SANGINI – A NEW BEGINNING ! CHAPTER 76

Recap – ragsan engagement day

The episode starts with Ragini and Sanskaar sitting together on the couch and Sujata – Rp and Shomi – Shekher doing the rituals.  First, sujata covers ragini's head with red duppatta, Rp gives her the shagun ( jewellery and clothes ) and they bless her as she touches their feet. Then shomi does sanskaar's arti and puts tilak on his forehead. Shekhar gives him a branded watch and gold chain as a shagun. Sanskaar touches their feet.

Both the parents then join their heads from behind, meaning they'll be together in good and bad times. Ragini and Sanskaar smiles. The pictures are taken. Everyone looks on happily. The roka ceremony was done. The family members and other close relatives also gave them shagun and blessings.

And now it was time to exchange the rings. They placed the gifts aside and stood. Adarsh stood beside sanskaar holding the ring and behind him was Abhay. On the other hand, Pooja was standing beside Ragini holding the ring. RagSan smiled happily, beside each other, going to be tied in a very beautiful bond.. for Ragini, it was no less than a dream. She never thought that on this day her family will also be there. But she was very happy her love was with her. And everything is fine and will be better in future.
And as for Sanskaar, he was in high spirits. His only true love was standing beside him. Now there'll be no fear of her going away. She would be his forever. His personal and professional life both were on the top right now. Family was something he always believed in but his trust was broken or say shattered. And he still is not sure if he would be completely devoted to them. The scars were still there on his heart but for Ragini, he was ready to close the eyes to them. She was his first priority.

They both smiled looking at each other And blinked conveying their feelings without saying. Swara was about to go towards Pooja but this time Laksh held her hand. She looked at him, annoyed and dazed.

Laksh : shona.. just stay here.

Swara ; but lucky.. i'm supposed to be with ragini.. she's my sister and not hers....

Sujata ( who was hearing this ) : swara.. you've done enough for today.. now stand here quietly. I don't want any drama in my son's engagement.
Swara huffs and stands there folding her arms across her chest. Sujata asked them to start the ceremony.

Adarsh gave the ring to sanskaar. He forwarded his hand and she kept her hand on his. he gently held and slide the ring on her ring finger. And that was not enough, he kissed her on her knuckles. Ragini got surprised and blushed.
Everyone hooted. Romantic bollywood tracks were playing. Ragini glared at him and he shrugged and winked. Pooja gave the ring to Ragini. She forwarded her palm and he kept his on hers. She smiled and put the ring on his finger. Everyone smiled, clapped and showered flowers on them. Abahy and Pooja eyed each other and smiled.

Uttara : bhaiya and my bhabhi... now officially.. you guys have to dance....

Everyone hooted and joined Uttara. Sanskaar asked her for the dance. She was shy at first then gave in.  The lights got dimmed and they came on the floor. Everyone surrounded them.

((( RagSan feel the music and sanskaar pulls her towards himself. Now his one hand is on her waist, one holding her one hand and her other hand is on shoulder. Both are deeply absorbed in each others eyes. Smile is not leaving their face. )))

((( everyone was so in awe of them. They were not looking less than any fairytale couple dancing like rhythm. They both danced like no one was watching them. She laughed and smiled while dancing .... )

((( they recalled their first dance in delhi. Sanskaar kept on talking making her blush and laugh. She kept staring at him, lovingly. She could do anything to keep this smile intact on his face.  He looked so happy. He turned and back hugged her while she closed her eyes feeling his hands on her stomach. )))

((( sanskaar pulled Adarsh and Pari and with them came Swara and Laksh. )))

((( all the three brothers danced with their better halves. Abhay also asked Pooja for the dance but she was too shy and didn't wanted to. Uttara came and asked Abhay for the dance, he agreed to her by showing tongue to Pooja. She smiled at him. )))

((( by the end, ragini's head was on his chest and they both were moving slowly hugging each other. Then Addy came there and sanskaar picked her up in his arms. Photographer clicked their pictures. )))

Everyone clapped for the couples after the song ended. Ragini looked so happy.

Everyone talked to each other. The atmosphere was filled with love, positivity and songs. They all sat to have some snacks. Ragini made sanskaar eat from her hands and he did the same. Everyone teased them.

Pari : ragu.. you have to promise me that you'll wear the dress that i'll design for you on your wedding....

Ragini : of course bhabhi.... i would love to... but you also have to give me that dress which i asked you earlier.

Pari : done! I'll make few more for you.

Sanskaar : acha bhabhi... everything for your devrani.. nothing for your devar?/ haan?? Who'll make my outfit?

Everyone laughed hearing his question. Pari pinched his cheek but before she could reply him, a feminine voice came from the crowd.

Voice : i'll make for you!

eVeryone looked at that direction. A lady in black designer long dress was standing there with a charming smile on her face. No one recognized her. But...........

swara : OH MY GOD!

The girl  looked at her and smiled. She came near them. Swara too moved towards her while everyone looked on.

Swara : Aashita Roy

Aashita : Swara Bose

They both smiled as they moved towards each other.

Swara : oh my god! I don't believe this..

They hugged each other and smiled. Everyone still looked on. The girls broke the hug and talked a bit.

Shomi : shonaa..

Swara ; oh i forgot... maa, she's Aashita, my best friend from school. And Aashita this is my mom....

Swara introduced her to everyone. Everyone smiled back. She came and stood behind sanskaar and kept her hand on his shoulder.

Aashita : don't worry... ummm.. sanskaar right? ( he nods ) i'll make your wedding outfit.

Swara : yes sanskaar. She's a very renowned fashion designer in Mumbai. But Aashita what are you doing here?

Aashita : i came to meet you swara.. i went to your house but your neighbour said you are here for someone's engagement so i came here. I hope you guys don't mind.

Everyone nods. But Ragini's eyes were stuck on her hand which was still on sanskaar's shoulder. She glared at her. Aashita saw her and smiled. She went towards her and hugged her.

Aashita : congratulations..

Ragini : thanks. Swara never me told about you.

Aashita : we lost touch after school. But recently she remembered me again and i came here to meet her.

Ragini smiles. Aashita met everyone but her eyes were stuck on two people. But swara took her from there. Everyone continued with their dinner.

Ragini ( holding his hand ) : i didn't like swara's friend... i think she's weird.

Sasnkaar : she's alright ginu. You are just JEALOUS...

He chuckles.

Ragini ; haha very funny sansku.... this ring is the proof that you are mine now so why would i be jealous... jealous hoye meri jutti...

Sanskaar : haye main marjavaan meri kudiye... but don't worry... i know i'm the most handsome here and every girl is looking at me.. but i'm all yours.....

Ragini ; uff sansku.... muh miyan mithu banna toh koi tumse seekhe....

He laughs and she eats. He irritates her.

Sanskaar ( naughtily ) : by the way... you remember your dare na...

Ragini : huh... i'm not doing any dare share... huhh...

Sanskaar : oh common ginu, you promised...
Ragini : no means no... you are so proud of yourself na.. ask any girl she'll complete your dare... huh...

She stands to go but swara comes there with Aashita.

Swara : ragini... everyone is asking you to sing. It's been months that we have heard you sing....

Raginii : no swara i don't want to... you sing na...

Aashita : common ragini... you have to sing. Swara was praising you so much. I'm sure sanskaar also wants to hear you.

She said keeping hand on sanskaar's shoulder. Sanskaar gives a teasing smile to ragini. She huffs and goes from there. Sanskaar also goes from there while Aashita smiles looking at them. Swara asks everyone to gather. Now only close family is left rest of the guests have gone after having dinner.

Sanskaar, Pooja and Abhay are standing together sipping soft drinks.

Sanskaar : Poo, I think I have seen this girl somewhere..

He said pointing towards Aashita. Pooja looks on while Abhay looks confused.

Pooja : umm.. but where?

Sanskaar : I can't remember but I don't know there is some connection.

Abhay : Bhai, forget about that long lost connection.. if you want to continue having your current connection. Varna dono se haath dhona padega...

Pooja chuckles. Sanskaar rolls his eyes.

Swara : so... after so many months, here i present MY DEAR SISTER, RAGINI.......

She said the last words looking at Pooja but she didn't gave any heed. Ragini comes in the centre smiling. Everyone looks at her.

RAGINI : Jo jo tu keh dinne
Hor koyi keh sakda nai

( she walks here and there looking at sanskaar, while singing. Sanskaar smirks at her and nods his head. Everyone are surprised to hear her sing a Punjabi song. Her voice was still soothing as before. Dadi has tears in her eyes. )

( she moves towards sanskaar and mocks him by moving her head.. )

{{ now guys i don't know how to explain this expression. Imagine whatever you can understand}}

(( she sings glaring at him and he recalls how he cuts her sentences in between and rants his stuff. He chuckles while everyone enjoys their cute nok jhok. ))

(( she eyes on Aashita and then looks at him. He acts like "hawa aane de". She stamps his foot and then for the last line comes behind him and keeps her chin on his shoulder. He smiles looking her ))

(( she pouts while singing. Sanskaar smiles and holds his ear. She smiles and hugs him. ))

Everyone claps for the couple. Ragini blushes.

Shekhar : arre laado.. from where did you learn Punjabi?

Ragini ; papa... he ( sanskaar ) had taught me some and rest i learned from Punjabi movies and songs. They are very popular in delhi.

Dadi ( hugs her ) : it was so good to hear you sing after so long... i didn't understood anything but it felt good to the heart..

Ragini : no worries dadi ma... i'll sing more songs for you..

Dadi blesses her. Everyone compliment her and the show goes on. Everyone have dinner and that brings end to the most awaited evening, For ragsan and for you, my dear readers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
