Corey POV:

Kayli is pushing me away. I can tell. With all her new boys, it was kind of inevitable, but I thought I would have longer than this. Then again, she had never particularly liked the fact that me and Raven continued to see each other while being with her.

Well, she was never as bothered by Raven, but me, I've always caught the brunt her annoyance. In her day to day favourites, I am hardly ever the one she chooses. I thought we would have been able to convince her otherwise, to except us for who we are, but that doesn't seem to be happening. At all. The worst part is that I'm now losing Raven as well. Even with nine more boys Kayli is still finding the time to interrupt any alone time me and Raven have.

Not that I particularly love Kayli anymore, which sounds bad even if it's true. It's little things, comments she makes, when she thinks no one can hear, the way her laughter grates in my ears. I can't believe I ever thought it sounded sweet! I used to believe she could hang the moon, with Raven's help, but now....

Though, still love Raven, and he loves Kayli, so if I want to keep seeing him, loving him, then I have to put up with her.

Watching her now though I don't really understand why I loved her in the first place. Her smile is sickly sweet towards several of us, not only me, and with others it's as if she's making an effort only because they have something that they want.

Kayli has never particularly liked Marc for his prankster ways, but it's way more obvious with Luke in the way she hasn't even tried to get on with him, at all. He doesn't seem to care, but he does seem just as confused as I am, as to why the rest of his brothers are infatuated with all things Kayli. He also knows, as I do, that if we say anything out right it will push our brothers away, and we both need them.

You can tell she is only buttering up to Victor as he is buying her all the expensive stuff she wants right now. Gabriel choses it all for her, with his impeccable taste, it explains why he gets to stay around, though he seems to be slightly suspicious, I suspect partly going through the motions because he so enjoys shopping for a girl.

I don't think I have ever heard her say thank you to either of them, but maybe she does it in private? She seems to enjoy having North, Axel, Raven, Brandon, Nathen and Silas around acting as almost bodyguards. Although North is her 'designated cook' as well! Kota's more difficult to see why she's with him, she does genuinely like him? Maybe?

She likes to tell people she is going out with a doctor, I think she thinks it makes her sound smarter than she actually is, which explains why Sean is still around. Mr. Blackborne is more difficult, he doesn't tell us anything, so it's hard to work out why she is so obsessed with him. Yet when you watch them in public, or we all go out, she normally chooses to hang off his arm, watching other girls scowl at her, while her eyes laugh.

It's hard to stomach, watching her twist my brothers, play with their emotions. She has them all wrapped around her fingers, and she knows it!

My hand rises to rub my eyes I've been staring at this screen for hours. The lines of code scrolling past my eyes have a glitch in them somewhere, something's not working with this new game. It's extremely frustrating!

"What are you doing Cor?" my brother mutters from the other side of the table. I freeze, hand still raised, not ready to talk about my new game, unless I can make something of it, even with him.

"Some coding!" I mutter trying to stifle a yawn.

"And when was the last time you slept?" he asks gently, this is the first time I've talked to him for more than a second in ages, so I'm not surprised that he hasn't noticed before now.

I know I need more sleep; I don't think I've had a proper night sleep since the decision to move us all into a huge house with Kayli, about a month ago. I just give Brandon a shrug and turn back to my computer. Part of it is this new game, but I've also been trying to avoid her as much as possible and spend some time alone with Raven, it's not working, how ever much I try.

"Cor come on, what's going on, you haven't talked to me in ages!" I want to snort at this. I haven't talked to you? No Brandon I tried! You where too blood busy with Kayli every time I tried to organise anything! I want to scream my thoughts at him, then shake it into him that she's just using him, but he loves her, so I can't.

"We'll have to fix that." I say giving him a half smile, going back to the code. I can hear him sigh, about to speak again, when she comes in. I watch her eyes flick to me, go to give me a smile then frown at the computer in front of me. I can practically hear the gears turn in her head before she mumbles.

"Corey?" I nod, giving her a fake smile. Brandon stands from the end of the table, eyes locked on her. Her gaze snaps to him and she gives my brother a big smile, ignoring me now. Brandon's instantly gone back into his Kayli haze. He gets up to follow her.

"See you later B." I say to the back of his head. He flinches, only noticeable because his my twin, before turning to me, his eyes different from a moment ago.

Then Kayli grabs his arm, the frown vanishes from his face, he smiles down at her, half lifting a hand to say goodbye to me. His arm wraps around her and they walk out, completely ignoring me.

"Something weird is going on!" I voice says behind me. I jump spinning to see Luke standing there, watching B and Kayli walk out. He smirks at the fact that I jumped when he talked.

"Think you need some more situational awareness classes their mister!" he laughs at my North worthy scowl.

"I really don't think you're a fair test." I mutter, turning back to the screen in front of me. Everyone knows that he can be a silent ninja, when he wants to be. He lets out a laugh, I can hear his grin in the next words his says.

"So, don't you think it's kind of weird that suddenly all my brothers are totally in love with the same girl, who is currently not exactly showing the ones she claimed to already love much evidence of that love?" I realise that his probably been there a while and obviously heard the whole conversation. While I totally agree with him, I don't want to just say it, but apparently my silence speaks volumes, as he seems to take my no response as a confirmation that I agree with him.

I kind of expect him to say something else but when I turn his gone completely, maybe I do need some more awareness training. But Luke is the sneaky ninja so?

I go back to my code and find somethings changed. I check though and realise what's happened kind of makes sense. On a hunch I run the game. It works, the bugs gone. But I really don't remember coding it to do that. Dam, what happened? I finish the first level and three words pop up.

They stay for a moment then vanish and a text box with a flashing curser appears. While it's obviously there for me to type in, it's slightly freaky that they could get into the computer system that I designed to be as un hackable as possible.

Hi. I type into the box just to see what happens even as I bring up a tracing program to see back trace who ever put this on my computer.

Lucien's right and you know it! The words scroll across my screen. Then vanish along with the text box and my hi. For a second , I think it must be one of Luke's jokes, but there is no way that he would be able to get past my firewall, not even with Victor's help.

My tracing program informs me that it came from my own computer, helpful. Dam there're good. Whoever the hacker is, is extremely good. I know I should go to Axel or Mr. B, but something is holding me back. Lucien's right the words flash though my mind followed by Luke's previous words 'something weird is going on!'

Wasn't I just thinking that earlier? How Kayli had everyone wrapped around her fingers, or almost everyone, apparently Luke's not under her spell. Which means I can't go to Axel or Mr. B, if they are somehow trapped by her. This would be the first time that I haven't talked to one of them, when I find something, I really don't know if I can keep anything from them. But in this case, I think I have to. Because I'm scared Luke is very, very right, this time. I can't even believe that I'm considering this, keeping stuff from my team. We don't do that, ever! I know what I must do, I have to find out what's going on because while, something weird is going on, that's not going to convince anyone of anything.

"Yes!" I breath in answer to the earlier question. A whoosh of air lets me know that someone has been watching over my shoulder, I spin fast, and see blond whipping round the corner. Looks like Luke didn't go earlier?

Which means I really do need a situational awareness course refresher. The game beeps at me, the bug's fixed, it wants to know if I want to continue playing. I hit enter, I need to test the whole thing before I send out samples to gaming companies, at least that's my rational. I try to tell myself it's not because I want to see if the mysterious hacker changed anything else...
