Kindness

Hey Reader-Chan!!!

OKAY I KNOW THIS PROBABLY WASN'T THE CHAPIE THAT YA'LL WERE EXPECTING, BUT I SWEAR THERE'S A GOOD REASON!

I wanted to make an A/n explaining something, but lets be honest guys, I have a loooooooot of those already.

So I thought it would be better if I did a shorter chapie so ya'll won't have to suffer through another one of my stupid A/n's.

Just keep in mind that it will be short, plus the A/n at the end will be REALLY long. And since this is just on the fly, don't expect an AMAZING chapie either. The A/n later is really important to me.

But we might as well get going before this initial A/n gets too long XD

Art doesn't belong to me!

(Also I wanna make one more quick note. I think heard from the creator/s of Flowerfell say that they don't want anymore stories of their AU. I thought since this was just a oneshot, it would be fine. But if you want me to take this down, I understand, and I'll try to think of another story to replace it. The only thing that really matters is the A/n at the end. All clear? Then let's finally start! X3)

Third Person POV

"Sans..?"

Frisk yawns silently as she rubs her eyes. Or, at least, the area on her face where her eyes would normally be, but was now overgrown with small golden buttercup flowers, which stung slightly and made her flinch.

"Are you there..?" She asks, worriedly.

She then feels something shift behind her before a pair of arms snake around her waist, and a small weight placed atop her head.

"Right here, sweetheart." A familiar voice chuckles. "Did ya rest well?"

Hearing the skeletons voice eases the girl as a sweet smile spreads across her face. She had forgotten for a moment that she and her two monster companions had decide to take a rest by one of the many lakes of the Waterfall, and how she had happily fallen asleep in Sans' embrace. She was a little saddened by the fact that she could no longer see the beautiful area, due to the flowers. Tilting her head slightly to face the skeleton, she spoke softly.

"I did! I hope it wasn't too much trouble..."

"'Course not." Sans says. "Yesterday was defiantly eventful. Runnin' away from the fish lady was a work out." He pretends to groan, sounding amused. "Like holy hell, I'm so out of shape. Can't say I blame ya for wantin' a bit of shut eye."

Frisk couldn't help but giggle at how Sans would refer to Undyne as 'fish lady'. And even in the situation that they were in, it was almost funny how casually he would bring up things like nearly getting killed as if it was just the norm for him. Well... in some ways it defiantly wasn't far from the truth... which was kind of a downer. She shook of the sudden negative thoughts and laughs some more.

"Maybe this is a wake up call for you to finally stop being such a lazybones~!" She smiles playfully.

"Ugh! And here I thought I finally found someone who understands my laziness." He places a hand against his chest, sounding offended and hurt. This only made Frisk's smile brighten even more as she continues to laugh at his acting.

Sans couldn't help but grin when she laughed. God, it was like music to his ears (Sans please, you ain't fooling no one. You don't have ears XD). He brush some strands of her chocolate brown hair out of her face as she nuzzles close to him. He stares down at her and sighs. How he missed being able to stare into her beautiful, soft, hazel brown orbs. And it was all because of the damn yellow flowers that plagues her. He could only imagine what kind of pain she is going through.

Suddenly Frisk feels something wrap around one of her arms.

"Frisk! You're awake!" Flowey says. "Did this bonehead wake you up?"

Sans grumbles under his breath, displease by the flower's remark while Frisk feels her friend nuzzle her cheek, causing for her to smile.

She pats Flowey's head. "Don't worry. I woke up on my own terms. I hope you two rested easy as well."

"As much rest as someone can get when they have ta stand guard all night." Sans shrugs.

"Yep. I had to stay up too, patrolling the area." Flowey nods in agreement.

She gasp. "Did you two not get any sleep..?!"

"Ah, its no big deal." She feels him casually shrug again. Meanwhile, Flowey pressed his cheek against hers, as if to say everything is okay.

She wriggles out of his arms to sit properly and face him. She shakes her head repeatedly, her hands balled up into fists, before staring up at him with a frown. Feeling guilty, she couldn't help but hug him again, wrapping her delicate arms around him and burying her face onto his chest.

"You shouldn't risk your health and safety for me..! I'm not worth it..." She mutters.

She was taken back when out of nowhere she hears San burst into laughter.

"Are ya bein' serious right now?" He snorts.

"H-h-huh?" She stutters, utterly confused. She felt like absolutely stupid right now because she couldn't understand why the skeleton monster was laughing at her. A small part of her kinda wanted to begin crying as she hugs the jacket Sans' lent her close.

"Hey bonehead!" Flowey growls, noticing the distraught look on her face. "Be careful with your words! You know Frisk is very sensitive, you prick!"

"I know, I know. I'm sorry, sweetheart." He apologizes. "I couldn't help it."

Sans cups her face and makes her look up at him, despite the fact she could no longer see him. Her face began to heat up when she feels him press his forehead against hers. Then thought of kissing him crosses her mind, only furthering her embarrassment.

"But seriously. Yer talking to a guys who spent most of his shitty life not giving a fuck about anyone, not even himself!" He starts. "So its gotta mean something when I say yer worth it, and trust me sweetheart. Yer defiantly worth it. Even a blind monster could see it."

Sans absolutely meant those words. Up until he meet Frisk, he was so sure that he would be stuck in this hellhole they call the Underground, and stuck with that awful job working for his brother at his sentry post searching for a human that would never come for the rest of his life. In may ways, he was grateful to have been there at that lonely sentry post out in the middle of that snowy forest. Otherwise, he never would have meet this wonderful person.

"Lets be real now. I can't even fathom how the hell such an angel like ya ended up in this messed up world. Or how such an amazing gal would put up with such an asshole like me."

His words caused for her to blush a deep shade of red as she couldn't prevent a bashful smile to appear on her face. She places a hand on his cheekbone as he rests his head on it with a content sigh.

"Well... it may have been true that you were not the nicest person in the past. But you are a much better person now!" She pulls him closer to lightly nuzzle his nose. "Maybe you may not see it, but I do."

The skeleton chuckles, softly. "Heh, ya really think so?"

"I know so..!" She beams. "Sans... I lo-"

Footsteps.

In amids of the quiet area, she could hear them clear as day.

Footsteps. Coming  towards their direction.

She stiffens. Someone was coming.

Sans and Flowey seemed to have heard them too as she felt the flower's vines tightly constrict around her arms while Sans bolted up.

"We need ta leave. Now."

Grabbing the girl's hand, she scrabbles to her feet as he drags her away as fast as they could. Her heart was racing. She couldn't see a thing! Now she was running aimlessly and trusting that Sans knew what he was doing. She tried her best not to trip over her own feet, but her legs were shaking and her breathing became uneven.

What if they were caught? She was prepared for anything that would happen to her. That didn't mean it didn't scare her. Truth be told, she was more than just frightened of what the consequences would be.

But what about her companions? They would surely be punished for helping her! She couldn't bare the thought of something happening to them because of her actions!

Then they came to a sudden halt. Frisk was about to ask why they had stop, but she felt the hood of the jacket being pulled over her head and Sans quietly whispering, "Get ready."

In a split second, a gush of water fell above them before she could feel Sans drop down to the ground and pull her close.

"S-Sans..? Where are we..?" She shakily asks.

"We're in a little hidin' hole behind a waterfall." He answers. "They don't even know this exist! We'll be safe here, sweetheart." He runs his fingers through her hair and embraces her tightly, assure her everything is going to be alright.

"Are you sure they won't find us here?" Flowey questions, eyeing the skeleton carefully.

"Not if they here ya yappin', weed..!" He growls.

Flowey was barely able to respond back when they hear footsteps grew louder and louder, until they could see dark silhouette of two tall figures standing in front of the waterfall.

"DAMMIT!" A voice shouts. "I could have sworn I saw them!"

"WELL IF YOU DID SEE THEM, THEY COULD NOT HAVE GONE FAR." The other figure speaks.

The first voice growls darkly as they stab what seem to be a spear to the ground, causing for the ground to shake. Frisk let out a gasp as she whimpers.

"Did you hear that?"

Sans quickly covers her mouth. She looks up at him as she attempts to apologize to him, feeling guilty. He smiles empathetically down at her. He places a finger to his teeth and she nodded in understanding, clinging onto him desperately. She let some of the tears she had been holding fall.

"IT WAS PROBABLY JUST THE WATER."

Eventually the two figures continue pass them and were soon out of sight. Sans didn't realize he was holding his breath until he let out a long sigh. When he glace down, he saw the sweet girl was visibly shaking as she sniffed, rubbing her tears away.

"I'll just make sure the close it clear and perimeter the area." The small plant monster unwraps his vines around her arm and buries himself underground.

"S-Sans..." She croaks. "I... I'm s-s-s-sorry..! I was panicking! I didn't.. I d-didn't mean t-to-"

"Shhh... its alright. It wasn't yer fault." He hushed her, burrying his face into her hair as she hugs him. "Yer alright, sweetheart... yer alright..." He closed his eye sockets.

They stayed there in silence. Frisk slowly began to calm down.

"I'm sorry..." She whispers again.

He opens his eyes to stare back at her, pulling away from the hug. Placing a hand on her cheek, he gently caresses her tear stained cheek with his thumb and she started to relax. She reaches her hand out to hold his hand. It was such a comforting feeling.

"I'm scared, Sans..."

"I know..."

"I'm scared of what will happen to me... to Flowey... and to you..."

"I know sweetheart... I am too..."

She vigorously shake her head and squeezes him tightly. Suddenly feeling the weight of their mission crashing down on her all at once. As if she finally realize what was to come.

"Sans... I'm going to die..!"

He stiffens at her words. "No... yer not."

"I am Sans...!" She accidentally lets out a sob. "If I am to set you all free... I'm going to have to die."

"Ya... ya don't have to go..." He clenches his teeth. "Ya could stay here... with me." His grip on her tightened, finally realizing the same thing. He shakes his head in denial. "We... we can figure of somethin' out! Ya don't have... to... to... go..."

"Sans..." She sniffs, seriously looking at him in the eye. She noticed that he seemed to be holding back his own tears. "You and I both know that it's not possible..."

Silence.

"Ya know..?" Sans spoke, breaking the silence. "Sometimes I wish we could have met at better times, hmm?" He laughs to himself.

"What do you mean?" She says, softly.

"Ya know... maybe when times aren't so ruff that we need to sacrifice a human soul to escape this hellhole." He jokes, smiling halfheartedly.

She smiles along with him, wiping away the rest of her tears. "Wouldn't that be nice..."

"Then again... if we do somehow manage to escape this... would ya still want ta stay with me?" He mutters.

"Of course I would!" The ends of her lips tug upwards. "You know... I... I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life by your side, you know..?" Her hand grips his, making his cheekbones burn up.

"I love you, Sans."

Frisk tilts her head up slightly, enough for her to lightly peck his teeth. He sat there for a moment, starstruck, processing what she had done. It never failed to make her heart flutter knowing how much she knew Sans cares about her. And even if she could no longer see how the simple action of kissing affected him, she could still feel it. She properly faces him and cups his cheeks. He snaps out of his thought only for her to pull him towards another kiss.

The kiss was so soft and tender. He wraps his arm around her waist to pull her closer to the kiss and uses his other hand to run his fingers through her hair. All thoughts escape them as they enjoy their small moment of peace.

No sorrow. No worries. No problems.

Just the two of them, together.

Pulling away, she smiles shyly, face flushed an obvious bright red. Sans grins back and presses his teeth against her forehead.

"God... I love ya so much, sweetheart." He breaths out.

Frisk loved him so much as well. She erased any other negative thoughts she was thinking and decided to focus on the positive ones. While she was still here with Sans, she will spend as much time with him as possible, and cherish all of those moments and memories in her heart.

"Hey guys! The coast is clear!"

Flowey says as he sprouts out from the ground, right in front of them. The pair glance at each other before sharing a small smile.

"Thank you Flowey." Frisk thanks her friend, patting his head.

"I guess we can head back out now." Sans suggests.

The skeleton was about to stand up, but was held down by the girl as she hugs his arm.

"Hmm? Is somethin' wrong, sweetheart?"

She beams, shaking her head. "Can we... stay here..? Just for a little bit longer?"

Sans was taken back slightly, not really expecting her request. He nods his head with a smile, before turning his head towards the golden flower with a raised nonexistent eyebrow.

"Are you sure Frisk?"

She eagerly nods her head. "I know we should probably get going... but I would just like to spend some time relaxing. If you don't mind."

Flowey was about to protest, when Frisk clasps her hands together and she pouts.

"Please Flowey..!" She begs.

He ponders for a moment, rubbing the back of his head. Did they really have time for this?

"Ah come on ya little shit." Sans chuckles. He squishes the girls cheeks, causing for her to giggle as he presses his forehead against hers. "How can ya say no to this face?"

"Ugh fine." He gives in. He thought that it would hurt to relax for a bit longer. And for the sake of his friend, he really wanted for her to be happy. "I'll continue to keep a watch outside. Don't do anything behind my back, skeleton." He glares at Sans.

Sans waves a hand in the air. "Way too assume I was plannin' somethin' in the first place. Even ya know no harm will come to her while I'm around."

"Are you sure you weren't planning anything..?" Frisk jokes, with an innocent smile spread across her face.

"Hey now, don't get coy with me, sweetheart~" He grins, mischievously. "This for yer safety."

He playfully ruffles her chocolate brown hair, making her laugh lightheartedly. Flowey couldn't help but roll his eyes. But he can't deny what the guy said was true. Despite the fact their first encounter was a rocky start, he was pretty surprise with how much this monster has changed after meeting the human girl. And so far he's done a stellar job at keeping them safe. Plus he (somehow) makes Frisk happy.

"Whatever." He scoffs. "Frisk, if this idiot does anything stupid, just call out to me."

"Aye, aye captain!" She salutes.

Once the flower got the confirmation he needed, he somewhat felt secure and finally buries himself in the ground and leaves.

"So, how long you planin' on us stayin' here?" Sans properly plops himself onto the ground and pulls Frisk down with him. She sits in between his legs with a shy smile.

"I'm not sure, honestly..." She admits. "I only wanted an excuse to cuddle for a bit." She rubs the back of her head, her cheeks flushed a light pink. "A-and to rest...! O-of c-c-course..."

"Well, mission accomplished." He smirks, wrapping his arms around her waist, burying his face into her hair. "Come here, sweetheart..."

The girl then reaches her hand out to grab his boney hand, intertwining their fingers together, while she nuzzles deeper into his embrace. He closes his eye sockets and rests his head on her shoulder.

"I love you, Sans." She softly pecks his cheekbone.

"Love ya too, sweetheart."  He opens an eye socket to stare at her as he lovingly nuzzles into her neck.

"Please... never leave me."

"Never, sweetheart."

Her grip on his hand tightens. "I love you..!"

"I love ya too, sweetheart." He chuckles, kissing her cheek. "I love ya so much..."

Just wanna give a quick shout out to anyone here from Amino!

When I got the app Amino, I found out there was a Frans amino and joined it for fun! I was pretty surprised when some people actually know who I am. And its honestly really flattering that they know who I am and like my Frans stories! >///<

I don't know what your usernames are here on Wattpad. But ya'll know who you are out there!!! This is for you!!!

So thank you uwu

But lets get to the main topic at hand, why I've been gone.

I've been dealing with some personal stuff here at home and in school, and have been dealing with some serious clinical depression.

Now I've been seeing a counselor and was checked up, and I've been doing better! So you guys don't have too worry :3

I've been dealing with it for a while now, and honestly got so much worse last year.

I was too afraid to bring this up to you guys, because people's reaction are usually something like, "You'll get over it", or, "Oh, you're just saying that to get attention!"

During that dark period of time, I didn't have motivation at all to write stories, on top of doing all of the school work I was failing in. Writing used to be a way for me to escape my troubles and worries, but for a while, it started feeling like a chore, as much as I hate to admit. And I hated how whenever I would have an idea and start writing, I would quickly lose interest writing it, but still love the idea!

But I've been feeling pretty guilty for you all who have been waiting so patiently for the next chapie (thank you guys by the way ^///^). And I wanted to give you guys my honest reason for being gone and hope you guys understand, instead of just disappearing for a long time without a proper explanation.

But like I said, I've been taking steps to recover and is feeling better!

So don't get scared if you think I'm gonna stop writing stories. I'm still very much trash for Undertale and Frans! X3

I just might be slow with updates.

BUT IT'S FINALLY SUMMER FOR ME!!! ^A^

So I'm hoping to update as many of my chapters that I started writing but never finished.

Like my Valentines day chapie I was suppose to update on Valentines (obviously), but I think is still relevant because the setting was already set in a beach, so it could be like my summer chapie instead (spoilers!!! XP).

And the chapie that you guys voted for of course!

I apologize if this chapie seems half assed tho.

But anyways! I'm just gonna publish this before I go to bed. Thank you all so much for being patient and I hope you guys can forgive me for being gone for so long 💜

Hope y'all are having a wonderful day/night!!!

Anyways, bye Reader-Chan!!!
