~Three days later~
Megumi and Shiki were seen dashing through a veil of trees as numerous arrows made of mana were raining down upon them from a distance. As this happened, Olivia was seen holding a light-blue colored bow that was roughly as tall as her with four long prongs and two spikes extending from the center as she stood on top of a cliff.

"Megumi, do you have it on you?"

"Of course I do, Shiki! Time to show Olivia just how dangerous we executioners from Sendai really are", Megumi smirked as she reached into her chest and grabbed a vial with red liquid inside of it. As the girl pulled the cork out and drunk what was inside of it, her eyes began to glow red as her arms and legs were covered in purple lightning as they took on the form of clawed gauntlets and greaves as horns made of lightning protrude from her head.

~Flashback~
"You want me to let Megumi-Senpai drink my blood again?"

That was the first question that exits Shiki's mouth as he listened to Olivia's request. After the attack on the Tokyo Branch, Olivia decided to get started with training Megumi and Shiki. After hearing what happened to them that night, she decided to use the aftermath to everyone's advantage.

"Yes, Megumi got stronger after drinking blood, correct? So it would be helpful if she had a small amount on her at all times. Plus, it could also keep her bloodlust in check for a while if she ever does begin to hunger again. This can also help her in her training", Olivia stated as she began to drink some black tea.

"Well...I guess it's better than having her bite my neck constantly. But why did you specifically call out Megumi in regards to training. Weren't you suppose to help both of us", Shiki asked Olivia as he drunk his own cup of tea that Olivia prepared for him.

"I was originally going to have you go through a rite that would help you form a contract with Asuramaru, but it seems you already did that during your battle last night. However, aside from that, there are two major problems that prevent me from training you. I am not a swordswoman, I couldn't teach you how to properly wield one for the life of me. Secondly, in terms of physical strength, you are far more superior in that regard than me. The only thing I could teach you is how to use magic properly."

"But I don't have any man-"

Shiki's eyes widen the moment he understood what Olivia was implying. How could she train someone about magic if they didn't even have mana? The answer was that she couldn't. Shiki clenched his hands as he looked at Olivia the moment he realized this fact.

"Are you saying that this is as far as I can go?"

"No. I'm saying i'm just not the right teacher for you. Until we find one, you'll have to find your own way to evolve."

~Flashback ends~
Just as Olivia was about to fire another volley of arrows, she suddenly jumped high in the air as she avoided getting kicked in the gut by Megumi. Seeing this, Megumi spun her body as her feet landed on a nearby tree. Soon she used the tree as a platform to launch herself towards Olivia. Just as Megumi was going to claw at Olivia, she suddenly saw a Black Key flying towards her.

Seeing this, Megumi caught the thrown projectile as she crushed it in her hand. The moment this happened, Olivia was seen jumping over Megumi as she launched a volley of arrows made of mana at the girl. Megumi screamed in pain as she found herself trapped in a hail of arrows. As this happened, Olivia lands on the ground as she stopped her assault, looking at Megumi face flat on the ground as her wounds from being pierced by the arrows were healing at an incredible rate.

"You're fast, but you're relying too much on close comba after gaining your newfound strength from your vampiric side. With the way your lightning magic works, you could switch between being a melee fighter or a ranged one just like me at the drop of a dime. As for you Shiki-"

Suddenly Olivia turned around as she used her right arm to block a slash from Shiki and the cursed treasure, Asuramaru, as she felt the ground beneath her caving in from the impact and forming a small crater. Just as she did, Shiki saw the sleeve on Oliva's right arm was torn and he saw blue circuit-like markings as he noticed he didn't even shed a drop of blood.

"You have incredible physical abilities, but without your Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, you can only rely on Asuramaru for the moment. Shiki, you need to find another weapon that you can utilize even without your Mystic Eyes or a cursed treasure."

"What the hell would that be since I don't have any magic", Shiki thought to himself as he puts Asuramaru back into its sheathe after his attack failed. As he did, both Megumi and himself were walking back inside of the Tokyo Branch headquarters. Olivia let a sigh escape from her lips as she took out her phone and began to call someone.

~In Sendai~
As he was sitting in the sanctuary, Ochita reached into his pocket as he heard his phone ringing. After seeing the identification of the caller, Ochita answered his phone as he looked towards the cross inside of the church.

"Hello, Olivia von Degurechaff. How are Megumi-san and Koritsu-kun?"

"Megumi is doing rather well in her training. I can say with confidence that by the end of it, she could give me a run for my money if i'm slacking."

"I see. Given how you only mentioned Megumi-san, you were unable to produce much results with Koritsu-kun."

"......"

"That's fine for now. He needs to return to Sendai anyways since he still has school to attend to. The only reason he stuck around so long was due to it being the weekend along with a holiday playing a part in this."

"I'm sorry, Ochita-san."

After hearing Olivia apologize, Ochita heard his phone hanging up. As the man stood up and walked towards the altar, he began to think to himself. Recently things have been getting rather hectic.

"An unknown group collecting mana and cursed treasures, Shiranui's obsession with Ayumu's son, and reports of an assassin striking down places that were rumored to have hosted cursed treasures. Just what in the world is going on?"

~Meanwhile~
Tomogashima, a cluster of four islands in the Inland Sea off of Wakayama, Japan. The four islands consisting of Jinoshima, Kamishima, Okinoshima, and Torajima. On the island known as Jinoshima, one creature was seen alone near the ocean.

The creature resembled a wolf big enough to be comparable to a small building. Its fur was a deep, dark red resembling the color of blood with a ridge of black fur running down from its back to its tail. It had a hugely twisted mouth, pointed ears, and sharp claws. As all six eyes of the beast were closed, it could be seen chewing on something as blood dripped from its fangs. When it was done, it spat out what seemed to be a human arm from its mouth.

While this happened, from high up on a cliff, a young girl looked in horror as she saw this beast. Soon the girl turned around and ran towards her village as she knew what the beast devouring a human meant. The ceremony was close at hand, the offering to the Beast of Jinoshima was to be offered soon.
