Hello, thank you so much for reading and I hope you like it. this one shot is a little different than how I usually write, so... yeah. as always please keep comments clean and Patton-friendly!

I just wanted to add, Roman isn't intentionally trying to be a creep or a jerk here, he just really doesn't realize how pushy he's being. I just wanted to add that, he does get better in later parts... so yeah.

it was no secret around the school that Roman, the head of the theater department, and basically high school royalty, had his eye on one person, and that person was you. 

Roman first noticed you when you hung out with his brother Remus, and his friend Janus. you and Janus were extremely close friends, and both head of the debate teams, so you hung out with Remus and Janus a lot.

Roman soon spent every free moment staring at your when you walked into the room, flirting with pick up lines, and really any romantic gesture he could think of. He would buy you flowers, but you just set them on the desk of your favorite teacher. He tried bringing you chocolates, but you'd shared them with the debate team. Roman tried everything he could think of, but you just weren't interested.

it was lunch, and you were staring at Roman, boredom in your eyes, as Remus and Janus were talking about mugging people, which I might add, is very normal for them to talk about. and you saw as Roman again let another poor soul away, saying that he wasn't interested and saying he already had someone in mind.

you rolled your eyes at his antics right as the bell rung, you had decided to meet Patton at the theater, as he was learning how to do backstage stuff with Logan, and he told you they needed some help, Janus decided to join you, while Remus was going to go try and kill a locker, whatever that meant.

you soon arrived and walked with Janus onto the stage, where the director approched you.

"hello, y/n... you have been recommended for an understudy position." the director greeted, you nodded confused as you got handed a script, with highlighted lines. you were pulled out of your thoughts with a loud hello, from Patton, who was another one of your friends.

he brought you to the back. Janus following and Logan taught you both how to do the lights and the sound. mostly boring stuff, but I guess it was important to know. you couldn't ignore the lovey-dovey eyes Logan and Patton were exchanging though.

things continued on, and you were so amused by Patton and Logan's stuttering and blushing that you didn't see Roman racing towards you until he grabbed your shoulder, spinning you around. your eyes widening as Roman smiled.

"isn't it wonderful you're an understudy! we could practice lines together, ohhh, at a café! and I could buy you coffee and a muffin!" Roman cheered almost jumping up and down. you sighed, rolling your eyes

"I'm happy learning them on my own, Royal." you slightly hissed. Roman looked like he was about to say something else but a glare from Janus shut him up. Roman rolled his eyes before looking down at you with a lovestruck smile

"well, if you ever change your mind all you have to do is call, sweetheart." he winked, before running away, because last time he did that Janus slapped him. you were so annoyed at Roman but there really was nothing you could do

the day continued, and you found yet another box of chocolates on your desk in your last class, with a sappy note from Roman. you rolled your eyes again, Roman clearly doesn't take a hint does he. 

"I can get Remus to beat Roman up if he's bothering you." Janus said, looking down at you as you both walked home.

"nah, I'll beat him up myself if he gets too close." you replied, and Janus laughed a little. soon enough the fork in the road came around, and you and Janus parted.

"see you soon!" he called, walking down the street, as you walked down your own. what a nightmare this would be, who could imagine. but chaos is part of life, isn't it.
