SANGINI – A NEW BEGINNING! CHAPTER 78

Recap – hot night.....................

And finally the sun rose, filling the sky with shades of orange and pink. Peach and magenta, amber and rose, radiating hope, a new beginning. Another chance to live, to love. The start of a brand new day.

Both our love birds were sleeping like babies in each others embrace. Ragini's back was facing him and he, without leaving any space in between them was embracing Her FROM behind. His face was in her nape. There was darkness in the room with only slight sunlight coming from drawn curtains. Sanskaar nuzzled near her ear making her move in her sleep. She pushes him a little.

Ragini : yaar give me some space... it's so hot...

Sanskaar moves a side and turns to the opposite side, spreading his legs over hers. Ragini,, couldn't bear the weight of his legs so she first struggled to get her legs out and then she kept her legs on his. Sanskaar switched on the AC which he had turned off earlier. Ragini again cuddled into him.

Pooja was awake and was trying Ragini's number from 15 minutes. She was tensed.

Pooja : oh God di.. why haven't you reached yet? Dadi will come anytime to call us. Please pick up the phone.

She keeps on trying. Then she calls Abhay for help. He was living in MM only. After 3 rings he finally picks up the call.

Pooja : hey abhay listen to me carefully....

Abhay ; arre.. what is this behaviour poo? No good morning/? No kisses? Straight away order?

Pooja : uff... nautanki... good morning abhay.... now listen to me....

Abhay huffs and gets up rubbing his eyes but has a smile on.

Abhay : tell me sweetheart...

Pooja : abhay, Ragu bhabhi is with sanskaar bhai...

Abhay : yes she is with him. yesterday only they got engaged, poo... what's wrong with you?

Pooja : offo abhay, first listen to me... she went to MM yesterday night to meet bhai and has not returned till now. She took Shekhar uncle's car. She's not picking up my calls. So now you go to their room and wake them up.

Abhay : o bhaisaab.... this sanky is more harami then i thought. I like this sneaking and peaking. Poo, promise me we'll also do this stuff.

Pooja : abhay are you even listening? Ragini di is not here and dadi will come any moment to wake her up.. what will i say? And what if anyone finds out that di was with bhai the whole night? Are you getting my point?

Abhay : holy sh*t...

Pooja : finally... now go fast but do it carefully. And call me as soon as she leaves. I'll handle here,...

Abhay : okay i'll go....

Ragini and Sanskaar are still sleeping. The ice cream kept on the table has melted completely, the tea cups are lying here and there and so are Ragini's clothes which she kept in open to dry.

Abhay comes out of his room and looks out in the hall from behind the pillar to see if anybody was around. He sighs seeing no one around. He starts to move when someone taps his shoulder from behind. He freezes at his place with eyes wide open. He slowly turns back and gives an awkward smile to Uttara, who was looking at him confused.

Uttara : what are you doing? Why were you sneaking?

Abhay : me? No...

Uttara : abhay? Are you looking for someone? Do you need anything?

Abhay nods no and turns the other side. He looks at Sujata who was going upstairs. He runs to go but uttara stops him.

Uttara : now where are you running?

Abhay : okay. First you have to stop asking me questions okay? And i'm not running anywhere... you go and do your work...

He sighs and goes from there. Uttara looks on sadly. She twisted her lips and goes from there.

Abhay runs behind sujata but she has already started banging Sanskaar's room door. Abhay face palm himself.

Abhay : aunty what happened? Why are you beating the door?

Sujata : ae chore what are you saying?

Abhay : no i just meant it's only 7am. Why are you waking sanky up?

Sujata : arre we have to go to temple. Ragini's family will also be there and then you all have to leave also. Yesterday he slept late.

Abhay ( murmurs ) : of course... late hi soega.. pehle rang raliyan toh mana le....

Sujata : what? What did you said?

Abhay ; umm.. nothing... you go i'll wake him up.

Sujata : no.. you go and get fresh. You'll also come with us.

Abhay ( shouts so that sanskaar or ragini would hear him ) : but SUJATA AUNTY... WHAT WILL I DO THERE?

Sujata ; why are you shouting? I'm standing here only.

She said while rubbing her ears. Abhay grins but sujata sees him and beats him.

Sujata : you naughty boy... you are making fun of me.... now go from here... run...

She hits him until he goes from there.

Abhay : sanky bro, you'll pay for this. Khamkha i got beaten up from YOUR mom for protecting YOU. HUHH.....

He storms to his room and calls Pooja.

Abhay : Poo... sujata aunty ruined the plan. Now she's banging sanskaar's door and god knows what they are doing inside.

Pooja : oh god abhay. Dadi is also calling us down but i haven't replied her. She thinks that we are still sleeping. She's really angry.

Abhay : of course she'll be. We all have to go to temple to pray and these two idiots are doing their own kind of worship.

Pooja : lets see now........

There sujata is still banging the door. Everyone comes there hearing her shouts.

Swara : chachi ji.. what happened? Why are you shouting?

Sujata : arre sanskaar is not opening the door. I'm calling him from 15 minutes.

Adarsh : chachi... you go down and prepare for pooja. I and lucky will get him.

The ladies go down. Adarsh and laksh try sanskaar's number.

Hearing banging sounds and loud noises, Ragini wakes up and rubbing her ears. She looks around and smiles remembering the night. She gives a quick kiss on his cheek. He hugs her.

"but SUJATA AUNTY... WHAT WILL I DO THERE?"

They hear Abhay's voice from outside followed by Sujata's. They come out of their dream world and gets up, startled. Ragini looks at her phone which was on silent. She hits her forehead.

Ragini ( whispers ) : shit. Sanskaar... it's 7:10... pooja's 24 missed calls. This is the end sanskuu....

She cries. Sanskaar signs her to keep quiet. He walks towards the window beside the door and looks outside. Sujata was beating Abhay. He chuckles but gets back to Ragini.

Sanskaar : ginu, quickly change your clothes and get going.

She nods and goes to washroom to change. He takes her phone and car keys. She comes out within 5 minutes. He hands over the phone and keys.

Sanksaar : now ginu... you have to go through the window...

Ragini : sansku? Are you out of your mind? This is not ground floor... and its higher than normal first floor. How will i ?

Sansaar : but ginu.. there's no other way.

He again looks outside and sighs looking at everyone. He makes a cry baby face and cups her pouty face.

Sanskaar : please ginu!!!! everyone is outside ginu... ek toh meri ma ko bhi chain nahi hai...

Ragini : eh.. shs... don't talk like that..

Sanskaar : lo bolo... generally saas bahu fights.. in your case it'll be opposite... saas and bahu together will take my class.

Ragini glares at him. he joins his hands.

Sanskaar : ginu please.. before they break the door and come inside you have to go out... okay wait....

He takes out bed sheets from the cupboard.

Ragini : what? You want to make tent from these?

Sanskaar : no a plane for you..

Ragini rolls her eyes. He takes three bed sheets and joins their ends tightly. Ragini gets his idea and moves to balcony followed by him. they look around to see if anyone is there. Finding their way clear, sanskaar throws the bed sheet rope down and ties it with the balcony grill.

Sanskaar : be careful ginu..

Ragini : you should have thought about this before calling me..

She stepped outside holding the rope.

Sanskaar ; as if you regret the night.

She blushes.

Ragini : not at all.

Saying so she pecks his lips and slides down the rope. Sanskaar looks at her surprised, brushing his hair. Ragini winks at him and reached the ground. She waves at him and signs him to pull up the sheets. He does while she runs towards the wall. She steps over the walls with the help of the partitions in the wall. ( the design of the wall is such ) she waves bye to him and jumps outside the mansion. Sanskaar sighs and quickly goes inside.

He keeps the bedsheets in the cupboard and opens the door, yawning and rubbing his eyes. Adarsh and Laksh pushes him inside again. He stops acting.

Adarsh : now tell us why you took so much time?

Sanskaar : i was sleeping bhai!

Laksh : bhai.. we all have been there...

He and adarsh chuckles. Sanskaar knew what they meant but still kept a straight face. He yawns again.

Sanskaaar ; whatever. Now you guys go. I'll come.

This time he pushes them out and closes the door. He immediately texts in the whatsapp group ( RagSan, ArShi and AbhayPoo )

Sanskaar : ginu, have you reached? Here situation is under control. Poo, has she reached?

Abhay : bhai but i'll not control myself when i'll see...

Pooja : di has not reached yet. And dadi will eat me if i don't open the door.

Khushi : what's happening guys?

Pooja : don't ask Khushi di... these love birds will get themselves in big trouble someday..

Abhay sends a voice note narrating everything. Sanskaar chuckles and goes to bath.

Ragini parks the car and comes running inside. She was panting. She sees dida and runs upstairs towards the backdoor. She quickly calls pooja to open the balcony door. Pooja does the same. Ragini jumps out from the lobby window and by walking on the chajja, she reaches her balcony and gets inside the room. Pooja sighs. Ragini holds her ears chanting "sorry".

Pooja : di first go and take bath, we'll talk later.

Ragini : oh i love you, Poo. Please take out the blue suit from my suitcase. I'll be back in 10 minutes. I love you,,..

She hugs her and runs inside the washroom. Pooja nods her head in disbelief and takes her clothes out. Dadi bangs the door.

Dadi : girls.. if you'll not open this damn door then you'll face the consequences.

Pooja opens the door. Dadi glares at her. She comes inside like a storm.

Dadi ; where is laado?

Pooja signs her towards washroom.

Dadi : why didn't you opened the door earlier?

Pooja signs that she was in the washroom and ragini was asleep. And now ragini is in washroom so i opened the door.

Dadi : you can speak right? Why are you doing actions?

Pooja holds her ears. Dadi looks at her with big eyes.

Dadi : hey khatushyam ji... what has happened to today's generation? When we want to them to speak they'll not otherwise their tongue will run like a scissor.

She holds her head and leaves the room.

Dadi ( shouts from outside ) ; come down in 10 minutes.

Pooja : okay dadi...

She smiles. Dadi nods her head in disbelief.

Ragini and Sanskaar along with all the other family members are sitting in front of Radha-Krishna idol in the temple.

Sujata : pandit ji. My children have got engaged yesterday. Please bless them and tell us the date for marriage.

RagSan smiles and blush hearing this. Everyone smiles. Pandit ji asks them to pray and donate in the donation box. They both stand and goes forward to pray.

"bhagwaan ji, please keep my sansku happy, always! And mine, forever! Keep our families happy and together. Kisi ki buri nazar na lage. Also, make his wish true."

"dear god, please always keep my ginu with me, happily. And please grant her wish. She believes in you and has seen so much. I only want happiness for her."

They touched the idols feet together and donates money. They come back and take pandit ji's blessings. He blesses them and puts tilak on their foreheads. They settle down.

Dadi : pandit ji.. sanskaar is going out for two years.. so find a date according to that.

Priest nods. Ragini looks at sanskaar with a pout. Sanskaar too makes a sad face but smiles when ragini gives a heart warming smile. Priest checks their kundlis.

Priest : look one date is coming after 7 days. It's very auspicious. But as you said they'll marry after two years only... the next date will be......

Everyone looks on! The screen freezes on excited faces of RagSan!
