Preference # 11: Ice skating
Hello, so I kinda renamed this, I realize I didn't really label it correctly the first time, so... sorry about that. anyway, please keep comments clean and Patton-friendly
Logan: you stood up on the iceskates, terrified as Logan watched calmly a few feet away, perfectly balanced on his skates.
"sorry, Lo... are you sure you don't want to skate without me. I seriously cannot skate." you said, still gripping to the side bar, hating the fact that you were on ice, you didn't like ice. you only stepped on ice when it coated the ground and made you fall. so yeah, you didn't really like ice
"falsehood, it is a skill. would you feel more at ease if I taught you some?" Logan said, extending his hand, which you fearfully took. Logan then helped you learn how to stake, him gliding gracfully. sure you fell a lot, but you loved being around your special one, and you loved how happy he was teaching you. soon enough it got late and you and Logan stopped by the small cafe getting some tea.
"this has been a very exceptional date, I do wish we could repeat it again." Logan said, you smiled and nodded, trying to ignore the bruises that the unforgiving ice have left you with.
Patton : here you were, in the middle of an ice rink. you gliding peacefully, and helping Patton who was gliding not so peacefully. he had a really hard time picking it up, which was okay. you enjoyed helping the puffball. now here you were.
"yeah, and turn." you said, after Patton was successfully gliding towards you. Patton panicked and let out a yelp as he crashed into you, knocking you both to the ground. you let out a small laugh as Patton lightly tried to scramble off of you, but fell again.
"I guess I've fallen for you, huh?" Patton said. you giggled and kissed his already cold, pink cheek.
"I guess that's true... how about we try one more time, then we both get some hot chocolate?" you said, Patton looked at you and nodded. after one successful time later you were both sitting in the café smiles on your faces, while Patton sipped his whipped-cream topped hot chocolate and smiled at you lovingly.
Roman: you and Roman both walked onto the ice, since Roman had begged you since pretty much day one. he wanted to hold your hands gently teaching you how to skate. little did he know you were the best skater in your school in middle school, and you truly loved the ice, it had just been a while.
"so, you glide on one foot first, do you want to try, my love?" Roman asked, turning to face your almost laughing form.
"what's the matter?" Roman asked.
"I've skated before Roman." you said, then hearing the music over the radio play one of your favorite songs. you smirked at Roman before going into one of your routines, sure it was pretty rusty, but it went better than you thought it would. Roman's jaw dropped.
"that was gorgeous... where did that come from?" Roman asked, awestruck
"several awards in middle school, my prince. now, lets skate" you said, holding his hand, and you ended up being the one to teach him.
Virgil: you had always loved skating and begged and begged for Virgil to join you. he told he would as a anniversary present and here you were at the rink. Virgil watched for a while til you made him step onto the ice,
"I don't like this." Virgil said, grabbing tighter onto you as one of his skates slipped.
"I've got you Virgil. its okay. here, just like this," you said, teaching him how to skate. Virgil enjoyed it and soon the two of you were making quiet laps around the empty rink laughing and smiling.
"is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" you asked half jokingly and Virgil smirked
"a bag of cheesepuffs, Mario Kart and cuddles." Virgil said, still driving, you laughed and nodded.
"okay then. love you emo." you said, leaning over and kissing his cheek lightly.
Janus: Janus had asked you to go and you decided to face your fear. you used to love the ice, until you fell and broke your arm all those years ago. you haven't gone since. now here you were, Janus on the ice in front of you, his hand outstretched, a worried expression on your face.
"what's wrong, my dear?" Janus said. you looked up at him, embarrassed.
"I'm too scared to fall." you said softly, Janus face softened as he reached out and took your hand.
"I promise I won't let you fall." Janus said, taking you out onto the ice. he didn't. once you had tripped, and you were starting to fall and you let out a little yelp, but Janus merely lifted you into the air with ease, before setting you done.
"I won't let you fall." he whispered, before skating some more, a blush and a smile coating your cheeks.
Remus: you and Remus had decided it would be a good idea, somehow, to go to the ice rink. and Remus tried to fall down he claimed in his own words. 'the bruises change color like the norther lights, wouldn't you like to see it?'
so here you were, you skating along and Remus laughing as he fell over time and time again. when you heard the familiar thump you didn't hear laugher, making your head snap back to see Remus, his face all banged up, cradling his nose, his smile was still there, but its wasn't the joyful smile you loved.
"oh Remus." you said, dapping at the crimson dripping from his nose.
"yeah?" Remus said, looking up.
"how about we head home, I'll get you a donut?" you offered and Remus smile. hugging you, not worried about getting the crimson on your jacket. it didn't matter to you very much because soon you and Remus were home, him munching on a donut as you watched yet another horror movie.
