PART 81: WAKING UP.

The next morning, Giyuu shifted a little in his sleep, gradually opening his eyes. He found himself still in Sanemi's arms, the warm morning light steaming through the window.

Smiling softly, he stretched gently without making any noise as Sanemi was still asleep.

Sanemi stirred slightly at the movement, his arms tightening around Giyuu instinctively before he slowly opened his eyes.

He smiled sleepily when he saw Giyuu's face, leaning in to press a soft kiss to his forehead.

"Morning..."
He murmured, his short, white hair all messy.

Giyuu's heart fluttered at the gentle kiss, a soft blush rising to his cheeks.

"Good morning..."
He replied, his voice cracking slightly.

"Did you sleep well?"
He asked, his fingers gently playing with Sanemi's hair.

"Mhm... better than I have in ages."
Sanemi replied softly, pressing another kiss to Giyuu's forehead.

His hands moved to Giyuu's waist, pulling him closer.
"You're so warm..."

Giyuu felt a shiver run through him at Sanemi's tender touch, his blush deepening.

"A-Are you always this affectionate in the mornings?"
He teased lightly, though he made no move to escape Sanemi's embrace, instead snuggling closer.

"Only with you,"
Sanemi answered, a small smile playing on his lips. He tilted his head, pressing a soft kiss to Giyuu's cheek.

"You're the only one who can get me to say lovey-dovey shit like this, Giyuu,"
He admitted, smiling softly.

A small smile played on Giyuu's lips at the sweet words. He caressed Sanemi's cheek with his finger softly.

"Good..."
He tilted his head to press a gentle kiss to Sanemi's forehead.

"Cause I don't want anyone else getting this special treatment."

Sanemi's breath caught slightly at the kiss, his heart skipping a beat as he cupped Giyuu's cheek softly.

"You're something else, aren't you, Tomioka-San?"
He teased, smiling a little.

A smirk tugged at Giyuu's lips at Sanemi's teasing tone.

"Maybe..."
He murmured, his eyes meeting Sanemi's.

"Though I suppose my special treatment should come with its own special reward..."
He paused, studying Sanemi's face intently before pressing a sweet kiss to his lips.

Sanemi's heart pounded as their lips met, one hand sliding into Giyuu's hair, keeping him close. The kiss was soft, gentle - everything Sanemi had come to expect from Giyuu but still made his heart race.
"Mmm..."

Giyuu's eyes fluttered closed as they kissed, his hands slowly sliding up Sanemi's chest to wrap around his neck. He pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against Sanemi's.
"Sanemi..."

"Hmm?"
Sanemi hummed, his smile never leaving.

Giyuu looked into Sanemi's eyes, his gaze soft and filled with affection.

"W-Would it be okay with you if I asked you..."
He paused, his heart pounding in his chest as he waited for a response.

Sanemi's expression turned curious, his thumbs gently tracing circles on Giyuu's cheeks.

"Asked me what, Giyuu?"
He asked, his voice low and soothing.

"Tell me."
He encouraged, his gaze never leaving Giyuu's face.

Giyuu took a deep breath, his hands tightening slightly on Sanemi's neck.

"W-What... did you see in me?"
He trailed off, his face flushing a deep shade of red as he tried to find the right words.

"L-Like... you had many choices, yet you're here, with me..."

Sanemi's gaze softened, his thumbs continuing to trace gentle circles on Giyuu's cheeks.

"I..."
He swallowed hard, his gaze fixed on Giyuu.

Should I tell him now? Or should I wait for a better moment to tell him that?
Sanemi thought for a while, smiling soon after making his decision.

"I won't tell you that."
He smiled teasingly, his voice low and warm.

Giyuu pouted slightly, his eyebrows furrowing as he tried to suppress his curiosity.

"W-Why not?"
He asked, a disappointed look on his face.

Sanemi chuckled, his fingers intertwining behind Giyuu's neck.

"I won't be telling you yet."
He grinned mischievously, his heart racing.

Giyuu's pout deepened, his eyebrows furrowing even more.

"You're being annoying on purpose, aren't you?"
He accused, his voice taking on a huff. He sat up straighter, trying to look into Sanemi's eyes more intensely.

"I guess..."
Sanemi confirmed, his grin widening.
He leaned in closer, his face inches from Giyuu's.

"But it's not just that, something's are kept a secret..."

"You're infuriating..."
Giyuu huffed, his cheeks flushing red with frustration. He leaned in closer to Sanemi, his gaze intense.

"At least give me a hint..."
He demanded, looking away.

"Mmm..."
Sanemi hummed playfully, one hand sliding down Giyuu's back, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Don't be mad, Giyuu... but it's really difficult to put it to words... there are many reasons."

Giyuu turned away from Sanemi.

"Oh come on... You're just making up excuses because you don't want to tell me..."
He paused, sighing and turning to face Sanemi once again.

"All I want to know is... what did you see in me?"

"You... really want to know that badly?" Sanemi asked, a soft sigh escaping his lips. He gently pulled Giyuu's face closer to him, their noses almost touching.

"When I first saw you, I hated you... and we both know it."

"I-I know that, but... why... why did you choose me anyway? There were many options, Sanemi... What did you see in me?"

He can't possibly be asking this, right? He's perfect in every fucking way! How do I describe it?
Sanemi clicked his tongue with annoyance.

"Tell me! Sanemi..."
Giyuu pulled Sanemi by his arm.

Sanemi let out a small huff, his cheeks puffing out in frustration. He stood up abruptly, towering over Giyuu as he walked towards his bathroom, leaving the door open.

"I need to wash my face..."
He muttered, his back turned to Giyuu as he began to splash cold water on his face.

"H-Hey..."
Giyuu stood up after Sanemi, his movements quick and quiet as he followed Sanemi to the bathroom.

Why is Sanemi not answering me? Is it because... He doesn't truly like me? I-It can't be that, right?
He gulped, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

He paused in the doorway, his eyes fixed on Sanemi's back as he continued to splash water on his face.

"Sanemi..."
He called out softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Mmm?"
Sanemi kept his back turned, intentionally avoiding Giyuu's gaze.

After a moment, he spoke, his voice carrying through the steamy bathroom.

"Why don't you freshen up?"
He asked, reaching for a towel to dry his face.

Giyuu was confused but couldn't help but comply with Sanemi's suggestion. He washed his face in the cool water, trying to hide his growing frustration.

After drying himself off, he stood silently next to Sanemi, who was still facing away.
"Why are you avoiding my question?"

Oh, I don't think Giyuu's gonna let me live in peace until I tell him... Guess I can't keep quiet anymore... Ugh! I wanted to tell him all this later... But I guess this can't be helped...
Sanemi clenched his fists, swallowing hard.

I guess I'll really have to tell him now, otherwise he'll be mad at me...
Sanemi let out a deep sigh, turning around and looking at Giyuu from over his shoulder.

Giyuu looked serious, annoyed even.

Shit! He's mad already...
Sanemi gulped, turning around completely and holding Giyuu's hands with a nervous smile playing on his lips.
"Um..."

"Why... don't we go out on a walk as I tell you?"
