Preference #29: He figures out his feelings

Hello! this is finally finished after a long time. I am so so sorry this took so long, and to be honest its kinda trash. I am super sorry. I'll undoubtedly edit it when I feel a little more inspired, but I hope its good for now! as always please keep comments clean and Patton friendly.

this contains slightly spoilers for flirting with social anxiety in Virgil's part, not sure if a warning is necessary but okay!

so thank you!

Logan:

Logan couldn't get you out of his head as he walked back to his cubical, the way you said his name, it made his heart flutter, and a blush crawl onto his cheeks as the thought more about it. the way your fingers brushed when you handed him the package or the small wave you gave as you walked away. Logan was... amazed.

he tried not to think of it as he typed, but he couldn't get you out of his head, you were just a distraction, yet telling himself thing was never enough. you were... incredible. after 3 weeks of trying to fight his feelings, Logan finally dialed Patton's number.

"Hello Patton, I realize you sent one of your friends down to deliver my crofters, I was calling to inqure about their name, and to ask if you would be willing to set up a time for us to meet and enjoy a glass of coffee, or whatever they enjoy drinking from the Café." Logan said, working hard not to stutter, or draw attention to himself while he stood in the lunch room, his salad growing warmer by the second as he glared at it, as if threatening it.

"you love them, don't you!" Patton gasped, his smile evident through his voice.

"Patton, do not jump to conclusions, and please answer my previous question." Logan said, adjusting his tie. Patton agreed and hung up. Logan sat down, ready to eat his, dull, lukewarm salad.

Patton:

you joined Patton for hot chocolate, meeting Virgil and Roman in the process, and Patton couldn't be happier. you really hit if off with them, you were sweet and loved your pets very very much. you just had this stunning energy about you.

the way you could just smile it off when you got splashed by a puddle walking back with Patton. how tulip seemed to just bounce or how you talked with suck sweetness towards her, Patton was almost jealous, but not really.

it was a few months after talking when Patton realized how deep he'd fallen for you, it didn't take too long to process, most like getting hit in hte head with a frying pan, where one second you don't see it and the next you are knocked out.

Patton knew he was head over heels, and he know it wouldn't work alone, so that's when he called Roman over one day while making cookies.

"Roman, you know y/n?" Patton asked, glancing to the side to see Roman smirking at him.

"you don't mean that sweet pet-owner you've clearly been enfatuated with?" Roman asked and Patton blushed deeply.

"I need some help... will you be my wingman?" Patton asked while Roman winked.

"not a problem padre!" Roman smiled cheekily, before grabbing the bowl of cookie dough and sprinting.

Roman:

you and Roman walked and talked after he bought you something at the café. both of you just walking along the sidewalk, talking about broadway and so many other things, just, enjoying each other's company.

Roman started making some jokes, your chuckling making his heart go boom. it was as if an angel had fallen from the sky right into his awaiting arms and he was the one among millions lucky enough to catch you. you were the star, and he was starstruck.

Roman knew in his heart you were something special. special was hard to come by, so Roman politely asked for your number and kissed your hands when you finally departed, leaving an adorable little blush on your cheeks as he walked away.

when Roman arrived home, hours after Remus, Patton and Virgil were both curious, seeing the love struck smile on Roman's lips as he, as clique as it might sound, pressed his back to the door and slid down, just giggling in a state of euphoria.

"you like them?" Remus said, sliding down on his head next to Roman. Roman merely nodded still giggling, while Remus smiled, he's along for the ride.

Virgil:

Virgil hopped into the car with Roman by his side, staring at his arm, and the faint kiss mark on his cheek being practically burned by the deep blush, Roman smirking at him while he was out of it.

Virgil doesn't believe in love at first sight, however, it would be lying if he said the first time he saw you he didn't duck into an aisle to hide his blush, or want to defend you from a Karen but trip on his words, and just not say anything.

he'd never imagined to get your phone number, or kissed, just... how insane is that? Roman drove, playing the love songs loud on the radio as Virgil sunk into his seat, typing the number into his phone and calling it "cheese-puff cutie"

Roman had to carry Virgil inside from being so weak in the knees, purple eyeshadow very visable and the blush still not going away. Janus and Remus both smirked, seeing Virgil like this. with the cheesepuffs and no change (much to Logan's frustration.)

Patton thought Virgil was sick, but he wasn't, at least not physically. the only sickness Virgil had, was lovesick.

Janus:

Janus grew feelings for you before ever meeting you, from the way you answered things in class, and the way you carried yourself, you caught Janus attention. he found himself reading books you'd just returned for the library, preparing himself to meet you, so the one day he finally introduced himself to you, he knew he would be ready.

Janus was a little nervous during the dinner, but it was simply magical, his plan with the coffee working flawlessly, as he cheered himself on in his head. he smiled at you walking back to the dorm and as soon as he turned he nearly cheered.

Remus heard Janus make a soft squealing noise as he walked in late, almost jumping around, and Remus smiled, Janus had finally murdered something, that was nice. however Remus was sadly mistaken as he look at Janus, the blush on Janus cheeks, and the way he smiled.

"they said yes, didn't they?" Remus said, leaning against the doorpost, his unholy concoction or condiments in a cup, in his hand. Janus nodded, glancing at Remus again before headed to his room.

you were going on a second date, and Janus couldn't be happier.

Remus:

Remus and you walked around town, Remus falling deeper and deeper in love with you every step. he wrapped his arm around your torso in the dark alleys when you grew nervous, as a silent promise of protection.

you both arrived back at the apartment and Remus waved goodbye. a bounce in his step as he walked into his room, he plopped on the bed and just stared at the ceiling, you were incredible. in just the short time you and Remus had talked he knew you were irreplaceable.

he kept watching you, getting to know you and falling deeper and deeper for you, it wasn't like he didn't accept his feelings, they were just new. it wasn't long before you gathered Remus every thought,  surprisingly not dirty ones, just of him getting a soft kiss or laughing with you.

Remus would continue to admire you, loving everything about you, but what could he say in defense? from the second you walked through the door, he was absolutely smitten.
