It's definitely odd on how i may or may not kill Sans in the story.. Oh well... I definitely like terrible endings.

I swear school is definitely getting out of hand i mean it's definitely burning me out. It doesn't help the fact that I'm basically drowned in tasks and projects a week in.

The party of adventurers stayed for the night just like what Rimuru had offered them. One thing though, Sans was forced to attempt to cook.

It did not end well.

It was a disaster. Luckily Rimuru managed to get everything under control before the fire managed to spread. They witnessed the logic-defying act of the water catching on fire.

The food-or if you can call it that...was inedible, it was basically a health hazard; with so potent of a concoction that it literally ate away the container. It looked like normal food though, but certainly did not smell like it, or textured like normal food. If they were planning an assassination, Sans's food would've easily sufficed, so long as they masked the gut-wrenching smell.

Rimuru did not know that it was even possible to have this much of an inability to cook to the point of defying logic. Rimuru doesn't even dare to touch it, let alone eat it. But they have a gut feeling that he might as well meet someone that will not only create more monstrosities but force him to eat one. That thought alone sends shivers to his spine.

Would he be even able to meet someone who's even worse than this guy? Hopefully not.

Rimuru stared as the burned up tent, feeling as if they'll be subjected to fire not too long after this. Sans was sleeping in what looks like a box at the moment. They do not know where did that box come from nor why does it smell like ketchup.

Well then what's done is done.

The adventures from yesterday are already packing their things. Readying for departure. After all it's already the next day, so they're just about to leave. Sans was doing what he usually does which is to laze around

Shizu apparently wasn't going back to Blumund and was just about to go the separate way.

Then all of the sudden, Shizu seems to be struggling...?

"Shizu..?" Eren asks worriedly as she turned to Shizu

"No... Not now."Shizu says as she suddenly acts as if she's slowly going out of control

"Hey, are you okay?!" Kaval asks worriedly, cautiously approaching Shizu

"Shizu!?" Eren asks as Shizu suddenly erupts in flames.

The sky grows dark clouds in the surrounding the area. A huge blast of fire shook the ground bursting forth a tremendous amount of heat.

As Shizu suddenly erupted in flames, everyone in the area was pushed back, effectively toppling their balance. Smoke covered the ground only for it to be immediately blown back by the intensive force that gushed out.
Once their visual perception cleared their eyes drifted to Shizu, still attempting fixate themselves.

"Hey! Are you guys okay?" Rimuru questions as they looked ahead to the others because he was blown off further because of their weight

"What the hell?! We'd better getting hazard pay for this..." Kaval shouts being taken aback by the sudden burst of flames

"Seriously, tell that to Guildmaster Fuze, not me!" Gido quips back in annoyance

"Well that's certainly an interesting priority" Sans says as he touches Kaval's back from which he just arrived using a shortcut

"Gah! I didn't notice you were here" Kaval says in shock as he quickly whipped his head around

"Well it's certainly pretty much blazin over here, huh?" Sans says as he blazed a path via a bone through the fire while casually shrugging to himself

"Sans this is the time for puns!" Rimuru scolded, turning to Shizu

"Shizu! Shizu!" Eren says as she looks at the levitating body of Shizu

"Shizu... Shizue Izawa?!" Kaval says in realization surprisingly able to piece his evidences out

"Don't tell me... The Conquerer of Flames!?" Gido says in hasty realization as he started up to the menacing figure engulfed in flames

"Shizu...is that Conquerer of Flames who was in the adventure's guild 50 years ago!? Shizu is her?" Eren says, disbelief audible through the tone of her voice

"Isn't she supposed to be retired?" Kaval questions, although no one really payed attention it as they were preoccupied with the ever-growing flames engulfing the dim-litted sky

"Rigur, Rigurd. Go evacuate the villagers" Rimuru commands the two goblins

"But...!" Rigurd says with uncertainty

"Great Rimuru...!" Rigur says worriedly as he wants to support Rimuru in this fight.

"This is an order." Rimuru commanded, their voice firm and authoritative.

"Understood. At your command" The two goblins says as the both of them disperse.

"Ranga, you there?" Rimuru says to the environment aware of the chance that Ranga might be simply observing from the shadows.

There was no conversing, so Sans immediately knew that it's one of those mind conversations again. He can't really listen to 'em. Although, based on Rimuru's own slimy movements it's seems like Ranga is in fact present.

The mask from Shizu flew off it was cracked and a bit wrecked but still wearable and usable. Shizu's eyes were welling up tears that immediately evaporated to steam because of the sheer temperature of the fire that started to engulf her. She was covered in fire as a final blast came out and the fire spirit, Ifrit took form. The spirit let out a domineering shout as if to flaunt his capabilities of materializing in his very own form.

"The fire spirit:Ifrit." Kaval says warily and in shock

"There's no mistaking it; Shizu is..." Gido says as he affirms his original suspicions

"The legendary champion, the Conquerer of Flames" Eren says nerve-wrackingly as she stared at the spirit dumbfoundedly and then added "H-how are we supposed to beat that" Clutching her staff tightly.

"No way... We're all going to die here. What a short life it was" Gido says, pessimistic and self-wallowing, its seems like he's given up already

"Hey don't be so blue, ya need some red. We'll cinder down to the ground quickly" Sans says replacing the words 'send her' to 'cinder' since it sounds quite alike. Sans just used his telekinesis to shove the Fire spirit down to the ground

The party of Adventurers just stare at the spirit question on how in the world was sans capable of doing that to someone so...humongous.

"Nice one Sans!" Rimuru says, facing Sans, ignoring the previous pun that was told by the other.

"You could say that it was pretty sansational" Sans says inserting a pun

Rimuru just simply shot a disapproving look since Sans is making puns mid fight and opts to re-focus to the Fire sprit

The enemy stood up afterwards as the shifted gravity only subdued the Spirit temporarily as it fade out

Ifrit suddenly let out another shout leaving a wide ranged aoe attack. Sans just simply hid behind Kaval's sheild. Although Rimuru certainly isn't affected by it, since they have so little weight to begin with.

Ifrit then created three more annoying enemies to deal with. Albeit it was obviously weaker that Ifrit himself.

"You three, run!" Rimuru says as he fully plans to fight them alone

Sans just follows his eye to the three.

The three adventurers stood firm and held their ground, it doesn't seem like they're planning to leave at all. The three readied their weapons in preparation of an oncomming attack that may catch them off guard

"no can do. I don't know why she's suddenly attacking us-" Kaval says, as he readies himself for an attack. The other members of the party does the same with a determined look on their face

"But she's our comrade in arms!" Gido continues, fixating himself further bracing for an attack

"We can't just leave hear like this!" Errn says as she raises her staff into a defensive position

The little fire summons finally started moving and attacking them. The party shifted to a more defensive position

"Okay, then... Will you guys be fine though?" Rimuru says as he thought that these guys have hearts of gold

"Yeah! We're professional adventures after all!" Eren shouts to Rimuru with brimming confidence that they'll somehow push through

"Now, now, you should've left cool lines like that to your leader. Guess it's not the time for that. We'll take care of one of the little guys!" Kaval says, steadying his grip on his blade while backing up a bit too give some distance from Eren

"You heard 'em" Sans says, grinning widely as he starts up his own onslaught of attacks to be deployed

Ifrit left out a sickening chuckle as he starts attacking with the horse-looking beasts he summoned. Rimuru used water-blade but to no avail as it instantly evaporated.

Sans's own attacks manage to actually damage Ifrit itself although the bones ended up being cremated in the end but it's enough damage to cause Ifrit to wail in pain

Rimuru guessed that the bones flying seems to be two separate skills used as one meaning it'll be way harder for them to actually use it. Suddenly they saw Eren's attack actually working on the enemy and it actually seems normal enough, unlike Sans's.

They've obtained an idea, So they shouted to Eren "Aim it at me!"

"E-eh?! You sure?!" Eren says, seemingly taken aback and obviously sounding reasonably confused.

"Yeah, go ahead! Do it quick!" Rimuru says while moving atop Ranga avoiding the attacks along the way.

"Okay! but if this goes wrong don't blame me!!" Eren says as she shifts her staff towards Rimuru and attacking

To her outmost shock Rimuru ended up eating the attack instead, which shocked them absolutely.

"What?!" Eren says in disbelief.

Soon Rimuru went closer with Ganga using they're newfound skill 'Icicle shoot' to do actual damage against Ifrit

They concentrated, channeling their newly acquired ability to subdue the fire, trying to understand the nature of the flames engulfing Shizu. It was unlike any ordinary fire; it seemed to possess a will of its own, resisting Rimuru's attempts to extinguish it.

A blast went through. Blue light engulfing the sky and disappearing just as quickly. A beam of light coming from what looks like to be a skeletal head of a dragon.

"The hell is that?" Kaval questions as he looks to sky not realizing that Sans was no longer by his side.

"Uh, the skeleton is gone" Gido says as he comments on Sans's unprecedented vanishing.

Sans re-appeared at the top of the said Gaster Blaster riding it, clinging onto the eye sockets of the blaster to get a grip because he's going way too fast

Multiple bones gets summoned, inflicting damage to the spirit. Two of the salamanders gets pierced by the other bones Sans had summoned effectively destroying them quite quickly.
After all bones can only start to burn at a temperature of 600-800 °C, which definitely is more than enough time to do damage before the bones get cremated.

Rimuru was dealing with a Salamander in front of the the party of adventurers, but unexpectedly the Salamander switched directions and ran to the party. They were caught off guard and was attacked by a salamander, easily blowing them up.

Rimuru hurried to the three.

"Ranga! Take them to safety!" Rimuru ordered wishing to keep them safe and then added "I'll take care of Ifrit."

Sans who was keeping Ifrit at bay as the said sprit decided to summon multiple of himself, surrounding Rimuru in a circle.

Rimuru was immediately engulfed in the fire. It was pretty darn humongous as the spirit now faces Sans.

"Bud' I'd rather not get toasted, so get blasted at" Sans says as he shortcuts away from the blaster and into the fire Rimuru was in. He's a skeleton so he should be way more tolerable to fire.

In a second he immediately shortcuts out now having Rimuru in his hands.

"You good?" Sans questions the seemingly unharmed Rimuru. Although he doesn't really know if Rimuru got any damage after all their a slime.

"Good! Apparently, I'm immune to fire." Rimuru answers as he bounced off Sans's hands

"Oh.. So uh, that was basically pointless." Sans replies as he summons multiple bones

"When you put it that way... Basically yes." Rimuru replies, walking towards the spirit

Sans seems to observe how Rimuru interacted with the spirit. Can Rimuru somehow actually talk to the spirit? Probably... Well anyways since Rimuru is actually apparently immune to fire. It doesn't seem like the Spirit even has a single chance of winning at this point. Anyways Sans is pretty lucky that he didn't really wear his hoodie today, or else it'll be already reduced to ashes at this point

The spirit kept fighting with futile flames unable to damage Rimuru.

Then, Rimuru used their skill 'Predator' to devour the spirit. Sans recognized this as the same skill that managed to seal Veldora. This action officially ended the fight as Rimuru caught Shizu who was falling.

Slowly the sky starts to clear, revealing a beautiful blue sky. Marking the end of the fight

Dang... I uploaded this way later than I intended to.. Anyways that's the chapter.
School is getting more and more hellish as time passes by. And I absolutely don't like where it's going
