~The Next Day~
Inside of the Tokyo Branch Headquarters, Olivia was seen in her pink pajamas covered in kittens as she was drinking some black coffee and her hair was not in a ponytail. As she drunk her coffee, she began to think about the executioners Shiranui and Ochita have made her work with.

"Hayasaka Megumi, the same rank as me and she's only been in the organization for two years. She possesses a great amount of mana and definitely has experience in combat, however, even I can tell that she isn't completely human. Then again, as long as I'm around, I can handle her if she were to ever lose control."

Olivia put her coffee cup down as a sigh escaped from her face. After letting Megumi and Shiki rest, she checked the security footage only to find out that it was erased. So now, she was trying to think of what to do next. However, she still had distractions lingering in her mind.

"Koritsu Shiki........just recently joined our organization. Son of the exiled member of the organization, Koritsu Ayumu. And part of the branch family of the Nanaya clan, the former ace of the organization and one of the four major families. Could this be an act of revenge from Ayumu through the use of his son? Why is he S-Rank already when he doesn't even seem to be capable of something as basic as sensing mana."

"Olivia-san."

As Olivia turned around, she quickly rubbed her eyes a bit before looking at the young lady that called out to her. Olivia's tired brown eyes met with Megumi's blue eyes as Olivia couldn't help but admire how pretty the girl was.

"Hayasaka Megumi, good morning. Is there something that you need from me" Olivia asked as she took a sip of her coffee and motioned for Megumi to take a seat.

"It's about your theory you proposed yesterday. About how you believe someone of S-Rank and/or part of the four major families might be a traitor."

"Yes, I know that's a bold claim to make. If any of the suspects hear about this, I'll be in deep shit. That's wh-"

"You're suspecting that Shiki is the traitor, aren't you?"

Olivia put down her coffee mug as she looked at Megumi in her eyes. Both girls were gazing at each other's eyes as they tried to read the other's thoughts through observation. With a sigh escaping her lips, Olivia simply shrugged.

"Of course I do. He's a new recruit, yet he's already an S-Rank Executioner in under a damn business week. Then I learn his father just so happened to me be someone exiled from the organization. Not to mention, he just so happen to have some relation to an almost forgotten cla-"

"I don't give a rat's ass about how convenient it is to suspect him" Megumi said with a stern tone in her voice. "Despite being in a forced situation, despite how we treated him at first, he was still brave enough to tackle an unreasonable first mission and risked his life in the process. I don't give a damn if your authority outweighs mine, the moment you try anything funny with him with no clear evidence......"

Suddenly, Olivia jumped back from the table Megumi and herself were sitting at as it was instantly split in half as sparks were seen dancing around it. Before Olivia could look at her, Megumi was behind the executioner with her hand on top of Olivia's head.

"........I won't hesitate to take you and this entire damn branch down myself."

"Heh. Hahahahaha" Olivia laughed uncontrollably as she received the threat from Megumi. This girl knew she was outclassed in every manner, but she also knew Olivia couldn't afford to lose her or Shiki until after this mission was over. "I like you even more, Hayasaka Megumi. Fine then, I'll play your little game. For now, I'll scratch the bastard off my suspect list. But the moment I feel he's responsible for all this, his head is mine. Now excuse me as I have something important to go discuss with him."

~Later~
Shiki was seen sitting on his bed as he held his knife in his right hand. His mind began to drift to the time he first met Shiranui. For some reason, he just couldn't get that meeting out of his head ever since he was discharged from the hospital.

"What was that feeling? Ouma Shiranui, I talked to them normally like I do with most people. Then why did I react the way I did and held glass near their throat like I was going to kill them?"

What was going on with him? That question circled in Shiki's mind over and over. The urges he felt when coming face to face with creatures he never met before felt as if they were trying to consume him. As the boy held his knife, dark thoughts entered his mind. The way his knife felt when he killed Merkava. The rush he felt when he first killed a ghoul. Even when he felt like he was going to kill Shiranui.

"This is messed up. I never really thought about it, but.......why AM I enjoying this? Why does my heart race with such excitement knowing how it felt to take a life?"

Soon Shiki heard someone knocking on the door to the room he was staying in. As he tucked away his knife and opened the door, he saw Oliva waiting for him as she was in her suit and tie while her hair was in a waist-long low ponytail.

"Olivia-Senpai......."

"Shiranui Ouma summoned for my presence in regards to letting the heads of the Demon Hunter Organization know about the alliance between the Tokyo Branch and the Holy Church. Unfortunately, Hayasaka Megumi and yourself will have to watch over the place whilst I go visit them at headquarters."

While he was listening to Olivia speak to him, Shiki could feel the animosity that Olivia had towards him through her tone of voice. With a sigh escaping from his lips, Shiki looked at his senior with a serious expression on his face.

"So what's your beef with me?"

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me, Olivia-Senpai. I'm not dumb enough to ignore when someone obviously has a problem with me. If we're working together, it's best we squash any beef we have for the moment and get the job do-"

Before Shiki could finish his sentence, he felt something fly by his head as the wall to the room he was in broke apart as the debris hits the floor. When he looked at Olivia, he saw the girl had her index finger extended and aimed at the destroyed wall.

"Viktor von Degurechaff. In his efforts to find a cure for my brother's tuberculosis, he lost his humanity as his body and mind became that of a beast as he devoured my brother alive. So in an effort to turn him back to a human, I joined the Demon Hunter Organization to turn the beast Merkava back into Viktor."

"Merkava......... von Degurechaff....." Shiki's eyes slowly widen in horror as he realized what Olivia was saying. Her father was turned into the beast he knew as Merkava. All she wanted was her father back and not only did he rip her only goal away from her, he even killed her father himself. "Are you telling me......I killed a human?"

"I'll do as I am told by the Demon Hunter Organization. Thanks to you, this job is the only purpose I have left. I'll work with you if I have to, but know this. I will NEVER acknowledge my father's killer. Therefore, I will never acknowledge you. May your sins follow you to the depths of hell, Koritsu Shiki."
