Hello there, so I wasn't planning on posting today, but I was listening through my playlist and rewatched the amazing animatic by thepastelpeach for sanders sides, ready as I'll ever be... this idea is not purely original, as I'm sure I subconsciously use inspiration from another sanders sides ready as I'll ever be story, but I really tried to make it different. I really freaking love this one! as always please keep comments clean and Patton friendly

"it'll be any moment now, your highness..." Roman said, smirking as he looked down at you, helpless as Roman scanned your eyes, his once loving chocolate now glazed over with a dark color. his smile... planning instead of loving.

"Roman, you've... you've got to stop this." a small cry escaped your lips but Roman merely scoffed, his magic growing a little stronger as he glanced towards you

"believe me, I know. I've sunk pretty low... but whatever I've done, they've deserved." Roman said, as he moved another vile on his desk, a sickening substance brewing as glaring at the window, both of you knowing exactly who he was thinking of.

"Roma-"

"QUIET!" he screamed at you, shutting you up, as you cried a little... he... he was your best friend, your childhood best friend, and it hurt like nothing else in the world to see him so desperate, so... corrupted.

"I'm the bad guy... That's Fine. cause it's no fault of mine, and some justice at last will be served." Roman said, holding up the glowing black crystals with a steady hand, their presence nearly draining your energy just by looking. tears streaming down your face

"Please listen" you softly begged him

"now it's time to step up, or it's time to back down and there's only one answer for me" Roman said, slowly approaching you, as he carefully brushed a few tears away, he'd... always been careful around you, and that didn't change

"and I'll stand up and fight, cause I know that I'm right, and I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm READY! ready as I'll ever be." Roman said, his dark gaze glaring out the window, before he slowly walked back over, rubbing you back a little.

"he doesn't even know you, how could he be in love with you... he's not the way I am." Roman mumbled as he pulled you into a hug, silent for a few moments, his scent of strawberries and roses corrupted. your best friend. evil.

Virgil watched the storm rolling in the distance as he gritted his teeth, he didn't wanna run, but with that... monster on the rampage, he had no choice, but he had to save you, he knew. he knew he loved you the second he saw you, all those weeks writing letters to one and other, they... he loves you.

these three weeks of planning just pure agony as he knew you were trapped in the castle with the monster. he was probably tormenting you ever living, breathing second, and Virgil could only watch, watch as Patton and Logan made plans, they didn't wanna botch the mission, or go in too early.

"now it's time to rise up, or it's time to stand down!" Virgil called to the other warriors,

"and the answer is easy to see." he mumbled, half to himself a he reached for the sword, lifting it high a he saw the lightning strike in the distance, he was coming, coming to save you.

"and I swear by the sword, if you're in, get onboard." Virgil screamed, tucking your letter into his shirt, right over his heart. he'd... be the hero everyone always wanted him to be. if it meant saving you. he'd do anything.

"are you ready?" Virgil screamed out to Patton, who merely nodded, having agreed on the plan with Logan the night before, Virgil with a new passion in his eyes, staring towards the castle, just... praying you were okay

"I'm ready" Patton cried back, getting the attention of the warriors

"we're ready!" they screamed in a valient cry

"ready as I'll ever be..." Virgil mumbled, stalking towards the castle, not a care except your safety.

"are... you quite sure we can do this." Logan mumbled, wrapping his arms around Pattons waist as Patton leaned up, kissing Lo's cheek softly. both married and happy, well... until Patton got word his sibling was in trouble.

"together, we will, Guaranteed." Patton said, softly kissing Logan's nose before running off to follow Virgil.

"I'll make him hear me!!!!" Roman screamed, you focusing on breathing in the corner as Roman formed a magic dome around you, his eyes scanning your face as you got incased in it. trapped, and only power is watching it all play out

"Prove they can trust me!!!" Virgil yelled against the wind as he remembered how many misunderstanding you had at the beginning, he wanted, no, needed to prove to you that he... was gonna protect you, and gonna, be your prince

"I'll save my home and family." you whispered, pulling out the small vial of magic sands the mage left you as a self defense tool, hoping it would be enough, and hoping beyond all hopes, you didn't have to use it.

"now the lines in the sand, and our moment's at Hand!" Logan called out, riding on the horse with Patton hugging his waist. both riding, Patton desperately defensive about his family. and you were no different.

"I'm ready" Virgil said, ready to face his fears

"I'm ready" Patton said, willing to do anything to save you

"I'm ready" you mumbled, clutching the vile close, hiding it as Roman turned, a soft smile on his lips, evil but... loving.

"ready as I'll... ever be." Roman said, tossing the black powder to the ground as it flew into mist, immerging a giant, black scaled, blood red eyed... Dragon.
