Logan, Patton, and Roman were helpless as they watched him fall. His hands clawing the air, desperate to have something to save him, the look of pure terror in his eyes. Patton and Logan both winced as they saw Anxiety hit the street below while Roman looked away from his figure that was sprawled out on the asphalt. Deceit was frozen in horror as the young villain fell, he heard the sickening splat and glared at the heroes with more hatred than he had for them before, Anxiety was like a little brother to him. He and Remy fled, knowing the heroes could easily overpower them, this allowed the heroes to move because Deceit was holding them in place. Patton wasted no time at all going down to the young villain, he phased through the roof of the building they were on and through all three floors till he got to the ground floor, then he phased through the wall and knelt at Anxiety's side.
"Is he alright, Patton?" Logan asked after he got to the emotional, dad-like man's side. Patton hovered his hands over the boy's chest and you could physically see Patton becoming exhausted. Patton's face paled a little and he yawned almost every five minutes.
"He will be." Patton sighed, taking his hands away from Anxiety, then yawned.
"He was almost dead, but, because of his dama- *yawn* damage reduction, it gave me enough time to save him." Okay, let me explain; usually, if it's a broken bone or semi-deep wounds, Patton won't have to use as much energy to heal someone, but when a person's close to death, Patton uses most of his energy to save them. Logan and Roman make sure Patton doesn't use too much, because using too much of his energy could kill him or render him unconscious for a long time. Logan lightly smiled and kissed the top of his head, still getting used to the warm feeling in his chest that he got whenever he was near Patton or Roman.
"What should we do with him?" Roman asked, speak of the royal, walking up to the other heroes that were by Anxiety's side.
"Well, take him to our place, of course." Patton, although exhausted, bounced happily. Logan raised an eyebrow and watched the bubbly hero with a deadpanned look, while Roman looked at Patton as if he was crazy. If you think about it, they were just gonna let a villain, who has ties to two others, stay at their home while they nurse him back to full health, then he can easily escape their grasp and go back to the other two to tell them where the heroes stay, and then the heroes will be in trouble. All that ran through Roman's head seriously fast, and he decided to voice his concerns, he should protect his boyfriends.
"Are you seriously considering this?! He will betray us, no doubt. I say we leave him and let his crooked friends pick him up." Roman turns his nose up and looked away from Anxiety.
"Roman! I can't believe you just said that! We're the heroes, we help everyone. Including the- the- *yawn* the villains." Patton stated the last sentence in his firm dad voice and tried (but failed) to hold back a yawn, he felt hurt that Roman would say and do such a thing. Roman felt hurt and frustrated, his boyfriends weren't listening to him, they could be in danger! Don't they see that?
"I am in favor of Patton's opinion, we should help Anxiety, maybe we could change his opinions about his companions." Logan spoke up. Dang it! Roman was outvoted, he sighed and very reluctantly agreed, not wanting to fight with them. Patton cheers and offered to carry Anxiety, but Logan said he'd be the one carrying Anxiety. Patton is too exhausted and can barely support himself and Roman might purposefully drop him the moment all of them step through the door of their apartment. Logan picked Anxiety up bridal style, since that's really the only way he could carry Anxiety, and he was really concerned for the small villain when Logan barely struggled under his weight.
"Wow, nerd. Have you been working out or something without me knowing?" Roman teases Logan, seeing how easily he lifted Anxiety up. To be honest, Roman found it... hot.
"You wouldn't be joking around if you felt how light he is, and I told you, carrying all those books from the library is a workout of sorts." Logan chided, his face heated up at the smirk Roman was giving him. The argument could've kept going, but Patton stepped in between them and suggested they get a move on. Roman picked up Patton bridal style because he was shorter than Roman and Roman didn't want to have Patton sling his arm over Roman's shoulder, either he would have to crouch or Patton would be two feet off the ground and dangling by his arm. Roman gave Patton a peck on the cheek, making him blush and giggle like a school girl, Roman found that adorable about him. So Logan didn't feel left out, even though he tends to say he doesn't need as much affection, as Roman walked past with Patton in his arms they both kissed him on the cheek and continued walking.
Logan was the last to step through the door of their apartment and he immediately laid Anxiety on the couch and told Patton to go to his room and get some rest, but Patton refused and said he felt better. Logan reluctantly let him stay and went to his room where, despite being the OCD nerd he is, papers, pencils, and books were scattered everywhere. Logan sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, feeling frustrated his room was in such a state, before he remembered what he was doing. Logan had taken off his superhero outfit and put on his unicorn onesie, not really in the mood to wear his usual outfit, but he still put on a necktie to show how serious he is.
"Has he been rendered conscious yet?" Logan asked as he entered the living room, half regretting his decision to wear the unicorn onesie as soon as he entered and saw their amused faces.
"Not yet," Patton said, "but I think he might soon." Logan told Patton to get something light ready for Anxiety to eat, after asking plenty of times if Patton was alert enough to do so, while he and Roman watched over the young villain as he rested.
"Why do you think he chose to be a villain?" Roman asked, examining Anxiety and just being overall curious. He walked next to Logan and draped an arm over him and put his head on Logan's shoulder, despite being the tallest one of the three Roman sometimes would feel the need to be the little spoon.
"Well, there are many factors: a hero could have done him wrong in the past, he's being misled by Deceit and Sleep, he could be doing it for his own protection, etcetera, etcetera." Logan rambled, thinking that, for once, his dorky boyfriend asked a thought provoking question. But if it was any of those reasons, then why? Why was he treated unjustly by a hero? Why are Deceit and Sleep misleading him? Why is he trying to protect himself?
"I'm going to get my notebook to write some observations, I'll collect more data when he's awake, don't do anything while I'm gone." Logan decided he'd just use Roman's power and quickly made it back into the living room in under five seconds. That made Roman less pouty that Logan left him, but he also figured Logan wouldn't want much more affection and would be a bad boyfriend if he continued to cling onto Logan.
'Day 1
- Feels light, as if he hasn't been eating
- Could possibly be mislead by Deceit and Sleep, trying to protect himself, or to get revenge/right a wrong' Logan closed his notebook and put it on a small table next to a comfortable recliner, then sat down onto said recliner.
"Roman, I suggest you change into more suitable clothing for when Anxiety wakes up, we don't want to alarm him." Logan advises Roman, actually not wanting to scare Anxiety and also not wanting to see Roman in a skin-tight spandex suit more than he has to. Well, what do you expect? Three gay men in one apartment; one of them very egotistical and dramatic, one seemingly emotionless and very smart, and one that's like a father-figure and very emotional, all of them in a poly relationship with each other.
"Why nerd? Can't handle beauty with a booty?" Roman asked, striking a pose and making Logan roll his eyes with a small blush forming on his face.
"Just go." Roman chuckled at how easily angered Logan can be while flustered, even though Logan appears as the stoic and unemotional hero. Roman had come back out in white jeans and a red t-shirt with a golden crown on it, although his timing was both spot on and a little off. As Roman walked back into the living room, Patton was coming out of the kitchen, both of them collided with each other and Patton found himself pinned under Roman.
"You're really handsome." Patton giggles, he then tilts his head back to look at Logan, who was standing over them. Logan felt slightly hurt that Patton lied about not being as tired as he truly is, it was clear that just by doing a little work around the kitchen Patton has let the exhaustion cloud his thoughts. Time to break the fourth wall again, yay! You see, dear readers, we might all have this problem where, if we're still up at a specific time or have been awake for a day or two (who needs sleep? It's summer!), we become completely loopy and have no filter. This is what's happening to Patton, other than it being worrying that he was this drained, it's quite amusing when he gets like this.
"Logy, come join us." Patton whines, lifting his arms and making grabby hands at said boyfriend. Logan looked anywhere else but at Patton, knowing he wouldn't be able to resist Patton when he's pleading.
"Roman, Patton needs rest. He'll probably be out for a day or two." Logan ordered, Roman threw Patton over his shoulder and, after Logan kissed him goodnight on the cheek, Patton was carried to his room by Roman, both were mumbling about how Logan doesn't let them have any fun. Said hero rolls his eyes and goes back to sit in the recliner chair, of course, being the uptight nerd Logan is, he sat straight up in the chair and kept an eye on Anxiety's breathing.
After a few minutes Anxiety's breathing picks, Logan sat attentively and waited.
(This is nothing. Lol!)
Anxiety opened his eyes.
