Hello, so I felt kinda sad leaving it at an angsty ending, so here is the second ending for anybody who wants it. thanks for reading, and I really hope you enjoy. as always please keep it clean and Patton friendly!

Logan walked down the stairs to grab some dinner after working to heal you tirelessly, he walked all the way down, easily spreading some of his favorite jam, made from the natural berries around his tower, on some toast, cooked to perfection, and he sat down.

it all came rushing to him, he couldn't believe you were his soulmate, it was rare for magicians to even find a soulmate in their lifetime,  even those magicians dedicated their lives to search for it, regretting signing the contract years later, and for him to find you, before he was old and gray, and to not even have been searching, was rare indeed

these thoughts played through his head as he sat there, chewing his toast slowly. he thought about what would happen if he told you, how would you react, would Roman have him beheaded? Logan shuttered at the thought, though he knew Roman wouldn't do that, as Logan was the only magician still practicing magic, and they would be seriously in trouble if he was gone.

Logan stood up afterwards, feeling a little bit better. he filled one of his many silver cups with water and walked back upstairs to study, but he couldn't focus, your sleeping figure, smiling in your sleep , as he watched the green turning to pink, signifying that you were healing well. 

Logan studied for a few minutes before cleaning and sitting on the old bench he had healed you on, and falling into a deep sleep. before he did though, he instructed his helper, a fairy named Emile, to monitor you, and wake him if anything changed.

Logan woke up to small sounds, snapping awake and looking over at you, who yawned and sat up before a shocked gasp left your lips. Logan stretched before walking over to you, you went to punch him, but he caught your wrist gently, setting your hand back in your lap.

"I didn't mean to startle you, my apologies. I am Logan, Magician of the ember forest, and you are?" he asked.

"y/n, of the Crofters kingdom." you said skeptically, and Logan nodded.

well, things continued on and soon enough you were reunited with the love of your life Roman. he proposed as soon as he saw you and of course you said yes, but things didn't work out the way you thought that they would.

Roman smiled as he held your hand, walking through the royal gardens. his hand holding your gently, as you both smiled.

"I missed you so much, my Angel." Roman said, kissing you again, you smiled, your cheek a pink glow. he smiled, walking around happily, you both stopped and sat by the pond, filled with gorgeous fish.

you rested your head on Roman's gentle shoulder, his head leaning over yours, a soft kiss pressed to your forehead. and you smiled, nuzzling deeper into your fiancée's shoulder. all of a sudden the sky turned dark, and Roman grabbed you protectively, pulling you behind him as the dragon witch descended from the sky, a cackle ringing out in the air

Roman was furious, as he stood in front of you protectively, drawing his sword and glaring

"oh please, I'm not going to hurt your precious lover again." the Dragon witch yawned.

"you know, I'm surprise they woke up, for only their soulmate can wake them," the dragon witch cackled again, and both you and Roman's eyes widened. 

"oh please, tell you didn't know? the orb was a curse that only a soulmate could break, and I must say, you two weren't the ones to break it, of course it is a pity, I would have loved breaking their mind one memory at a time." the dragon witch said, appearing behind you and brushing your hair with their clawed finger tips. you screamed and Roman turned, throwing you out of the way to safety as he swung at the dragon witch with his sword. but they merely appeared in front of you again.

"twas a great pity indeed, but I guess its for the best. I'm sure you would love to know who your soulmate is, but you'll have to figure that out for yourself, huh, Angel?" the dragon witch said, mocking the affectionate nickname Roman called you. Roman tried swinging, but the Dragon witch merely dodged with a smile.

"well, I shall be on my way, I have other elves to torment." they said, flying back into the sky and disappearing, you broke down crying as Roman ran up to comfort you.

"what were they saying about soulmates?" Roman asked, picking you up carefully.

"I have no idea, but... Logan would know." you said, seeing Roman's face darken.

"indeed he would." Roman said, walking out of the garden, you securely in his arms.

Logan walked down the stairs with the knocking, he opened the door to see three figures, one in a black robe, pulled over his head, hiding his face, the other two were all too familiar faces, the angered look on Roman's face, and your shocked look, while your hand was intertwined with Roman's.

"I shall ask, Magician. what did you use to heal y/n?" Roman asked angrily walking towards Logan.

"I had told you, I found some herbs and some advanced magical technique." Logan said, hiding the panic as you scanned his face.

"He'ssss lying." the robed figure said, his yellow eye glowing as he lowered his hood, revealing the dark mage, of the black forest. with a half reptilian face, the mage stared at Logan, raising an eyebrow.

"tell me the truth." you said softly, looking at Logan, feeling your heartstrings tug as you saw his eyes gloss over.

"I cannot do that, this is my magical tower, and I do not answer to any prince." Logan said firmly.

"then might I present this?" the dark mage inquired, presenting a flower that made Logan gasp, the flower of wishes. they were rare and known to only grow in the black forest, and in rare parts of the edges of the kingdom, but those weren't friendly territories, surrounded by hybrid creatures. 

"I..." Logan said at a loss for words. the mage's eyes narrowed before handing the delicate and rare flower to Roman. Roman handed the flower to you, and you spoke at last.

"direct Roman to his soulmate, make their colors shine, show him where they stepped and walked, until they reunite." you whispered, knowing how to make a proper wish with it. the flower began glowing a deep shade of purple, and began fluttering away, leaving a trail, a trail that wasn't to you.

tears welled in your eyes as you met Roman's shocked eyes.

"the witch was right..." he muttered softly, before he looked down with pity towards you.

"my dear, I am so so sorry, I love you. but this isn't meant to be, you and I both know that now. I have to find my soulmate, just as you have to find yours." Roman said before mounting his horse and riding out to follow the flower. the dark mage, put away his popcorn, and looked at the both you and Logan.

"don't make me come back here." the dark mage simply said, throwing some dark gold powder in the air and disappearing, leaving you alone with Logan.

"am I your soulmate?" you asked, and you saw Logan's eyes well with tears as he simply nodded, not able to meet your face. tears were running down your cheeks as well, as you met his eyes softly, before pulling him into a deep kiss.

well the years continued on, you married Logan, and helped him around the tower, seeing Roman occasionally, no malice between you two as he found his soulmate as well, the two of them very happy together. just like you and Logan.

you helped Logan rest and study, and he kept you safe and happy. that brings you to now, pulling a fresh pie out of the over as Logan walked down to the kitchen, you turned and smiled at your gorgeous magician. he wrapped his arms around your waist, and whispered softly in your ear.

"I adore you." he said softly, as you smiled, pulling him into a magnificent kiss, a kiss not compared to any other, the kiss of the magician, shared their his soulmate.
