Shizu, the following day was dead.

That was what Sans had heard, he did not witness the entire ordeal of Rimuru suddenly acquiring a body. Which is Shizu's that is, but instead of raven hair it was light blue, the color of Rimuru. And that the slime was still genderless. But that's it, those are the only differences appearance-wise.

The reason for him not witnessing the entire ordeal was that he woke up late, litterally he just woke up late and ended up skipping an entire mind-boggling event.

Don't blame him it was 7 in the morning, that was not within his range of wake-up time. Hell he sleeps til noon and him waking up at 10 was already early for him.

Rigurd just told him that they had a hugging session basically. Welp it doesn't seem like he missed anything too important. Although it was probably for the best that he was not there or he'll probably be ruining the mood with an accidental pun. To which only Rimuru would probably understand, which arguably would suck since it'll make the mood awkward as fuck.

Speaking of which, they're currently fawning over their newly created clothes for them which is technically armor. Apparently, the dwarves Rimuru brought were not just some run of the mill ordinary blacksmithing ones, they're actually some world renowned one. What luck did Rimuru even pull off? And they're actually pretty damn famous. Or atleast that's the message Sans is inferring from his observations...

Anyways he just jumpscared the three adventures by shoutcuting behind them

"Heya, how are you all?" Sans says with his usual chilly smile and placing a hand on Kaval's shoulder

"Gah!" Kaval blurted whilst the other two made terrified faces as if their ghost suddenly appeared. Sans's deep voice scared him more than the shoulder tap in all honesty

"Eep! I didn't know you were there" complained Eren, clutching her staff closer to her chest.

"He wasn't, he just purposely shortcuted behind you all. Like the asshole he is" Rimuru says whilst staring down at Sans who just smiled smugly

"That's mean" Gido says whilst looking at awfully unguilty looking Sans

"Seriously, you need to stop scaring people..." Rimuru sighs and then deadpanned

"What can I say? Their reactions are pretty nice" Sans says with a simple shrug, all three of the adventures are eyeing him now

"Anyways I'm glad you guys liked what the Dwarven brothers made" Rimuru says immediately switching the topic or else Sans would start making puns

"For sure! I'll pass it as a family heirloom at this point." Kaval says enthusiastically while flexing the said armor

"It's really high quality and actually made from direwolves." Gido says, inspecting the outfit once more.

"Mhm! It's so fluffy and soft." Eren says gleefully, touching the fabric yet again

"Of course, it's made with the highest quality of materials" The dwarf said proudly, after all it's his work

"Well uh, we should get going already. We don't want to get scolded by the guilmaster. Thank you for everything Rimuru and Sans." Kaval says while bowing a bit to show some sort of gratitude

"Yea, yeah! We're going off!" Eren says as she fixed her stuff

As the adventurers gathered their things, Rimuru stood by with their arms crossed, watching the trio prepare for their departure. The air was light, the morning sun filtering through the trees, casting patches of warmth on the ground.

"Alright," Rimuru said, breaking the silence, "you three ready to head out? You've got everything?"

Kaval, still beaming at his new armor, slung his bag over his shoulder. "Yep, all set! This gear feels amazing. It's too nice to actually wear into battle." He chuckled, clearly impressed by the craftsmanship.

Gido nodded, adjusting his pack and giving the straps a final tug. "We'll treat it well, don't worry. But if we're heading into monster territory, this is going to come in handy."

Eren, a little more jittery than the others, clutched her staff tightly. "I still can't believe how soft this is. Anyway, we'll be careful."

Rimuru gave a small, approving nod. "Just be careful on the way back! There's a lot of monsters on the forest"

Before Kaval could respond, Sans casually phased into view behind them, his presence catching them off guard. With a lazy grin, he placed a hand on Kaval's shoulder. "Heh, make sure not to say hi to gargantuan ants, m'kay?"

"Gah!" Kaval yelped, leaping forward and turning around quickly. "You've got to stop doing that!"

"Seriously!" Eren added, her grip tightening on her staff. "You're going to give someone a heart attack one day!"

Sans shrugged, an innocent look on his face. "What can I say? Gotta keep you on your toes."

Rimuru sighed, rubbing their temple. "Sans, you really need to stop scaring people before they leave."

Well you can't blame him since apparently he just got the newfound information that 'Undeads' or basically what he apparently looks like. Guessing that undeads are more off a dead/skeleton type of creature; are absolutely feared of. Honesty what's to fear with a walking-talking skeleton buddy?

Sans chuckled, his hand returning to his pocket as he leaned back against a tree. "Yeah, yeah. But it's all in good fun."

"Not for us," Gido muttered, though his lips twitched with a hint of amusement.

Kaval, shaking off the jump scare, turned back to Rimuru. "Alright, we're off. We'll be arriving home by sunset, I hope."

Rimuru nodded. "Good. Stay safe, and don't do anything reckless."

"We'll be fine," Kaval said, flashing a thumbs-up. Eren and Gido offered their own reassuring smiles, though Eren still seemed slightly unsettled by Sans' earlier stunt.

The three adventurers made their way out of the village, the path ahead leading deeper into the forest. Their chatter faded as the trees closed in, leaving Rimuru and Sans behind, watching their silhouettes disappear into the distance.

"Think they'll be alright?" Rimuru asked, their voice casual but with a hint of concern.

Sans, still leaning against the tree, gave a nonchalant wave. "Heh, they've got good gear this time around. And if things get dicey... eh, they can probably deal with it."

Rimuru shook their head with a slight smile. "Just don't overdo it with the scares next time."

"No promises," Sans replied, his grin as lazy as ever.

In all honesty Rimuru is so joyous to actually have a body this time. They can actually taste food. That's an absolute game-changer over there.

Their body didn't really need food but since he can taste food now, he'll eat and eat til he gets tired of it.

"Oh? I thought you don't eat" Sans says

"I can taste food! So I am going to eat." Rimuru argues

"Makes sense." Sans says with a shrug, he observed the area noticing something and then adds "The goblins are looking for food?"

"

Yeah, I there will be a feast later since I can now taste food." Rimuru simply states as if it was the obvious, which probably is.

"Well looks like somebody is gorging early." Sans teases, Rimuru just brushed it off easily.

Afterwards Rimuru went off with Ranga
