, Maisha was no longer there. Whatever had prevented me from moving was now gone and I could move freely. I stood up, a bit unsteadily. My body was all stiff from lying on the ground. I exited the room very carefully and quietly. I heard some footsteps behind me.
"Are you authorized to be in this section?" asked a female vampire.
Authorized? What kind of vampire knows what authorized means? What kind of vampire knows what section means? Then I had my answer. A vampire that is half werewolf of Anjustlia. I turned around and faced the female. She looked so surprised to see me.
"Are you Malhaw's half-brother?"
I nodded.
"I heard a lot about you from Malhaw and a lot of people. Forgive me I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Delilah."
"Nice to meet you, Delilah. I heard some things about you." I looked around.
"I can help you escape. All you need to do is act like Malhaw and they're let you leave because you look so much like Malhaw," explained Delilah.
I eyed her suspiciously before saying okay. I walked exactly how Delilah told me to talk, walk, act, et cetera, et cetera. Surprisingly, I made it out of there alive. All I made to do was figure out where I was.
"There you are!" exclaimed Malhaw running towards them. "Thank you so much for getting him out of there alive!"
"You're welcome, I got to go before anyone miss me or know that I'm missing," said Delilah and she ran away.
"You okay?" asked Malhaw. I nodded.

Back at the Varden I laid down and fell asleep. When I woke up I did my usual routine. I wonder what everyone else was doing. After a few days I noticed a scar across my ribs-the left side.
Ugh, so many scars I now have. Why am I getting so many scars? Why are all sort of creatures out to get me? It is so strange.
When the day was over I went to bed and fell asleep.
I heard something slithering on the ground. I turned and saw a Vinstockar. The Vinstockar started to turned into its human-like shape. "Don't forget us," said the Vinstockar.
"Which one are you?"
I expect Forget, Memory, or something like that. But I didn't expect to hear was, "Trouble."
"What do you mean by 'Don't forget us?'"
"It means don't forget us."
"Why would I forget you?"
"People always do, even when they their hardest not do forget us."
"Why do you think I can?"
"You remembered what happened to you when you only four."
I did, but how does Trouble know that? And why do I feel like I remembered one thing and forgot another? "I haven't told anyone that."
"You don't need to, Remembered said you remembered it."
"How does he know that?"
"Remembered could sense it. Sense that you remembered what happened when you were four. I can sense when people are about to do trouble or are doing something they shouldn't have. We do usually... actually we always do what we are named. But we can sensed when someone does something that we are named for, like I explain before I can sense when people caused trouble or are causing trouble," explained Trouble.
I nodded. "I won't forget you or the Vinstockar."
Trouble smiled, then turned into his vine-like shape and slithering away. I woke up right then.
'Remember us, don't forget us.'
I guess Trouble comes and goes where it please.
