Fantasy/Magic Au: Siren Virgil x reader: Siren's call

Hello, thank you so much for reading and I hope you like it! as always please keep comments clean and Patton friendly!

you walked out by the outlands, walking along the soft beaches, with the salty moat/river ahead of you. you stuck your toes in the simple waters, smiling to yourself. you had lived in the Ember forest most of your life, enjoying the quiet nature of the place, the soothing smell of pine ever on the air. as your feet treaded gently towards the waters

this was your home, by the sea's, about a mile in length and travelling all around the realm, encasing it in waves. the solid rock cliffs fencing in the waves from the other side, so tall nobody but those winged hybrid could ever see, you knew the winged people nested up there, as there were caves high in the rocks, but the sounds of the waves drew your attention back down. the sun began setting, which was your favorite time, as you watched it duck behind the cliffs.

you continued walking along the beach, the sounds lulling you into a glorious state, you walked some more picking up some shells Logan could probably use for medicine. you continued walking peacefully, glancing around, when you then saw something sitting on a rock a hundred feet out in the sea.

a soft song made its way out to your ears, a blissful lullaby, as you watched, your eyes widening. you continued to watch, as the figure swam closer.  it began singing softly again, purple eyes and scales glowing softly. you tried to ignore it but something about you couldn't. so you slid off your shoes. walking ankle deep into the water, the soft sand under your feet.

the singing grew even more beautiful as the figure gently gestured you over to them. you knew it wasn't safe to continue, but you could stop yourself as you waded deeper into the water, now to your waist.

you saw his soft purple and brown bangs fluffing softly in the wind as his voice reached you,  entrancing you as you waded in much closer, up to your armpits. the figure swam towards you, welcoming you with his eyes.

the soft sounds from his lips making the soothing melody entranced your every thought, even if you wanted to you couldn't focus on anything else. his wet hand brushed some hair out of your face before touching your cheek gently. he leaned in closer, your noses touching, before the figure let out the last few lines of the melody, pulling you into a kiss, you not knowing about the sea urchin in his other hand, or how he pricked you, injecting the venom and knocking you out into his awaiting arms.

Virgil then gently lowered you into the water after a few minutes. the venom working its way into your system, as he lowered you down deeper and deeper into the water. he brought you all the way to his dwelling place, which was quite a swim.

Virgil swam you inside, setting the urchin gently on the mantle of his bubble-box (since they don't have fireplaces, they have a bubble-box which just blows warm air) he then set you gently on the couch, brushing your hair gently.

Virgil had kept an eye on you, and the creatures that lurked in your every footprint, as much as he hated doing it, he needed to keep you safe. and this was the best way. he knew he could bite you, injecting the venom that way, but he hated everything about that, so he instead always moves his venom to a small sea urchin.

you were breathing normally underwater, scales now coating your legs. and Virgil carried your limp body to his bedroom, setting you down gently on the bed while he sat on a small chair, watching you, and thinking deeply. he began singing to calm his nerves, as it always helped, his soft voice ringing out, a new song. one he'd heard while swimming around the realm, searching for answers to many questions

you woke up shortly after, a headache pounding in your brain, as you looked over to see the man from earlier singing again, his soft purple bangs floating softly. you blinked, trying to stand up, you floated and screamed in surprise, snapping the man to attention as well.

"its okay, you'll be okay." he said softly, lowering you down.

"why are you a merman? where am I?" you said panicked. meeting his purple eyes.

"its okay, sunshine." he said, as you looked at him.

"I am a siren, and you are in my house." he said softly.

"what is your name?" you asked, looking at his with big eyes.

"my name is Virgil." he said before glancing down at your legs, your ankles getting glowing bronze scales.

"I'll let you change, its really uncomfortable the first day or so... I'm sorry." he said, before swimming over and pulling a skirt out of the dresser.

"sorry, you never know what you'll transform somebody, so I prepared myself" Virgil said, handing you the skirt.

"you should get your tail by the morning, the scales are just now coming in." Virgil said.

"why did you bring me here?" you asked

"I needed to protect you, I've seen things around, and there is trouble lurking, I sensed it following you and I couldn't let you get hurt." Virgil said, before turning and swimming down the hall to let you get changed.

after you did, Virgil came back. you had many more questions, but they weren't for all right now. you two spent the day wondering and asking questions about sea life and about land. you would probably be punching him if he were anybody else, but the thing is, you also sensed something off about the Ember forest the past two weeks as well. and you felt an unnatural security with Virgil

your tail was soon a reality and you got rid of the skirt, your bronze scales shining, as Virgil glanced at you, his own black and purple scales shining as well. Virgil and you explored the realm, learning about various lifestyles and trying to figure out why the realm itself felt so off.

you both soon fell in love, after another mer-person, pointed out how your songs affected each-other as only perfect mates would. you soon began dating Virgil, eventually getting married, that brings you to now, both of you cuddling on your bed, his soft lullabies singing you into a gentle sleep.
