Human Sans x Skeleton Reader

I've only read about the creatures trapped underground. I've seen pictures of them but they all look the same. Humans are weird creatures, in my opinion. They have nothing to protect themselves with. It's no wonder they lost the war. In the books I've read, it says humans used sticks with pointy metal parts that they called blades.
The thing humans didn't consider was the fact that blades can break. As magic is quick to regenerate.

The book went into great detail about the war. It would be great for my project. I put the book in my bag and left the library. I walked to my favorite bakery, ok, it's only my favorite because of my beloved younger sister who owns it.

But hey, free food, who's complaining?

I walked inside to hear the familiar chime of a friendly bell. "Heya Y/n, I thought you were studying today?" I turned to see Olivia.

She looked like something from a certain human tradition called a sugar skull with all the paint she used. But it really suits her colorful personality. Her dress was just as colorful as mine was just white. Her magic color was a beautiful pink, representing her love for everyone and everything. Her attacks were all heart based, as mine where mostly healing attacks except for a few magic and bone attacks I've learned.

"I thought I'd grab some food and a drink."
"How can you and mommy eat?" I turned to see my little nephew. He was a partial skeleton but he was mostly a bunny monster. Part of his right arm and his hands where the only resemblance to a skeleton. The rest of him was a brown and tan bunny more or less. He wore his signature Tee shirt and blue jeans. "Heya Hatch, how are you?"

"I'm good, I'm helping mommy in the bakery." I nodded, "That's very kind of you. And to answer your question, food gets turned into magic for all monsters. You'll learn more about that once you start studying monsters later this year in school." He sighed at the mention of school. "School sucks. . ."
"I thought you liked learning?"
"I do, but everyone is so annoying during history. Saying that humans aren't real."

I was shocked at this, kids don't think humans exist? What are they teaching at that school? The topic was quickly dropped from the conversation when Hatch was called to help pour cupcake mix into the pan.

I sat down and started to reread the book this time taking notes. The TV was nothing but background noise until they said something that caught my attention. "Humans are on the surface once again." I dropped what I was doing and quickly looked at the TV. Frisk was standing right behind the reporter.

I looked at Olivia and Hatch, they were in just as much shock as I was. "We used to babysit that kid!" Olivia and I yelled at the same time. Our families were very close, but we had to move downtown. Of course, that didn't stop our parents from going on trips with all of us every summer. I remember helping paint Frisk's nursery before they were born like it was yesterday.

Frisk was like another sister for both Oliva and myself. "I'm going uptown to see Frisk right away!" I exclaimed as I packed up my stuff. "Not without me you aren't!" Oliva said quickly taking off her apron. She turned to another employee who was working with her and told her to watch over the place.

It wasn't long until Oliva, Hatch, and myself were on the bus to get to Frisk's house.

We knocked on the door and a human answered the door. All four of us stared at each other confused. Frisk ran and waved at us from behind the human. "Frisk!" We all hugged each other tightly. "Thank God you're ok! We were so worried!" Oliva took the words out of my mouth.

"Heya kid, gonna introduce us to your friends?" Another human called from inside. We were quickly dragged inside by the small goat child. "Wow, kiddo you better make your friends a sandwich or something. They look a little thin, maybe let them sleep too, they look tried to the bone. They must have been doing a SkeleTON of work."

I looked at all the humans but I couldn't see much of a difference in any of them. Except for some of their body shapes and hair color. I used my magic to grab the human who was just talking. I brought them close to my face to exam them. I squished their cheeks "Incredible! The books didn't lie about the texture of human skin, it's so squishy." I got out my notepad and quickly jotted down notes.

"Um, Y/n, remember that their living things and I don't think they like being examined like that." Oliva's words went in one ear and out the other. I looked back at the human and saw they're face had changed to a pinkish color. "Oh my god, Olivia! They change color!" I was so excited to be able to see real humans! "Y/n, leave Sans alone." Frisk said, "Sans? Is that your name?" I asked turning back to the human.

They noded, I giggled excitedly and even jumped a little. "Sans, will you let me ask you questions about humans? I would like to know if the books and legends are true." Sans didn't say anything, they just nodded. I smiled brightly and dragged him outside with my magic. "Ok, first things first." I pulled out my books and sat on the ground.

"Do humans have magic?" I asked, Sans, laughed. "Yep, check it." they held out their hands and grabbed their thumb with one hand and took it off. (like one of those lame party tricks) "Wow! I can do stuff like that too!" I took off my arm and waved it at him before reattaching it.

"Can you do this?" I summoned a few bone attacks and sent them their way. "Humans don't really have magic, we rely more on science and inventions." I wrote down what they said in my notes. "Wait but what about the magic you did?"
"Fake, it's a party trick. Most humans can do it."
"Ok, oh what gender are you? I read humans have different genders like monsters."
"I'm a male."
I continue to ask questions and write down his responses. It went on for hours before Sans finally said he had to go. "Wait, I have more questions!" Sans chuckled, "Tell you what, we can meet up tomorrow. You can ask me some more questions and I can ask you questions of my own, K?"

I nodded
"Ok."
