Happy Valentines day everyone, if you're alone, here are some tips for an enjoyable Valentines day: eat all the chocolate you can, throw breadcrumbs at couples in the park and watch pigeons chase then, and give a gift to your friends to show how much you love and appreciate them. That's all, enjoy this tooth-rotting, fluffy story! (Also, sorry if the paragraphs are off, I'm writing this on the computer).

Virgil had it all planned out! He got the perfect gift for his best friend, Patton, and he's really excited to give it to him on V-Day. Most people think it's just for couples, but friends can give each other gifts too!! You! Yes, I'm talking to you, reading this right now! Run to the store and give your closest and most cherished friends a Valentines Day gift to show how much you love and appreciate them! I should get back to the story.

So, both Patton and Virgil are aromantic and asexual, despite Patton being very feelings-y, and Virgil got him a gift to show just how much he loves and appreciates Patton as his best friend. Virgil's plan was to get to Patton's house while Patton was staying after (he has a key to Patton's house), make a trail of Dove chocolate hearts that lead to the living room, and create a pillow/blanket fort in the living room and get all of Patton's favorite Disney movies out to watch together.

Now, Patton was oblivious to all this, Patton was going to give Virgil a cute little teddy that reminded him of Virgil and a chocolate rose. Yeah, romantic gifts for non-romantic people, it's great. So, Patton went to the store, bought his gifts for Virgil, and kept them at home; the chocolate rose in the fridge and the teddy bear in his room on his dresser so he'd remember it.

"*gasp* I should make a card for Virgil as well! He'll like it, right?... Yeah, he'll love it!" Patton laid on his bedroom floor and folded a nice, blank piece of paper to make the card. On the front he put "Happy Vee Day" and drew a picture of him and Virgil together holding the aromantic and asexual pride flags, and on the inside he wrote "Virgil, you are the greatest friend I could ever ask for, and if you say otherwise I will physically fight you! Thanks for always being here for me, and I promise I will always be there for you. Happy Virgil-tines day <3! Your best friend, Patton." He sat back and admired his card, Virgil will love this!! Patton put his card with the teddy and did homework, ate, showered, and then crawled into bed with a huge smile on his face.

Virgil was already at their usual spot at lunch, and Patton could tell there was something in his lap. Patton smiled and made sure his gifts were hidden behind his back, then walked over and sat down in front of Virgil.

"Happy Valentines Day Virgil!" Patton chirped, giving Virgil his gifts. Patton was actually kind of nervous about the card, but his worries were eased when Virgil looked up at Patton with a smile specifically reserved for him.

"Thanks Pat, I love it. Now, here's your gift." Virgil pulled out a stuffed dog with glasses, a blue shirt, a gray cardigan, and some beige khakis. Patton let out a squeal of delight and cuddled the stuffed animal close.

"Oh, I love it Virgil! Did you make this yourself?" Patton asked, Virgil nodded, smiles were still on both of their faces. The rest of the day went by relatively normally, straight couples were constantly making out in the halls (gross) and the hall monitors would remind them to get to class. Virgil hopped on his bike and rode to Patton's house (he always rides his bike to and from school) and entered Patton's house, Patton's mom greeted him and Virgil said "hello" to her.

He put down the chocolate, and started to make the fort. How can Patton do this so easily?! He doesn't have to do anything to hold the blankets up, and Virgil's using clips because they keep falling off the chair! Virgil finally finished the fort, he put down a bunch of pillows on the floor and a blanket over the pillows. Now for the snacks; Virgil made some cookies and put down two bowls of popcorn with m&m's. Virgil got the movies out, now all he has to do is wait for Patton to get home, which will be in-

"Hi mom, I'm home." -riiight now. Virgil must have lost track of time, but last he checked it was only 3:45, and Patton usually gets home around 4:30.

Patton breathed in deeply, a large smile made its way onto his face when he smelled popcorn and cookies. Oh, those are some of the best sugary treats, along with ice-cream and chocolate and I should really get back to the plot.

"Mmm, something smells good. Oh, what's this?" Patton found his chocolate trail, he followed it. Virgil saw him come into the living room with his hands full of the Dove chocolate hearts, and when Patton saw the set-up Virgil did for him his heart warmed. Patton dropped the chocolates and jumped onto Virgil, wrapping his arms and legs around him. Virgil stumbled back a bit, but he could easily hold smol Patton.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you Virgil! Was this your plan all along?" Patton catches onto things quickly, Virgil nods.

"Yeah, but I still got you something because I didn't want you to feel bad and make you think I didn't get you anything." Patton just hugged tighter, squealing and thanking Virgil over and over again. Then he spotted the movies. With the speed of an excited anime character, Patton shot off Virgil and examined the movies excitedly.

"*gaaaaaasp* Winnie The Pooh! Can we watch this first?!" Virgil couldn't even speak, Patton was so adorable when he's excited, he just nodded and Patton cheered. Virgil laid beside Patton and they watched Winnie The Pooh, Patton sung along to all the songs and knew all the times Pooh was going to say "there's a rumbly in my tumbly," it was honestly adorable. Whenever Patton said the line Virgil would poke Patton's stomach, Patton would giggle and curl up at the action.

It was now pretty late, Patton and Virgil were very sleepy in the fort. Virgil's mom knows that he's staying over Patton's house, so he didn't have to worry about her worrying where he is. Patton and Virgil were cuddled up to each other, the movies all done and the room was dark, save for a lamp in the corner of the room.

"Thanks for this, Virge. Love you." Patton yawned, "Happy Valentines Day."

"You're welcome, Pat. Happy V-Day, and I love you too. We should get some sleep." Patton nodded and the both of them fell into a peaceful sleep, clinging to each other. Two friends. True friends. On a perfect day.
