SANGINI – A NEW BEGINNING! CHAPTER 84

Recap – RagSan prepone the marriage…

The episode starts in a guest house where the Maheshwari’s and Gadodia’s have reached. RagSan and Dada-Dadi were also present there. It was Abhay’s Dad’s guesthouse so he was also there. He had arranged everything from their comfortable stay to all the functions. Sujata, Addy and Pari were all chirpy and excited. Swara was down due to morning sickness and also was having weird feelings.
Abhay : so I have everything prepared. Tonight it’ll be sangeet and mehndi ceremony. So everyone be ready at 7 pm.
Sujata : chore, have you called the mehndi wali?
Abhay : ji aunty, I have called the best one in delhi, don’t worry.
Sujata : je na hui toh thari khair na chore…
Abhay sighs.
Uttara : relax Mom, I’m sure Abhay has everything handled.
Sujata ( sarcastically ) : haan thare ko sab pata hai..
Uttara rolled her eyes at Suji and looked at Abhay. Ragini looked at her and sighed.
Ragini ( thinks ) : oh God.. no… I just hope I’m overthinking.
Shekhar : Ragini… you too stay with us… uske baad toh tune chale hi jana hai…
Ragini came out of her thoughts hearing this. She looked at Sanskaar who shrugged. She glared at him.
Ragini : ji, Papa.

Ragini was getting for the function when her phone beeped. It was a whatsapp voice note from an unknown number. She ignored it but then it beeped again and then again.
She sighed and started the recordings.

VN: suna hai shadi hai tumhari…. Itna matt socho na tyar ho… shadi hone nahi wali tumhari…
Ragini felt weird hearing this.
VN2: meri baat maano, mana kar do shadi ke liye.. isi mein tumhari bhalai hai…
VN3: aur ise mazak matt samjhna…
Ragini : what the hell? Who’s doing this?
She again played the recording trying to recognize the voice but of no use.
Ragini : damn it. Uff.. ragini, relax. It’s just a stupid prank.
She takes deep breathes to relax her mind. She looks in the mirror and sets her hair. Shomi and Dadi comes there to take her. Dadi puts a kala tika behind her ear. Shomi kisses her on the forehead.
Shomi : kitni pyari lag rahi hai meri Ragu.
Ragini smiles. She tired to erase those voices from her mind but couldn’t. they all go down to the hall. Everyone was already present there. Sanskaar couldn’t take his eyes off Ragini. she looked at him and blushed. She took everyone’s blessings and they both seated in the middle couch. Abhay went up on stage and took charge.
Abhay : welcome everyone to the sangeet and mehndi ceremony of our beloved Ragini and Sanskaar!!! To be honest, sanskaar ke liye mujhe thoda toh bura lag raha hai…. Becahara abb fass jo raha ahai hamesha ke liye… ( everyone laughs ) par Khushi bhi hai ki abb mere bhai ke pas koi hai jo use kabhi nahi chodegi…. ( RagSan look at each other and smile ) vaise Khushi se yaad aaya…. Tum dono ne hum sabko surprise diya toh abb hamari baari hai…

The lights go out. Everyone whispers.

Kehte hai shadi karne ka koi sahi waqt nahi hota… jab karlo tabhi se tumhara bura waqt shuru ho jata hai…. Sanskaar mere bhai… tujhe thode din akela kya choda tune itna bada jhol kar diya.. are mujhse hi kuch sikh leta….. khair abb decide kar hi liya hai toh koi ni…. Shadi se pehle thodi… battameezi ho jaye……

Sanskaar looks on excited while Ragini feels little tinkles in her stomach in the dark. Her fears shoo away as the lights turn on and she sees Arnav coming through the dark. She and Sanskaar jumped and hugged him.
Arnav starts dancing on Battameez Dil and is later joined by Khushi. They both dance. Everyone claps for them and enjoys.

Sanskaar again hugged him after he finished and Ragini hugged Khushi.
Ragini : when did you guys came back?
Khsuhi : pooja called and told us that you have preponed so we quickly came.
Arnav : tumhari shadi ke chakkar mein mera honeymoon aadha reh gaya…
Khushi hits him with her elbow. Everyone chuckles.
Sanskaar : saale puri zindagi padhi hai tere pas….
Ragini : I’m so glad you guys could make it.
Khushi : come on Ragini… how could we miss it.
Arnav : aur hamara aana toh banta hai na…akhir agar hum dono nahi hote toh tum dono ka kya hi hota…
Ragini blushes.
Sanskaar : kuch na kuch toh ho hi jata bhai….
They share a hearty laugh. Arnav and Khushi greets everyone. The function continues with everyone dancing, eating and enjoying. Ragini excuses herself to go to the washroom.

Her heart starts pacing as she sees more messages from the same unknown number.
“I told you to stop the marriage but you didn’t listened. I’m mad now. And when I’m mad I do terrible things. You’re getting my point, right?”
Ragini’s hands were shaking reading this. Swara knocks on the door due to which the phone fell down from Ragini’s hand.
Swara : Ragini, are you okay?
Ragini : y-yes… yes, Swara. Every.. everything is fine.
She comes outside and sees a worried Swara.
Ragini : are you fine? You look worried?
Swara : yes, Ragini. actually Laksh just went somewhere in the middle of the function.
Ragini : what? Where?
Swara : I don’t know. He got a call and left.
Ragini : don’t worry he’ll come.
Swara : yeah. What’s with you? Why are you tensed?
Ragini : no everything is fine.
Her phone vibrates continuously. She sees the new messages were from the same number. Swara noticed fear and tension on her face.
Swara : who is messaging you at this time? Is everything okay? Ragini, tell me.
Ragini : no..nothing swara. It’s from the office group. Come lets go…
Saying so she took Swara outside. Everyone insisted Ragini to dance. She dance on Makhna whole heartedly. Sanskaar smiled seeing her. Swara kept on calling Laksh but he didn’t answered her calls.
Rp – Suji and Shekhar – Shomi danced next on retro tracks.

Sanskaar ( whispers ) : Ginu, are you okay?
Ragini : yes, why?
Sanskaar : are you worried about something/? Tell me.
Ragini : nothing Sansku, everything is fine.
She takes a deep breath. Sanskaar goes from there and says something in Adarsh and Abhay’s ears. They smile and pats him on the back. The mehndi girls come and arranges everything. Sujata applies the shagun ki mehndi on Ragini’s hand after which the girls continued. Ragini was tensed but didn’t wanted to show. She looks for Sanskaar. The music starts, Pari and Pooja crosses each other, lip syncing.

Maahi Ve… Maahi Ve….

Adarsh and Abhay joins them. Uttara and Swara feel sad, for different reasons. Uttara for seeing chemistry between AbhayPoo and Swara because nobody bothered to include her.

Sanskaar comes from Ragini’s behind and held her face by her chin. Ragini looks on surprised.

Abhay flirts with Pooja.

Abhay, Pooja, Sanskaar, Pari and Adarsh dance together.

Sanskaar sits on one side of Ragini and compliments her using hand gestures.

Tere gaal gulaabi rabba rabba
Chaal sharaabi rabba rabba
Dil ki kharaabi rabba rabba tu soniye

Abhay sits on the other side. Ragini nods her head in disbelief. She smiles.

Jind maahi ve soni soni aaja maahi ve

They all dance forming a circle around Ragini. she feels blessed.

Barse rangini kaliyaan hai maheki bheeni bheeni
Baje mann mein halke halke shehnaai re

She gets up and moves forwards towards Sanskaar. He smiles.

Jitne hain taarein aanchal mein aa gaye saare
Dil ne jaise hi li angdaayi re
Pooja and Pari hugs her from either side. Adarsh wipes the lone tear which escaped her eye.

Sanskaar and Abahy pulled them and they all danced together. Ragini forgot all about the messages.

Dadi keeps her hand on Ragini’s head as she sat again for the mehndi. Ragini looks at her with glassy eyes.

O khushiyaan jitni hain, sab dhoond dhoondke laaoon
Teri doli ke sang kar doon saari re
Teri doli ke sang kar doon saari re

Shomi continues. Swara also hugs her.

Everyone dances around Ragini. the function continued with dancing and festivities.

It was midnight but Ragini was far away from sleeping. She tried to call at unknown number but it was switched off. She came out in the corridor to take a walk when she saw Laksh coming in a not so fine state. She went towards him.
Ragini : Laksh, are you fine?
Laksh looked at her weirdly and started walking. Ragini followed him.
Ragini : are you drunk? Where were you? Do you know how much Swara was worried?
Laksh : why are you worried? I know how to handle Swara..
Ragini holds his hand and turns him.
Ragini : excuse me? Handle? Do you know what you’re saying?
Laksh : o hello. I don’t need to learn from you. Modern ho gayi toh iska matlab yeh nahi kuch bhi bologi…
Ragini : are you out of your mind? Tell me where you were?
Laksh jerks her hand and starts walking towards his room. Ragini looks on.
Ragini : I don’t know but is Laksh behind those messages? But why will he do that? What will he get?
She goes towards him as he starts banging the door of his room. Swara opens the door after some time. Laksh enters the room, pushing swara. Ragini holds Swara’s hand and takes her outside.
Ragini : Swara, is everything fine between you guys?
Swara looks down. Ragini hugs her and takes her to her room.
Swara : I don’t know Ragini but he’s behaving differently.
Ragini : did you guys had any fight or argument?
Swara nods no. she was about to cry but controlled herself.
Swara : don’t mind me Ragini, but since he has seen you as this strong independent Ragini…. he… he’s behaving differently. He talks about you and how you’ve changed and all that. It’s like you’re his new obsession.
She said in a low tone with hesitation. She looked at Ragini thinking she’ll be angry but she was lost in thoughts. She shook her.
Swara : Ragini, I’m sorry if you felt bad but…
Ragini : No swara…. Look now I’m going to tell you something but you have to promise me that you’ll not share this with anyone.
Swara : I promise. What is it?
Ragini : and now you don’t take me wrong but before the function I got these messages from unknown number. Do you think that maybe Laksh is playing this prank? Or is he behind this? I know you have a detective brain so….
She shows Swara the messages and recordings. Swara was shocked to see those.
Swara : but Ragini, why will he do this?
Ragini : swara, you only said that I’m becoming his obsession and all. Remember when I was obsessed with him and I tried to break his marriage with you, whom he loved? So if I can do that then it’s no big deal for him.
Swara was stunned hearing this.
Swara : Ragini, what are you saying??? Are you out of your mind? How can you even think like that?
Ragini : swara, I’m not blaming him but there’s a possibility. See he went out and never returned to the function and during that duration I got so many messages.
Swara : I don’t believe this. My Lucky will never do anything like that.

She huffs and goes from there. Ragini sighs and holds her head. The episode ends on her tensed face.
