PART 21: BACK IN THE MANSION...
Sanemi rushed to Giyuu in hurry, who was sitting on a tree log in a distance.
Giyuu was staring at his own feet. On hearing Sanemi's fast footsteps approaching, his gaze slowly shifted to the taller male.
"Shinazugawa-San?"
Giyuu stood up.
"Tomioka!"
Sanemi ran to Giyuu, hugging him tightly.
Giyuu was caught by surprise, but he didn't question it. He hugged Sanemi back.
Sanemi placed his hand on the back of Giyuu's head. The previous blood had dried out.
"You're okay, right?"
Sanemi asked, his voice almost restless.
Giyuu nodded.
"It's just... My head hurts."
He replied.
Sanemi pulled away from the hug, locking his eyes with Giyuu's.
"I'm sorry, Tomioka..."
Sanemi's voice was shaky.
Giyuu looked up at him.
"Sorry for not being there sooner..."
Sanemi's voice had a tone of genuine remorse, which made Giyuu's gasp softly.
Giyuu soon shook his head in denial.
"It's not your fault... It's mine for not paying enough attention."
He looked down at his feet, a sad expression on his face.
Sanemi looked at Giyuu, his eyes softening.
"Oi... Stop being so gloomy... At least we're both alive."
"The mission is over! You can head back now!"
Sanemi's crow cawed.
The two looked up at the flying crow, chuckling softly.
Sanemi cupped Giyuu's cheek, making him look at him.
He smiled softly, locking his eyes with Giyuu's again.
"Let's head back."

The two reached the Mansion after about 20 minutes of walking.
"Ah... You're back."
Mayumi stood near the front door, smiling at the two.
"You're very injured... But don't worry, the doctor is here!"
She stepped aside, allowing the two to walk in.
After cleaning up the wounds, a bandage was wrapped over Giyuu's head.
The doctor told the two to rest for about a few days before heading back to the headquarters.
The two agreed to stay in the mansion with Mayumi for 5 more days.
Two days had passed by.
Giyuu was finally able to take the bandage off his head.
He was sitting in the backyard of the
Mansion, all alone.
Sanemi was walking to the kitchen, but he stopped in his tracks as he noticed Giyuu sitting there quietly.
He smirked, silently walking up to him.
"HEY!"
He shouted, grabbing Giyuu by his shoulders, sending a shiver down his spine.
"Ah!"
Giyuu flinched, turning around to look at Sanemi.
Sanemi's eyes widened at Giyuu's frightened face. He laughed heartily.
"This isn't funny..."
Giyuu pouted.
"I know... I.... I am sorry.... Really- "
Sanemi couldn't control himself as he laughed loudly.
"If you're going to laugh at me like this, then it's fine. I'll be leaving."
Giyuu stood up, ready to walk away.
"Hey..."
Sanemi held Giyuu's hand, pulling him closer.
"You get offended so easily, huh?"
Sanemi finally stopped laughing as he gestured Giyuu to sit down again.
The two sat down, staring at the bright blue sky.
They were silent for minutes, just enjoying each other's company.
Sanemi slowly wrapped his arm around Giyuu's shoulder.
Giyuu blushed a little, looking at Sanemi.
"Are you feeling better now...?"
Sanemi asked.
"H-Huh?"
Giyuu blushed more.
"I mean!"
Sanemi lifted his arm off of Giyuu's shoulder.
"I mean... Your head..."
"Oh... Yeah. I'm fine."
Giyuu smiled, his gaze shifting back to the sky.
The two heard slow footsteps approaching.
"Lunch is ready..."
Sanemi stood up.
"Seems like Grandma made tempura again..."
He looked at Giyuu.
"What're you sitting here for? Let's go."
He reached his hand out to Giyuu.
"Come on."
Giyuu nodded, holding Sanemi's hand as he got up.
The two went to have lunch, sitting down at the table.
As Sanemi swallowed the food down, he noticed Giyuu just sitting there, silently staring at his food instead of eating it.
"Oi..."
Giyuu snapped back to reality looking at Sanemi.
"Why aren't you eating?"
"I..."
Giyuu paused.
"I am..."
He finally took a bite out of the rice ball, his cheeks looking rounder.
Sanemi eyes widened as he stared at Giyuu's stuffed face, chuckling softly.
"Hm?"
Giyuu tilted his head to the side innocently.
"You look like a squirrel forcing food into it's mouth!"
Sanemi laughed, ruffling Giyuu's hair.
Giyuu swallowed it down, chuckling softly at Sanemi's comparison.
After a minute, Sanemi looked at Giyuu again, who was just staring at the food, zoning out.
"Tomioka."
"Uh! yeah?"
Giyuu took a bite again.
"Why aren't you eating properly?"
Sanemi's voice was more serious now.
"I am..."
Giyuu said, it took Sanemi some time to figure out what he said as his mouth was stuffed.
"You're not, you're only eating when I look at you. You're just zoning out!"
Sanemi snapped.
"I... I guess I'm not hungry...."
Giyuu stared at his food again.
Sanemi sighed.
"Eat up, idiot... You'll get thinner this way."
He said.
"Hm..."
Giyuu looked uninterested as he swallowed his food down.
It was not long enough when he got caught spacing out again.
"Tomioka! How many times will I have to tell you to eat?"
Sanemi snapped again.
Giyuu's eyes widened.
"Shinazugawa-San..."
"...What?"
Sanemi looked annoyed.
"You kinda..."
"...Act like a mom sometimes..."
Giyuu said, as if trying to hold his laughter.
Sanemi's eyes widened with anger.
"What did you say?"
Giyuu chuckled softly.
"Quit laughing."
Sanemi pulled Giyuu's cheek.
"Ow..."
"I ain't your mom, idiot..."
Sanemi said, chuckling softly.
"Now if you don't eat, I'll force it down your throat!"
He added.
Giyuu smiled softly.
"I guess I will have to finish it all, then..."
