PART 48: THE BEGINNING OF THE WINTER!
The two smiled and laughed as they both walked to Giyuu's place.
As they walked, Sanemi couldn't help but feel grateful for the moment. For the trust, the love, and the promise of a better future.
He held Giyuu's hand tightly, determined to keep his word and be the person Giyuu needed him to be.
They didn't even realise how they spent every single second with each other, and how those seconds turned into days and those days turned into weeks. It was the next month in the blink of an eye.
As the autumn season transitioned into a chilly winter, Sanemi found himself falling more and more in love with Giyuu.
He loved the way Giyuu smiled, the way he laughed, and the way he looked at him with so much kindness and understanding.
As for Giyuu, his trust for Sanemi was almost unbreakable.
He would admire the fact that Sanemi thought of him enough to listen to him and not let him down. He liked the feeling of Sanemi finally listening to him and taking care of himself.
Giyuu would visit Sanemi usually, the cold winter days turning warm and comfortable around him.
The two would go on walks at night, admiring the chilly fog in the road.
Giyuu would hold Sanemi's arm in a tight grip, listening to the soft steps the two would take.
Sanemi liked the feeling of Giyuu clinging to him, it made him feel that Giyuu felt safe with him. He wanted Giyuu to rely on him, something about it made him feel like heaven.
If not on walks, the two would still be with each other in their Estates, cuddling and sleeping together as the warmth between their bodies rose a special feeling of affection in between the two.
Sanemi's estate was always warm and cozy, especially when Giyuu was there. He loved seeing Giyuu walk through the door, always with a smile. Giyuu's cheeks would always turn rosy due to the cold outside.
'Just how adorable could he be?'
Sanemi would always wonder, wrapping his arms around Giyuu and holding him close, feeling like the luckiest person in the world.
Days passed by just like that, the other Hashiras always surprised at their extreme closeness.
Gyomei would always smile when he heard about the two, his face relaxing with content.
Shinobu and Mitsuri would also enjoy the sight of the two acting like an actual couple.
The thought of the only two Hashiras that never got along, loving each other so deeply, was really unexpected to all of them.

On a cold morning, Giyuu was visiting Sanemi. As soon as he knocked on the door, Sanemi walked up to open it. He didn't look like he was in a good mood.
Sanemi's eyes were clouded with a mix of grogginess and frustration. He led Giyuu inside quickly, shutting the door behind him.
"Good morning, Sanemi!"
Giyuu greeted with a soft smile.
"Morning..."
Sanemi took a deep breath, his face tired.
"Is everything alright...?"
Giyuu asked, tilting his head to the side.
Sanemi let out a heavy sigh before he spoke.
"It's nothing, it's just... I'm a little sick..."
Giyuu's eyes widened, he stepped closer, his fingers caressing Sanemi's face.
"Are you not eating properly again?"
Sanemi grumbled and looked away, not liking how concerned Giyuu was.
"I'm fine, I just need some rest, that's all."
He tried to brush Giyuu off, but there was fatigue written all over his face, and Giyuu could tell.
"You should go, I'll be okay."
He added, trying to dismiss Giyuu.
Giyuu shook his head, stepping closer.
"I'm not going anywhere. You didn't have breakfast, did you?"
He asked, suspicion clouding his mind.
"Tch!"
Sanemi looked away, his eyes clouding again.
"I-I was about to have something..."
He stammered, trying to convince Giyuu.
"I'm just a little tired, that's all."
Giyuu sighed, pressing a soft and gentle kiss on Sanemi's cheek.
"You should rest, come..."
He held his hand, walking to his room.
Sanemi felt his cheeks heat up at the kiss, his body relaxing as Giyuu held his hand.
He didn't want Giyuu to see him in this state, but he didn't have the strength to fight him. He followed Giyuu to his room silently, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"You know the weather is cold, you should take better care of yourself..."
Giyuu said as he made him lay down on the bed.
Sanemi didn't resist as Giyuu helped him lay down, his mind still clouded by fatigue. He let out a tired sigh as he closed his eyes.
"I know... I just get so caught up in everything..."
Giyuu exhaled softly at the sight of him, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"I'll get you some warm soup, it'll help."
Sanemi smiled helplessly, his body relaxing.
"Thanks..."
He muttered, his eyes following Giyuu as he disappeared from view.
He couldn't help but think of how much their relationship had changed, it was really growing serious now.
A faint smile escaped his lips as he thought of the time when the two would fight a lot. He stared into blank space, imagining Giyuu's straight face when he attempted to befriend him.
He was equally as cute as he is now...
Sanemi exhaled out, lost in his thoughts.
After a few minutes, Giyuu walked into the room with a big bowl in his hand. He sat right next to him.
"Do you want me to feed you?"
He asked enthusiastically.
Sanemi blushed at the words, shaking his head.
"I-I can do it myself..."
"Eh...? But, I want to feed you..."
Giyuu looked down, a disappointed look on his face.
"H-Huh...?"
Sanemi's blushed deepened.
"Please say yes..."
Giyuu smiled helplessly.
Sanemi couldn't resist, nodding reluctantly.
"A-Alright..."
Giyuu smiled cheerfully.
"That's much more like it."
He slowly leaned closer, feeding Sanemi slowly and patiently.
Sanemi felt a strange warmth building inside him as Giyuu fed him, his cheeks flushing a deep red. He never thought he would enjoy being pampered so much.
"Y-You know...? This is the least I could do to pay you back..."
Giyuu blushed softly.
Sanemi's eyes widened.
"What do you mean?"
"Y-You've taken care of me in the past... a-and I couldn't help but wonder how I could ever pay you back for such kindness, Sanemi..."
Giyuu smiled, his blush deepening.
Sanemi frowned slightly at the words, his eyes avoiding Giyuu's.
"Don't mention it... I didn't do it because I wanted something in return."
Giyuu blushed more at his words.
"Y-You're really nice..."
Sanemi's heart raced at the words, and he felt a strange tightness in his chest. He quickly looked away, his face burning with embarrassment.
"Sh-Shut up..."
He muttered, trying to hide his feelings.
Giyuu chuckled softly.
"Come on now, you need to finish it..."
Sanemi nodded, taking the spoon from his hand and eating the rest of the soup in silence.
As he finished, he felt Giyuu's hand gently brush against his cheek, wiping away the remaining soup.
"Stop it..."
He whispered, his voice trembling slightly.
"You're making me feel all weird..."
He added.
"I'm sorry..."
A small chuckle escaped Giyuu's lips as he stood up, holding the empty bowl. He turned around as he walked to the kitchen.
"I'll be right back."
Sanemi watched Giyuu walk away, his eyes following his every movement. He felt a strange longing in his heart, something he couldn't explain.
Giyuu walked back into the room after a minute or two, sitting beside Sanemi.
"Are you sleepy?"
Sanemi shook his head, his eyes still fixed on Giyuu.
"No... not yet..."
He replied softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Can... can you stay here for a little longer, Giyuu?"
Giyuu smiled warmly, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead.
"Of course."
Sanemi's eyes fluttered closed as he felt Giyuu's warm breath on his skin, his heart beating rapidly in his chest.
Giyuu relaxed too, patting Sanemi's head slowly and gently.
"Giyuu...?"
Sanemi whispered, his voice barely audible.
"Mhm...?"
Giyuu leaned closer, his cheeks rosy pink.
Sanemi opened his eyes slightly, looking up at Giyuu with a soft, sincere expression.
"Can I... hold your hand?"
He asked, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Just for a little while...?"
He added, his eyes pleading for Giyuu's comfort.
Giyuu's eyes widened.
"Of course..."
He held Sanemi's hand, squeezing it gently.
"I just hope you heal up soon, Sanemi..."
Sanemi smiled at Giyuu, his eyes shining with gratitude. He held his hand tightly, enjoying the warmth that radiated through his body.
A sense of peace washed over him as he closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep with Giyuu's hand in his.
Giyuu smiled softly, closing his eyes as well, trying to match his breathing with Sanemi's as he went off to sleep as well.
