I really hope you are liking the book! as always please keep comments clean and Patton friendly!
here are the warnings, just so nobody gets triggered
Warnings: mentions of infertilely/trouble with pregnancy, vomiting, blood, mentions of tests and coma's, mentions of childbirth, mentions of illness, means family, with one really mean Karen
Logan:
you sighed as you dialed Logan's number. you see, you had been hiding the fact that you weren't feeling great from him all week, and now... well, you couldn't hide it anymore. you held the phone up to your ear as you heard Logan pick up
"Dear, is something wrong, I'm at work." Logan said, as you sighed again.
"yeah, could you take me to the doctors, I've been throwing up all morning, and this isn't the first day its happened." you said in defeat.
"how long has it been happening?" Logan's voice said, rising in concerned, you sighed again.
"about the whole week." you said, and you heard Logan stand up.
"Drink some water, I'm on my way." Logan said before hanging you, you did, and soon enough Logan was there to pick you up. Logan interrogated you on the way to the doctors on why you hadn't told him, and you just looked down.
you both walked in, both tense. and you soon got called to the back, they took some blood and urine samples just to make sure everything was okay. and Logan wouldn't look at you, which kind of broke your heart a bit
the doctor walked in with a smile.
"Mrs. Sanders, most of the tests came back negative, except for the pregnancy test." they said, your eyes widened.
"WHAT!!!" both you and Logan yelled.
"but that's not possible, I was told I wouldn't be able to get pregnant. how did this happened?" you asked, and doctor sighed looking up.
"we aren't quite sure ma'am, but we'd like to see you next Tuesday for a follow-up." the doctor said and you nodded, Logan still in shock. you both walked to the car and he sat in the drivers seat.
"Its yours... I just wanted to make sure you know that. I would never cheat on you." you said, taking Logan's hand as he looked over, wiping his eyes. you pulled him into a soft kiss, which he kissed back passionately. this was the start of your family, and you wouldn't let anything take that away from you.
Patton:
you yawned as you walked up to the front desk, checking in, they handed you an autobiography of files and paperwork. you rolled your eyes as you began filling it out, and soon enough you handed it in.
you waited a long time, reading, but your mind was elsewhere. thinking about Patton, at home, baking cookies, and how he said he'd wait for you. you had been nervous when you'd gotten married, you had warned Patton you couldn't have children, but he merely smiled and kissed you. you both had decided that after 4 years you would adopt.
you walked into the room following the nurse as they did the usual check-up stuff. all boring routine, but Logan would start nagging if you didn't, so you did it. because when Logan nags, it get messy.
you yawned again, waiting for the doctor to come in as usual. they walked in with a smile.
"Good Morning Mrs. Sanders!" they said cheerfully. you nodded, forcing a smile onto your face.
"you look mostly healthy, I want to do a urine sample, just to make sure everything is in order." they said, and you nodded, going into the bathroom and collecting one. you handed the container to the doctor who walked out of the room.
you started playing some games on your phone when the doctor walked back in, eyes wide.
"Ma'am, we'd like to do an ultrasound, if that's alright." the doctor said, you nodded, confusion and concern flooding your face.
"what's going on?" you asked
"your pregnancy test came back positive." the doctor said and you mind started spinning. after everything was said and done, you walked out. it was very rare, seemingly impossible you would get pregnant yet here you are, an appointment schedule Tuesday.
you got home and pulled Patton into a deep kiss, dragging him to the bedroom as he asked what was going on.
"Patton, I don't know how it happened. but I'm pregnant." you said, and Patton started crying, he hugged you tightly, very aware not to squeeze your stomach. he smiled, kissing you over and over again. this was your dream, and this time you and Patton finally got to live it.
Roman:
you walked into your cousins house grumpy. Roman holding your hand in comfort, you didn't want to be here, yet you kind of had to be. it was yet another one of those family get togethers. Roman convinced you to give it a shot, and he hadn't met your extended family yet. you only invited close family to the wedding.
so here you were, as Roman quickly realized they weren't the nicest bunch of people. that one aunt, Karen, walked over with the typical smirk as you tried not to roll your eyes, squeezing Roman's hand to let him know that she was trouble.
"well hello, dearie." she said, before sticking her hand on your stomach.
"I'd say about 2 months pregnant. I just knew you were lying about the whole not being able to have kids thing." she laughed and the fiery anger grew inside.
"i'm not lying, and get your hand off my stomach." you said harshly. Roman sensing your mood and slipping his arm around your waist protectively. which you gave him a smile for. your aunt laughed. pulling an unused pregnancy test out of her bag
"prove it," she laughed and you were so angry in that moment you nearly screamed, snatching the pregnancy test, and going to put Karen in her place. you walked to the bathroom and took it. your face soon turned pale, as you raced out, grabbing Roman's arm in a vice grip.
"we are leave." you said sternly as Karen laughed.
"Name them after me" she called, waving as you gritted your teeth dragging Roman to the car. after you were both inside you turned to him, angry tears streaming down your face. and Roman wiped them away, he was about ready to punch Karen as well. but you'd grabbed him before he had a chance.
"Dear, what did it say?" Roman asked, rubbing your hand with his thumb.
"It was positive... Roman... what are we going to do?" you said, starting to cry as Roman rubbed your arms, comforting you.
"we'll manage darling, this is the most wonderful thing, we'll call the doctor when we get home, and we'll take it from there my love." Roman said, kissing you passionately before driving home. well you did just that, you called the doctor and got an appointment... well after Roman stopped fangirling, and you were ready to face this, your wonderful husband by your side.
Virgil:
you threw up again in the toilet, Virgil nervously pacing, tears streaming down his face. you'd just hit your three years of marriage a few weeks ago, not without hurtles along the way, including you falling into a coma.
Virgil was petrified, he'd already called the doctor but the closest they could get you in was in two hours, so you just had to wait. you continued to vomit, remind Virgil of the night you were taken to the hospital, all those horrible months until you woke up, he never ever wanted that to happen.
you had a short break from throwing up, and Virgil was right there, giving you some water, with a little ginger ale in it. you drank it slowly, before breathing deeply, leaning against his chest, while you intertwined your hands.
Virgil squeezed your hand and you glanced up at him to see him silently sobbing again. you leaned up, kissing his face over and over again.
"dear... its going to be okay." you whispered but Virgil shook his head, crying harder.
"but what if it isn't, what if you die this time, what if I'm alone?" Virgil cried, and you just kissed him again.
"we take one day at a time, my sunshine. now, let's breath, okay?" you said, and Virgil nodded. those two hours were spent snuggling as you soon got to the doctors office. they admitted you, and soon you had lots of tests done, holding Virgil hand the entire time.
the doctor came in with a slightly confused face.
"is there something wrong?" Virgil asked, but the doctor shook their head.
"just... strange. all the tests came back negative except one, your pregnancy test." they said and your jaw dropped, you made eye contact with Virgil as he hugged your close. whispering the words over and over.
"how is this possible?" you asked and the doctor looked at the charts before explaining how unlikely this was, and how you would need monitoring, but that it would all be okay. you and Virgil started preparing for the baby, reminding each other that it would be okay in the end. it would be okay.
Janus:
You smiled at your husband, who was chopping some fruit for breakfast, while you talked to him. it was nice to just be able to relax, your husband and best friend all tied into one wonderful person. life was just about perfect. almost.
you were nervous on the inside though, you hadn't had your period in 2 months. you thought it was just late, but it never came, neither did the next one either. you wanted tell Janus but you were nervous.
"Janus... can I tell you something." you started taking a deep breath.
"of course, Pumpkin." he said, looking up at you with slight concern, noticing your nervousness.
"I... missed my period, for the last two months." you said, and Janus eyes widened.
"do you think it has something to do with your condition?" Janus asked, taking your hands in his own. you nodded, tears gathering in your eye as Janus pulled you into his chest. you nodded, crying softly.
"how about we go to the doctor, okay?" Janus said, lifting you in his arms, you nodded. he grabbed the keys, and some of the fruit for you, and you both got into the car and he drove you to the doctor.
it was a long time before you got any results, and soon enough the doctor walked in.
"you are pregnant, Mrs. Sanders." the doctor said, handing you the results.
"but... but I was told-" you said, looking up and the doctor nodded.
"this is incredibly rare, but if you're careful, you'd have a little Sanders running around. I'd like to monitor you closely." you nodded, before turning and kissing Janus who smiled widely.
"we are ready darling." he whispered in your ear before laughing in joy and hugging you. you both got home and began talking about it all, ready for this new chapter.
Remus:
you walked into the doctors office with Remus, your hands intertwined. the took the usual bloodwork, as with after your surgery, you had a lots of treatments and test left, but you had Remus, that was all you could ask for.
it had been several months since you'd woken up from a coma, and Remus was by your side, always by your side. soon enough you both got married, and it was incredible. he had been the best husband you could ever dream of.
now here he was, both of you waiting, as he whispered sweet, and disturbing, things into your ear, making you giggle a little, Remus so happy to hear that wonderful sound, the sound that he missed so much when you were in a coma.
the doctor walked in with wide eyes, panic flickered in both you and Remus' eyes. the doctor walked over.
"Mrs. Sanders, we can't treat you." they said with knit eyebrows. you were concerned as your breathing picked up, Remus squeezing your hand. you took a deep breath.
"why?" you asked, and the doctor came closer. bringing both of you into a conference room.
"you are pregnant, Mrs. Sanders." they say seriously, and your nearly fall over. leaning on Remus, who is holding you with the same jaw-dropped expression.
"this is incredible, how?" Remus asked. while you silently started to panic.
"what are my chances of surviving childbirth?" you finally asked, and the doctor made eye contact as Remus looked sadly at you, rubbing his hands over your stomach.
"its high risk, so we'll need to monitor you, but we can make it happen." they said, and then walked out of the room.
"Remus..." you cried.
"what if something goes wrong?" you asked, crying. Remus tries to comfort you.
"you'd be fine" he said, but you couldn't believe him.
"what if I never get better, I don't want to abandon you, or this child." you cried, and Remus held you.
"together through the wonderful times and the horrible times, through the easy and the tough. I shall never abandon you." Remus said, repeating his wedding vows, while you began tearing up again.
"we'll get through this together, just like everything else." he said. together. forever and always.
