He looked at you with a bit of shock. His eyes wavered between ink and his dark orbs.
"I'm gonna sound crazy, but I think we have more in common than just the tattoos. And don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about."
Your voice was cracking, beads of sweat ran down your forehead. Your eyes stared into his with such emotion.
He sighed softly. He got his thoughts together.
"Okay, you're right. To answer your question, a maze. Only people who have the demon thing connected to them go to the maze. We can discuss that later, for now, I know you needed me for something. What is it."
A weary smile spreads across your face. While on his, a forever frown is there.
"I just need you to back me up when we get there."
He sighs looking to the side, then back at you.
"Where?"
::::::::
Your skin crawls as you make your way towards the back doors. You've been involved for quite some time so you know schedules already. Getting in should be no problem. You jiggle the handle just a little bit and the door opens almost immediately. Not very good on security reasons, but it comes in handy. Josiah gently closes the door, not wanting to attract anyone.
Josiah softly grips your shoulders. He pulls you to his chest and whispers in your ear.
"If I'm gonna help, we need a game plan...no we need to take risks."
You stood still, and thought for a moment.
Risks. If you think about it, this is basically gambling. The only thing you could lose are your lives. No matter how you looked at it, no matter the angle, your lives were on the line.
All you had to do was play your cards right. Observation was going to be your best friend. You both slid your way into the darkness, staying close to each other. Your eyes dart all over your surroundings, looking for where they have to be.
That's when it clicked. The only place he could be. You take the lead and go to the one room that holds memories.
:::::::
I open the door to the "Parts and Services" room. Josiah and I slowly slip in and gently close the door. I had already felt something was off.
"Goldie..are you here?"
I hear a couple gasps. I hear footsteps come near me and I then felt arms wrap around me. I knew this warmth as I had felt it many times before. My arms immediately wrapped around him.
I stared a bit harder and I could see Chica and Freddy. I ran to them both and hugged them as tight as I could. I helped them up and we all gathered towards the door. Though, I knew something wasn't right.
I wanted to go out there and see for myself what is now there. However, he has to know we're here. Right? Perhaps I'm overthinking. As far as I can guess, there's a one in five chance one of us will get caught, one way or another.
So, maybe Russian Roulette? I turn to look at the other four.
"One of is gonna have to take a risk. One of us won't make it out of here. Just hope you're lucky."
We discuss who is going first. The plan is to wait five minutes in between leaving the room. That should be enough time to get the hell out. Then we'll just have to see who is missing.
I was fourth to go. I cautiously slipped out the door. I slid my way through the halls. However, I felt myself step on a foot. My breath hitched as I looked up into a pair of confused eyes. I felt my whole body shake, a pain shot through my stomach. I'm not sure if it's just the fact that I was scared, or the fact that my symptoms kicked in, but I fainted.
:::::::
I slowly opened my eyes. I quickly jolted up, only to see a gold bunny sitting a few feet from me. There were a couple books in his space. Not even a couple, the more I looked, the more I could see. Magazines, novels, everything.
He looked up at me, his eyes were a bit different this time. Before, confusion swirled it's way through. Now, this is concentration.
"Sit back down."
His voice sounded so disoriented, yet I could pin point it from somewhere else. I just can't put my finger on it. I sat down and discreetly looked over my surroundings.
"From what I understand, Russian Roulette is not the same without a gun."
I think back as hard as possible, I realize I were right. If my suspension is correct, this is a game approach. Could he see this as a game?
I look the man over, dry blood could be seen on him. Why dry blood? The only other animatronic was a spring-lock suit. My heart rate speeds up a bit. This is the guy. No, it's just a part of him. Is that why the feel is different? Is he in control for now?
Then that makes sense if he sees this as a game. Compared to him, we really are just children.
We're just children who are in way over their heads.
:::::::
"What the hell are you talking about?!"
Mike went on a rampage. When it was brought to his attention that you were left behind, he flipped his shit. In his mind, everything was at stake. The future for the three of you and the less life threatening obstacles you would face.
The more detail that we're given, the more nothing made any sense. For example, as much as Freddy wanted you to be in his corner, he let you just stay there. Chica, someone who was cared for her since the beginning, didn't try to talk to her. Goldie, a past boyfriend who still very much wants her, let her take the risk.
If this is how the game's rules are going to be set, it's time to break the fucking rules.
