A Day With Patton-famILY (and some parental Logicality)
That is my Patton drawing, I'm very proud with how it turned out!...Okay, I've looked at it for a while and now hate it... but enjoy the story! Also, this is before the Putting Others First video.
Warning: cursing, Remus, and it's long af.
Patton skipped happily towards Logan's bedroom, the logical side being the last one he needed to check on before bed. He knocked on the door, three soft knocks with the knuckle of his pointer finger, but was confused when he didn't get an answer. Usually, Logan would still be up and working, making Patton force Logan to stop working and go to bed.
"Logan? Darling? I'm coming in." Patton warned Logan, because the father-like trait knows that Logan doesn't like anyone to enter his room without his permission. Patton slowly opened the door and half expected Logan to be at his desk, but was pleasantly surprised when he saw the trait asleep halfway on his bed. His feet were planted on the floor with shoes still on them, tie and glasses still on as well, so he must've sat down and flopped back on his bed, not expecting to fall asleep.
Patton cooed softly, walking up to the side just a little younger than him, and took off his glasses, tie, and shoes. Patton gently shifted the side so he would be fully on the bed, taking Logan's blankets out from under him and covering him with them since Logan's room tends to be cold. Patton kisses his forehead and was just about to head out of the logical traits room when an object on Logan's desk caught his eye, it was a short glass filled to the brim with a clear sparkling substance, like sparkling water. Patton walked up to it and picked it up, assuming Logan must've kept it here for hydration. Patton put the glass back down on the desk, but some of the water spilled over the edge and onto Patton's fingers. Patton didn't want the water to drip on the floor, so he licked the water off his fingers.
The water tasted sweet, like honey sweet. This confused Patton. How does the water not have a bit of color to it? Was Logan sick? Patton remembered how he acted today, and he also felt Logan's forehead with the hand he didn't lick. Nope, not sick. Patton shrugged and decided he would figure it out in the morning, he quietly closed the door to Logan's room and ventured into his own. He snapped his fingers and his cat onesie was on, he flopped into his bed among his fluffy blankets and stuffed animals and fell asleep.
————————————————————
That morning, everyone was woken up by crying. Loud crying. More like wailing than crying. Or are they the same thing? Probably not.
"It is six in the damn morning! Who is wailing at this fucking hour!?" Virgil, very angry and tired, opened his door and stepped into the hallway. Logan, also tired, opened his door and looked down both ways, spotting a disgruntled Virgil.
"My beauty rest is officially disturbed!" The both heard Roman scream, then the door to the princely side's room was thrown open and out stepped Roman. He had a green paste over his face, except for around his eyes, and his pajamas consisted of a silky white shirt and pants with little gold crowns all over them. Even the Others were disturbed by the loud wailing. Janus had a yellow and black robe wrapped around him, and the exact same green paste as Roman was on the human side of Janus' face. Virgil looked between Roman and Janus with a glare.
"What? Roman doesn't let me borrow the cream. Even for a 'dark' side, as Roman didn't put it, it's important to look your worst." Janus' lying is usually out of control when he's tired, so he of course lied. No one was prepared for Remus's bedtime look, or lack of one. Remus seems to have slept in his strong suit, which, if you all remembered DWIT, was his birthday suit. Everyone looked up or turned away, trying not to stare at Remus as he stood there proudly. Even the non-cannon sides were disturbed, Remy burst through the front door, having been out all night, and Emile stepped out of his room/office that was across from Remy's room and bordered in between the "light" and "dark" sides. They both tried not to focus on Remus as well.
"Where is that noise coming from?" Remy angrily asked, completely pissed that he had to come back here to make sure Thomas stayed asleep.
"I suggest Patton's room, he's the only one who didn't come out upon the crying." Logan said, pondering over why Patton hasn't come out yet. Logan knows the over emotional side would be the first one up and knocking all their doors down to find the source of the crying, and then comfort them to death - figuratively of course, since Patton wouldn't want to hurt anyone. They all crowded around Patton's door, trying to stay as far away from Remus as possible even though he covered himself with his tentacles, Logan opened the door and everyone stepped in. The crying was louder now, unbearably loud for Janus and Virgil, said sides exited the room and waited outside.
"Wouldn't Patton be awake by now?" Logan asked, looking around the room to see if he could find a crib or something, since it was determined from the start that it was a baby's cry.
"I think he already is, nerd." Roman said, looking down on Patton's bed as if he's seen a ghost. Logan stepped up beside Roman, not understanding what he meant until he followed Roman's eye-line to the place his eyes were trained on. Logan's stomach dropped when he saw what Roman was looking at, the crying has changed into faint sniffles upon both sides coming into the eye-line of...well, of baby Patton. He looked around one, wearing the cat onesie that has shrunk down with him, and instead of the normal dark brown eyes all the sides have to match their host, Patton's eyes were a sparkling baby blue.
————————————————————
"How did he get like this? What will happen to Thomas? Is this permanent? What if he stays like this forever?" Virgil was pacing back and forth in front of the couch, where baby Patton was sitting on Logan's lap watching the anxious side. Beside Logan sat Roman on his left and Emile on his right, both were cooing and fawning over the moral side. Janus sat in between Remus and Roman, separating them and keeping Remus as far away from Patton as possible, and Remy sat on Emile's other side.
"I'm afraid this might have been my error. I've been working on a concoction and finally completed it, and when I sat down on my bed I didn't expect to fall asleep. Patton must have come into my room to check up on me, and took a sip." Logan concluded, "was I correct?" Logan asked, looking down at Patton, who just tilted his head in confusion, and tried to grab Logan's glasses with a large, toothy smile. Logan looked up at Virgil in order to stop Patton from getting his glasses while Roman gushed about how cute Patton was. Logan admits he is adorable, but he curses himself for allowing this to happen. If Logan hadn't fallen asleep, then his romantic partner - husband wouldn't be a one year old right now. Yeah, Patton considers them husbands, and honestly Logan would as well, but then never "tied the knot," as one would say. Patton and Logan agreed they didn't need to, despite Roman asking and slightly pestering them about it.
"How long will this last?" Virgil snapped Logan out of his thoughts. He sounded pretty desperate to know the answer, and Logan didn't judge Virgil, he knew how much the anxious aspect relied on the fatherly trait.
"If my calculations were correct when I finished the mixture, which they were, it would last for seven days exactly." Logan concluded, mentally keeping in mind to have the now defenseless Patton far away from Remus based on the demented look he has while staring at Patton.
"I call looking after him!" Roman and Emile yelled at the same time, making Patton look from one to the other repeatedly and causing his glasses to slip down his nose. Logan sighed in annoyance, thinking how incompetent they can sometimes be, and fixed Patton's glasses.
"Do any of you even know how to look after a baby?" Logan asked, they all just shrugged.
"C'mon Logan, pleeeaaaaaaaassseeee?" Roman and Emile beg, dragging out the 'please', taking breaths when they run out of air and continuing to drag out the word, or really the vowel, until Logan finally caved.
"Fine!" Roman and Emile cheered, "I'll give you a quick rundown. If he is crying, first check his diaper, then - if it's clean - pat his back, if he doesn't burp then try feeding him, and if he's not hungry then he's tired. If that the case, gently rock him and softly sing something soothing. Since he's probably a little over one - perhaps a few months - he should be walking and talking soon, so be careful what you say around him." Logan directed this at Remus mostly, but also had some indication for Virgil because he sometimes swears and Janus might manipulate Patton somehow as revenge for the courtroom scene.
"And keep a close eye on him because once he starts walking he'll be even harder to keep track of. For food, he has teeth, so he'll be able to eat solid foods, just make sure you have it cut up into small bits so he won't choke. He'll need an average of eleven to thirteen hours of sleep, so - this is depending on how much he slept and if he woke up during the night - put him down for a two hour nap after breakfast, and a two hour nap during three preferably. And that's all." Logan concluded, Emile was taking notes on his notepad he uses during cartoon therapy videos, and Logan was further surprised when he noticed that Janus was also taking notes. Janus passed around the notes, and Logan rolled his eyes as everyone else just took pictures of them.
"I got dibs on having him first!" Roman yelled, then swiped Patton off Logan's lap and spun him around. Logan so badly wanted to be annoyed at Roman, but all he could do was try and keep an annoyed face - or hide his smile like Virgil's doing - as Patton giggled and squealed loudly while Roman spun him around. Once Logan was finally able to compose himself, he stood up and quickly snatched Patton from Roman's hands.
"You must be careful with him Roman!" Logan lectured, holding Patton the right way, one arm over his back and the other arm under his bottom, and bounced him a little, fixing Patton's glasses once more. Patton apparently didn't like that Logan stopped his fun, he started squirming in Logan's arms and made grabby hands at Roman. Logan got the message and handed Patton back to Roman, after warning him to be careful.
"Jeez nerd, even when he's a baby you still bore Patton." Roman teased, Logan just ignored him and straightened his glasses, which are the only things he straightens out in his life.
"Come Patton, let's go on a glorious adventure!" Patton was then whisked away by Roman, who was holding Patton above his head and making whooshing noises as if Patton was flying.
"Five bucks Roman gets in trouble before lunch." Virgil mumbled to Janus.
"I'll take that bet." Janus replied, shaking Virgil's hand shortly before they both quickly took their hands back as if they touched hot coals. Logan sighed and took off his glasses, then pinched the bridge of his nose, it seemed that he was living with immature adolescents.
————————————————————
Day 1
"Are you ready for the greatest adventure in your life, Padre?" Roman asked as he strapped his sword to his side and whisked Patton up, Patton really had no idea what Roman said, but all he knew was that it was fun based off of Roman's tone. Patton squealed and giggled as Roman swung him around, then burst into laughter as Roman pulled Patton to his chest and tickled his stomach and sides, Roman let out a few soft chuckles as he found Patton's laughter contagious. Roman stopped to let Patton catch his breath, he held Patton the way Logan did and walked down the hall to the door that led to the Imagination. Roman stepped in and let Patton look around in wonder, he made his way to an open field and set Patton down to let him crawl around. Roman made sure to watch Patton, keeping Logan's warning in his mind, but then a smooth voice distracted him.
"Didn't we already train this morning?" A male voice sighed out. He was taller than Roman, wearing dark brown pants and a black shirt that was tucked in and had those cool sleeves that drape down at the end, the black shirt's collar was dipped low, so part of the man's chest was visible. There were a few scaly spots on his chest and there were some on the backs of his hands and going up his arms. Patton looked up at the new person with a large grin, confused, but happy. The man looked over at baby Patton, still in his cat onesie with adorably big, round glasses, and let out a sigh.
"Did my sister curse you again?" Patton pouted and tilted his head in confusion. Why was he being ignored? Roman looked over at him and Patton grinned again. Yes! Give him attention!
"Nope! It was the nerd's doing, we have a full week with this little fluff ball." Roman picked Patton up and balanced him on his hip. Patton became entranced with the shiny things on Roman's shoulder and began tracing the patterns of gold, not paying attention to what they were saying. Patton didn't expect Roman to place him on the ground again, he looked up at the princely man and whined to be picked up again, confusion swimming in his eyes.
"Don't worry Patton, neither of us will get hurt!" Roman declared, Patton had no idea what he was talking about. Hurt? Were they going to do something dangerous? Out of the corner of Patton's eye he saw something, he turned his head to see Remus waving at him. Patton looked back at Roman and the man only to see Roman fighting off a huge dragon, the violence frightened Patton and he crawled as quickly as he could to the man dressed in green.
"Awww! Does baby Patton not wike the violence?" Remus asked in a baby voice, Patton shook his head 'no' with a frown. Patton shaking his head caused his glasses to slip down his nose a little, Remus chuckled and fixed them for him. Remus may be "Dark" Creativity, but that doesn't mean he can't be child safe for Patton.
"Well, how about we make flower crowns?" And for the next half hour Remus helped Patton make a crown out of beautiful light blue flowers he summoned, Roman isn't the only one with summoning power in the Imagination, and he's not the only one who can summon pleasant things. Okay, maybe Remus was trying to teach Patton to say "fuck" the whole time and was only getting baby babble in return. And maybe he was thinking about what would happen if Patton just ate a flower that happened to have a bee on it and the bee would sting Patton from the inside and then die, but that's a big if because Remus isn't letting any bees get close to Patton because he doesn't want to make mama Logan mad....and he wanted to prove everyone wrong! Everyone thinks he can't be child friendly, but look at Roman!
P: "But will they punish Thomas?"
R: "HEY-OH!"
~
R: "May visions of sugarplums dance in your head and hopefully not visions of your naked Aunt Patty."
~
R: "Ho, ho, ho! Merry Bitchmas everyone!" "Don't forget to kiss under the Bitchletoe." "Maybe make yourself a little Snowbitch." "And look, there's your sleigh, led by Rudolph the red nosed reignbitch!" "Then all of us have a Snowbitch fight." "No one can bitch any mas than you, Logan!"
~
R: I believe he's suggesting that you beat someone up and rob their unconscious body, right?"
J: ...NO!!
~
R: "You always do your best thinking in the shower...so get naked? Everyone get naked."
V: "No! Stop! No one is getting naked!"
Yeaaahh...see what Remus means? Oh! it looks like Roman's almost done, Remus quickly scooped up Patton and placed him where he was before. Patton whined, wanting to be picked up again and away from the violence, but Remus quickly disappeared. Roman walked over to Patton, who looked up and pouted at Roman.
"Awww, Patton, don't fret over me, I'm fine. Not a single scratch on me." Roman mistook Patton's adorable pout for worry, so Patton narrowed his eyes to make it more obvious that he was actually mad at Roman. The princely trait finally got it through his thick skull that Patton was mad at him, so he summoned a stuffed dog toy and smiled as a wide grin spread over Patton's face. Roman hummed as he walked out of the Imagination and into his room, he hung up his sword only to take it off of the pegs holding it up and swing it around because something had burst into his room. Roman sighed in relief as he saw that it was only Logan, putting his sword back on it's stand, he turned around and faced the angry looking nerd.
"Roman, what were you thinking!? How could you bring Patton into the Imagination?! There are multiple creatures that could harm him there, not to mention the infinite amount of possibilities of what could happen to Patton if he wandered off! What were you thinking, Roman!? Wait, I already asked you that question, and don't answer it either! I can't believe I trusted you with Patton! I gave you an inch and you took a mile!" Logan's mom-rant was cut off when Remus popped in.
"Janus can take in much more than that~" (I'm so sorry) Roman groaned in annoyance and covered his ears, but before Logan could yell at him Remus disappeared. Despite the innuendo, they found out Janus' snake like aspects go beyond the scales and hissing and being cold-blooded, and in a pretty horrifying way too. It was actually Roman that caught Janus swallowing a watermelon whole, first he screamed, then fainted when Janus got scared and his instinct was to regurgitate it back up and run. Of course the others found out and were curious, eventually Janus had to do that one magic trick with endlessly pulling out multiple colored cloth out of his mouth. Logan sighed and just turned and walked out of the room, leaving Roman to his guilt.
'Logan's right. What if Patton had wandered off and encountered the Griffins? Or the other Dragon-Witch? I was so stupid to have taken him there! I should've been watching him!' Roman was sitting on his bed with his head in his hands, Patton could feel the guilt in Roman. He frowned, he didn't want Roman to be sad. Patton didn't want to crawl all the way over to Roman, that would take too long, so he grabbed the side of the bed and stood up. One step in front of the other, Patton's chubby little legs shook from the effort of keeping himself up, but he had the support of the bed beside him. He finally made it to the side Roman was on and let go of the bed, he started to walk towards Roman without the help of the bed. Roman looked up when he felt a weight on his left knee, he looked down to find Patton standing while using his leg to support him. Roman grabbed Patton's hand and placed it on the bed beside Patton. He was shocked. Did Patton just walk all the way around Roman's bed? Roman backed away a few feet, leaving a confused Patton staring at Roman. Roman got out his phone and pressed record, he wants to get this for the others.
"C'mon Patton, come to Roman." Roman softly coaxed Patton, who was still very confused. Patton took one step forward and Roman smiled widely, another step and Roman was still smiling. Patton smiled at his achievement of cheering Roman up and wanted to cheer him up even more, Patton walked the rest of the way and into Roman's arms.
"You did it, Cookie! You did it!" Roman cheered as he picked Patton up and spun him around, laughing with Patton's squeals and giggles. Roman quickly fixed Patton's glasses and ran out to the kitchen, Patton definitely deserves a treat. Roman placed Patton in his chair, colored light blue with cat and dog faces on it, and chuckled when he realized that Patton was too small, the top of his head barely went over the table. Roman once again picked Patton up and snapped his fingers, a foam booster seat appeared on Patton's chair and Roman placed Patton on it. Roman glides around the table to where they hid the cookies from Patton, getting Patton one and himself because he definitely earned it. When Patton saw what Roman was getting he started bouncing and laughing in delight, awaiting his delicious treat. Roman smiles at him and grabs two paper towels for their cookies, then he breaks Patton's cookie into smaller pieces so he won't choke. He sat in Virgil's seat, a black chair with violet colored veins, next to Patton's because Roman didn't want to be in his own glorious chair that was one of the furthest ones from Patton.
Around the dining table, each of the Sides have their own chairs. Virgil's was next to Patton's, which was next to Logan's at the head. Logan's chair was a nice dark blue, just plain and simple. Across from Patton and on Logan's other side was Janus, his chair was a bunch of different snakes with a golden yellow background. Next to Janus was Remy, his chair was black with a bunch of Starbucks coffee orders in white text. Remus was next to Remy, his chair wasn't allowed to be a trash bag and he wasn't allowed to have crude things on it, so Remus had painted tentacles going up his chair legs and up the back of his chair instead. Roman, next to Remus, was at the other end of the table, his chair wasn't allowed to be a golden throne because Logan said they all must be the same kind of chair or else Remus' chair would be a garbage bag, so Roman just had his regular chair golden instead. And on Roman's other side, next to Virgil as well, was Emile, his chair was pink and blue. Each of the Sides had their symbols on the back of their chairs, but since Emile and Remy aren't canonically Sides, their symbols are a Starbucks cup and a notepad.
Roman was nibbling on his cookie while Patton was trying to scarf down every cookie piece he could get his chubby hands on, he was only trying because Roman was always stopping him and telling him to slow down.
"Dude, my seat. Up and out." A disgruntled voice sounded behind them, Roman looked back to find Virgil glaring at him.
"Apologies, Red Riding Mood. I'll just sit in the nerd's seat instead." Roman got up, went around Patton, and sat down in Logan's seat. Roman continued to eat his cookie and watching Patton to make sure he doesn't choke, although Roman was disappointed to see that he had finished his cookie in two quick bites.
"By the way, thanks for pissing off Logan this early in the morning, I won the bet against Janus." Virgil smiled proudly, Roman just rolled his eyes.
"Wow, nice to know you have so much faith in me." He sarcastically drawls, Virgil just shrugged in response, "Well, while you were winning a bet, Patton was walking towards me, so I think the real winner of today is me." Roman sassily continued, flipping his fluffy hair back. Virgil looked at him, skeptical.
"Really? Patton walked toward you? I'm gonna need some proof if that really happened." Virgil leaned back in his chair and stretched, Roman took out his phone and played the video as he placed it in front of Virgil.
"Holy shit, he did!" Virgil exclaimed, staring wide eyed at the screen. Roman smiled smugly and held his hand out for his phone.
"See? Told ya so." Roman's voice was smug, but his smiled sort of dropped a little when Virgil didn't give him back his phone. Instead, Virgil shot out of his chair and ran into the living room with Roman's phone, Roman shot up and went after him, both of them nearly ran into Logan as he was walking into the kitchen. Patton giggles as both Roman and Virgil ran out, allowing him to stuff his face with the cookie bits. But he was stopped when Logan pushed Patton's hand away from his mouth, Patton whined in disappointment and looked up at Logan with puppy eyes.
"No, you need to have lunch first. I don't doubt that Roman hasn't actually fed you yet." Logan rolled his eyes, still fuming about the incident that occurred earlier, then he put Patton's cookie pieces where he couldn't get them and started making lunch. It was very difficult to resist his big pleading eyes, but Logan has dealt with them before when Patton was an adult, and gave in most of the time. He didn't mean to yell at Roman, but Logan just got scare about what could've happened to Patton, despite said side being fine. He shook his head and continued getting Patton's lunch ready.
Logan decided that maybe the penne pasta left over from last night would be okay to have, so he warmed it up, cut the pasta into smaller bits, and sat next to Patton and started to feed him. Patton turned his head away and Logan missed, the buttered pasta on the fork hitting Patton's chin instead. Logan sighed and tried again. And again. And again. And again once more. Patton wouldn't eat the pasta, he still had his mind on those cookie pieces that were pushed away from him. Logan put the fork in the bowl and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, forehead resting on his hands and his elbows resting on the table to keep him up. He looked at Patton, who was looking at him in confusion.
"If you're waiting for me to do the 'airplane' or the 'choo-choo train', forget it." He said, Patton just looked over at the cookie pieces and then back to Logan.
"I won't give you those until you eat." Logan said, picking up the fork, stabbing a piece of pasta and, once again, tried to get Patton to eat actual food. Patton still refused to eat it, Logan may have to resort to doing the silly "airplane" or "choo-choo train". But he was saved when Roman came back in, shoving his phone back into his pocket. Logan threw the fork in the bowl, walked up to Roman with the bowl in hand, and shoved the bowl into his chest.
"Patton is still your responsibility today, you try getting him to eat." And Logan walked away, grumbling under his breath how careless it was of him to have left the concoction out in the open. Patton watched him go with a frown, sensing all the negative emotions in him. But Roman sat down and Patton smiled at him, then turned towards the cookie pieces and pointed to them while making a small whining noise. Roman shook his head.
"Sorry, Cookie, I can't give you that until you eat some actual food," Roman apologetically looked at Patton as Patton gave him pleading eyes, "Now, open wide." Patton refused, Roman tried again and again. He was having just as much luck as Logan did, so he did the thing Logan refused to do.
"Here comes the airplane! Brrrrrr." Roman rolled his tough to make that noise since he found it hard to do with his lips, not to mention that spit comes out when he does that, and it's not very prince like to spit. Patton's eyes followed the food and when it was close enough he actually opened his mouth and ate it, a smile stretched across Roman's face at his accomplishment of getting Patton to eat. Patton had a few more bites before he refused to eat unless Roman was making the airplane noise, this went on until Patton had finished eating and was now throwing his entire body onto the table in the direction of his abandoned cookie pieces.
"Okay, okay," Roman chuckles, "I get it, you want your cookie." Roman slid the napkin over to Patton and made sure he didn't stuff his face and choke, and when he was done Roman picked Patton up and burped him like Logan said.
"Oh boy, it's nap time for you, Cookie." Roman chuckled as he saw Patton yawn, he held Patton the normal way and made his way to his room, summoned a cradle, and placed Patton in it. When Patton was properly put down Roman went over to his bed, deciding that he should rest up as well. He got settled and closed his eyes.... then the crying started. Roman's eyes snapped open and he walked over to Patton's cradle, Patton's crying died down to faint sniffles as Roman stood there for a minute, but when he walked away it started back up again. Roman picked him up and looked at Patton as he was resting on the prince's hip.
"What's the matter, Cookie?" Roman asked, but Patton gave no verbal answer. Roman checked his diaper, nothing, and Patton just ate, so he wouldn't be hungry. Does Patton not like the quiet? Or maybe Patton wants his stuffed dog? Roman picked up Patton's dog plushy and Patton clutched to it like it was his lifeline, and then Roman snapped his fingers and a crib mobile (I had to look up what it was called, lol) appeared over Patton's crib and was already spinning slowly and playing soft music. Roman put Patton down once again and went back to his own bed, but Patton started to cry again. Roman let out a groan of frustration and got up to peer down at Patton, who's cries died down upon seeing Roman again.
"What. Is. The. Matter. Cookie?" Roman was getting very frustrated, then he groaned, knowing that he's going to have to go to Logan to get help. He sent him a quick text and the logical side rose up next to him in a few seconds.
"He is refusing to go to sleep?" Logan asked Roman, looking down at Patton, who smiled up at the new person who came in and was paying attention to him.
"What part of 'Come help me, I can't get him to sleep.' did you not understand?" Roman asked, deadpanned and exhausted just at the thought that having baby Patton won't be just giggles and fun like he'd expected.
"Well, did you check his diaper?" Logan asked, Roman rolled his eyes.
"Yes." His tone was exasperated, and there was definitely attitude.
"Did you burp him?" Roman, once again, rolled his eyes at Logan's question.
"Yes, I did all the standard things, I even gave him his stuffed dog and some noise. He still. Won't. Sleep." Roman growled, Patton whined, sensing that Roman was angry.
"Well when does he keep crying?" Logan asked.
"Whenever I go to my bed." Roman informed Logan, who nodded, his mouth forming thin line.
"That involves leaving his sight, and the solution to that is very simple. You'll have to bring him with you into bed." Logan says, he picked Patton up and placed him in Roman's arms.
"Well, the problem is solved, I'll see you both at dinner." Logan sank out, leaving Roman and Patton to their nap. Roman walked over to his bed, taking small, light steps and softly singing in spanish, trying to lull Patton to sleep once again. Roman sat down with Patton on his chest, leaning against the headboard, but not going to sleep just yet. Roman made sure Patton was fully asleep before laying the three-year-old down next to him, then he shifted down the bed so he was fully lying down. Roman kissed the top of Patton's head and shut his eyes, automatically grabbing Patton's small hand before drifting off to sleep.
Patton had woken up a few hours later, he let out a big yawn and stretched as much as his body allowed, then sat up and looked around, feeling very bored within a minute of waking up. He looked down at a still sleeping Roman and crawled over to wake him up, Patton wanted attention and he was hungry. Patton put his hands on Roman's face and pushed his head down into the bed and let it back up, then pushed down on Romans head again, that definitely woke Roman up. Patton let out a whine, he's hungry, feed him Roman! The princely aspect sat up with a loud groan and stretched, sitting upright after hearing the satisfying pops of his back and shoulders. Patton whines again, catching Roman's attention.
"What's wrong, Cookie?" Roman got an answer when he heard Patton's stomach growl, he chuckled and picked Patton up before whisking him out of his room.
"You're hungry, aren't you? Well, Lolo and Virge are cooking dinner right now, and it'll be ready soon," Roman told Patton, who was trying to understand all those words as Roman walked the both of them to the kitchen, "ooor right now." Roman corrected when he saw the food being put on the table. Roman placed Patton in his chair and was going to sit down in his, but Logan asked him to go and get Janus, Remus, Remy, and Emile. Roman goes to the bottom of the stairs and yells up that dinner's ready, Logan sighs in annoyance but says nothing. Patton was the center of attention and discussion all throughout dinner, Roman, Emile, and Remus cooed about him the entire time, Virgil brought up the question again about how this will affect Thomas.
"I mean, if Patton's upset, is Thomas? Will he start acting unusual or weird?" Virgil inquired, he's probably overthinking this like he does with everything else, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
"No, I don't think so. Remember when Roman stupidly summoned the Dragon-Witch," that got an offended Princey noise out of the said side, "and Patton, Roman, and I were turned into kids? Thomas wasn't affected, he just said those aspects of him were mysteriously clouded, but he still could feel them. Patton didn't affect Thomas when he was turned into a kid, he won't affect Thomas now." Logan told Virgil, calming the anxious side down. Virgil wanted to worry about it more, but Logan was right, Thomas will be fine. They'd spent the rest of the night watching a movie and Patton fell asleep on Roman's lap, Roman took Patton up to his room and the both of them went to sleep on Roman's bed.
————————————————————
Day 2
Emile was so excited to have baby Patton next, they'd do so many fun things together! They'd watch cartoons, color, watch more cartoons, play games, and - and... well, that's all Emile thought up. But it'll be fun!! Emile was at the stove, waiting for it to heat up so he could make breakfast. I should explain the food schedule, shouldn't I?
Well, Patton would usually cook on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but due to his current situation Logan took over the cooking. Today, which was Tuesday, Emile cooks, even though he can only really make basic meals, he does his best, and he also helps Patton cook on Wednesdays. Janus cooks on Thursdays, and the other sides were pleasantly surprised that Janus is actually a great cook. Virgil and Roman would cook Saturday and Sunday, they both do equal amounts of work, but Roman would usually take over if Virgil is feeling stressed or had a panic attack earlier. Now that we've established this, the basic meal that Emile is cooking for breakfast is scrambled eggs. Emile felt that this morning was a morning for eggs, and scrambled is the only type he knows to make.
"Good morning Emile!" Roman boomed, gliding into the kitchen with Patton in his arms.
"Hello Roman," Emile said, Roman glanced over his shoulder, "hello little ray of sunshine!" Emile turned away from his cooking for a second to give Patton an eskimo kiss. You know, where you rub noses with the other person? Yeah, that. Their glasses accidentally bumped together, and Emiled let out a small laugh, then he went back to cooking.
After everyone came down and ate, Remus commenting "eggs, the most popular child to eat." and getting a few chuckles, Emile was alone with Patton while Janus washed the dishes. And no, he doesn't use those felt gloves to wash them because that would ruin them, he used the regular rubber gloves. But when he switches them he doesn't let anyone see his hands.
"Do you want to watch some cartoons? Come on, let's watch Steven Universe." Emile said in a soft and high excited voice. He picked up Patton and was bringing him into the living room, but Patton started squirming in his arms. So Emile set him down and let Patton walk next to him, Emile was crouched down and holding Patton's hand so that he wouldn't fall.
The two had watched cartoons for an hour before both of them fell asleep on the couch, they were woken up by Logan, saying Patton should eat something. Emile made himself and Patton sandwiches, after they ate Emile was sitting on the couch while Patton was walking around randomly. As Emile watched Patton, he suddenly got a brilliant idea, Emile picked up Patton and ran towards Roman's room. He needed the prince's summoning powers to help him with what he has planned, Emile knocked on the door and Roman opened it.
"Ah, Emile and our precious Patton! What brings you to my door?" Roman asks, Emile explains to him his plan, and a wide grin spread across his face, "anything for my two favorite puffballs!" He invited them in and with a snap of his fingers a door appeared next to the one they just came through, when the three of them came in Emile gasped in awe and looked around the room with Patton. There were a bunch of small pedestals with different backdrops, and a ton of racks with cute baby costumes and clothes. Patton babbled in delight and Emile walked around with him looking at the clothes.
"Now," Emile turned around at Roman's voice, he was holding up a yellow shirt with a duck hood on it and a pair of light blue overalls, "let the fashion show begin!"
They dressed Patton in all sorts of cute outfits, some princess dresses, a cute baby blue tutu, so many adorable onesies, and Virgil came in and helped them create a punk look for Patton. They had a ton of pictures of Patton in the cute clothes in front of many of the backdrops, and they were definitely going to save it to the family photo folder so Patton can print them and put them in a scrapbook once he's big again. Emile wanted to keep the first outfit on him, the one with the overalls, Roman wanted to keep the adorable pink dress on him, and Virgil wanted to keep Patton's punk look on.
"What is with all the yelling?! I can definitely hear my show over you three." Oh, perfect, a decision maker. Janus was annoyed with the three of them because first off: he couldn't hear his show, second: all the yelling could upset baby Patton, so he came here to stop the argument before it escalated to Patton crying.
"Oh, Janus, perfect timing!" Roman sighed in relief, "we need a tie breaker." Janus raised a brow at that.
"For what exactly?" He was confused and curious.
"Well, you see, I want Patton to be in the cute pink dress, Emile wants Patton to be in the overalls and duck shirt, and Virgil wants him to be in the emo outfit." Roman showed Janus pictures of the three outfits, "and we can't decide so we need a tie breaker." Janus just sighed, done with all of them.
"Why don't you just put the three outfits down and let Patton choose?" The others looked at him confused, and then realization came over them. Janus pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance, why they didn't think of that in the first place was beyond him.
"Now, I'm going back to my show. If I hear arguing over it one more time, I'm silencing you for the next hour, and if Patton cries, it'll be the rest of the week. Got it?" Janus threatens, the others nod, knowing very well the threat was real. Janus nodded and teleported back to his room. The three outfits were set on the floor and Patton was placed a few feet away from them.
"Okay Pat, you can choose the outfit you want to wear for the rest of the day." Emile softly said, then the three backed up and watched Patton make is way over. Patton sat in front of the outfits, looking over them, then he placed his hand on the black shirt with a red guitar, ripped black jeans, the studded leather jacket where the sleeves go halfway down, and the many studded bracelets. Virgil cheered and so did supportive Emile, and Roman groaned in defeat.
Emile came back down to color with a now punk Patton, it took around half an hour to get the clothes on because he was fidgety and excited. Patton was still fidgety and excited, kicking his legs and squealing happily. Emile giggles and sets Patton at the little kiddie table they got, then takes out a few coloring books and a large box of crayons so Patton can color. When Patton finished his first page he looked up at Emile and tilted his head at what he was doing, which was using colored pencils on intricately designed pages. It looked so beautiful and neat, not that Patton knew the concept of either of those words in his current state, but he did know that he wanted his coloring page to look like that. He flipped the first page he colored on, very scribbled and colored over the lines, and started on the next one. And that's how it was for a long while, Emile was too immersed in his own coloring to hear the small grunts Patton would make when he messes up and the crayon slips over the line. Finally Patton managed to color a page without going over the lines, he smiles wide and clapped his hands with a happy squeal, that made Emile look up at what Patton was doing. The baby heart noticed and held up the coloring book, proudly showing Emile that he colored inside the lines.
"Oh my goodness good job sunshine!" Patton giggles at that and went to do another one, very excited. Emile got up and kissed the top of Patton's head after he noticed the time, figuring he should start making dinner.
"You keep doing that sunshine, I'm gonna make dinner." And Patton did just that, so focused on coloring that when he was picked up by Logan the sun was setting. He whined when he was picked up, wanting to practice coloring inside the lines more.
"You can go back to coloring later Patton, right now it's dinner time." Logan sat Patton in his booster seat, then sat in his own. Since Emile was so far away from Patton, Logan decided to feed him. It's not that Logan wouldn't give up his seat, it's just that it would look weird seeing him in a different seat, and no one is bothered to leave their seats in general. The second Patton was finished he whined and pointed to the living room, Logan wiped his mouth and picked him up, then the minute Patton was back at the table he picked up a crayon and went to coloring inside the lines.
Emile went back in the living room and turned on some more cartoons since his hand was tired, strange enough Patton only spared the tv a few glances. It was when he yawned that Emile turned the tv off and picked Patton up, Patton whined as he was pulled away from his coloring and Emile chuckles.
"You're sleepy sunshine, it's bedtime." Patton let out another whine of protest, but that was all he could do, he was too tired to squirm. Emile settled into his bed with Patton on his chest, already asleep, Emile was quick to fall asleep as well.
————————————————————————
It was dark in the room when Patton woke up from his nightmare. Tears filled his eyes and spilled over, he whimpered and opened his mouth, about to start wailing, when he was picked up and bounced a bit.
"Shhh puffball, don't wanna wake the whole house." It wasn't Emile, he was still sleeping. Patton let out a small whimper and clung to the side holding him, a bunch of his shirt fabric clutched in Patton's chubby small hand.
"I know, I could hear that nasty dream you were having. It was wonderful to listen to, your cries are not. How about a late night snack that's hopefully not maggot infested?" Ah, it was Remus, not that Patton could tell since the room was dark, save for the small nightlight in the corner. Patton nodded at the question, not understanding most of what he just said, but knows food is involved and he's feeling a bit hungry. Remus walked into the kitchen and turned on the light, that's when Patton could see it was the Green Man, he liked Green Man. Remus got him some cookies and sat next to Patton in Virgil's seat, knowing how much it would annoy the emo if Virgil ever saw Remus in his seat.
Now, the reason why Remus could hear Patton's nightmare was because that's part of what he stands for. Remus isn't "bad" imagination, just twisted. He is more than just intrusive thoughts, even though that's mostly what he does. He's nightmares, he makes anxiety uneasy, he makes morality uncomfortable, he's vulgar, he drives Thomas' impulse, and he's Thomas' apathy towards certain things. Remus just watched Patton eat his cookies.
"See? I can totally take care of a baby. Don't you think puffball?" Patton grinned up at him and Remus grinned back, taking that as a yes.
"Although if I'm caught like this with you-" Remus poked Patton's side a couple times, causing Patton to squeal and laugh a bit while kicking his legs "-I'll never hear the end of it from Virgil and my vomit inducing brother. So this'll just stay between us okay?" Patton smiles and let out a bit of baby babble before shoving a piece of his cookie against Remus' mouth when he noticed Remus didn't have any cookies. The twisted side chuckles at this and moves Patton's hand away before putting the cookie piece in his mouth.
"Okay okay I'm eating, and I'll take that as a yes." Patton's smile widened when Green Man ate the piece he gave to him. Remus stayed up a little bit longer with Patton, telling the baby one of his stories that he definitely would never be able to tell adult Patton, and a joyful tingle went through him as he noticed Patton was sucked into his story and was listening with a smile. It was the way Remus was telling the story that made Patton listen, he couldn't understand most of the words Green Man was using, but his tone and voice captivated Patton to listen. When Remus finished his story Patton yawned, tired again.
"I think it's back to bed for you puffball." Remus scooped Patton up and snapped his fingers, the crumbs disappeared and Remus walked back to Emile's room. He laid Patton down and disappeared into his own room, Patton soon fell asleep and didn't have another nightmare.

Day 3
Logan was sitting on the floor in front of Patton, a deck of learning cards next to him. Yes, Logan knows that it's illogical to try and teach Patton about colors and words since he'll be back to normal in four more days, but Logan just really, really wants to teach. It's not even a want though, it's something deeper, but not a drive. Patton is better at emotions, he probably would've known.
"Okay, lets start easy Patton." Logan holds up a few cards and names the colors on them very clearly for Patton to understand, "now, which one is the purple?" Patton looked at the cards, and Logan honestly thought he'd choose the right one because he pronounced the word the same when he first announced it. Instead, Patton got up and waddled over to Virgil - he's gotten quite good at walking in such a short amount of time - and placed his chubby hand on a patch. Virgil was just on the couch on his phone, and looked up when he felt a small weight on his side.
"Uhhh, I guess that's correct." Virgil snorted a laugh at that.
"Seriously, why are you doing this Lo? He's gonna be back to normal in four days." Logan didn't answer and placed Patton back in front of the cards. No matter how many times Logan would direct Patton back to the cards, the little heart would continue to choose objects in the room that match the color Logan listed. Logan switched over to animals, thinking Patton couldn't be able to choose anything but the cards. He was wrong.
"Okay Patton, which card is the snake?" Of course, Janus chose this time to be amused by the "progress" Logan was making while Patton was just finding loopholes. So Patton waddled over and put his hand on Janus' knee, looking back at Logan to see if he got it right while Janus was close to laughing. Logan needed a minute to calm down from that one.
"If only Patton was this much of a smart-ass when he's normal, it definitely wouldn't be so much more entertaining around here." Patton was just confused on why Logan was mad, he found the snake like Logan wanted.
"Don't curse around him." Logan warned.
"I didn't curse."
"Okay new game." Logan picked up the cards, then Patton, and went to his room.
"Of course out of everyone, I'm the side you must be difficult for. Although the loophole thing was actually smart." Patton wasn't listening, he was looking around the room. A shiny book caught his attention and he crawled over to it and was just touching the shiny part. Logan noticed and decided he might as well read to Patton, so he picked Patton up and sat down with the little heart on his lap, opened up the book, and started reading to him. A little while into the reading Logan starts bouncing his leg, a habit he picked up and could never get rid of, Patton let out quiet giggles as Logan continued to read, the bouncing was fun. Logan had a faint smile as he read, and chuckles when he noticed Patton's head kept drooping.
Excluding deceit - ahem, in all honesty, it was difficult for Logan to keep his emotions under control in the company of the other sides, but deep down he is scared. He's sure Virgil could tell when they were all deciding what to do with baby Patton on the first day, but the others couldn't tell. His room is the only place he could let his emotions show, where no one could see him. Here he can smile, he can cry quietly, he can be outwardly excited and happy. Although he is slightly smiling while laying down with baby Patton, his voice softening to lull the other to sleep, he wanted to pace in worry. What if his calculations were wrong? What if Patton is actually starting over? And his memories of everyone and everything are gone? And Logan looses him?
Logan shook those worries from his head. No, impossible. He triple checked everything, had the steps on separate sheets of paper in big writing, he made sure every ingredient and stir was accounted for. And Patton's room is still his room, Logan had checked the moment he woke up and hourly the past two days when he wasn't pacing, all the pictures and gifts and stuffed animals are still there. So Patton will return to normal in 4 more days. He has to.
When Patton woke up Logan took him down for lunch, and then went back up in his room. Patton sat on the floor, coloring while Logan was getting some work done, putting on a space documentary on his small tv in his room as background noise. Patton got distracted from coloring and stared at the tv, entranced with the colors and pretty galaxies and planets and stars. Logan looked over when he heard Patton make a cooing noise and almost fell out of his seat in panic, Patton had managed to climb his dresser and was reaching for the tv screen above it. Logan rushed over and picked up Patton, the little heart letting out a whine at that. He wants to touch the pretty colors! Let him touch them Logan!
"Nonono Patton, you could fall. How'd you even get up there? And do it so silently?" Patton just whines and made grabby hands at the tv when it showed the Andromeda galaxy. Logan sat down with him and chuckles at this.
"That is the wondrous Andromeda galaxy." Logan said in sync with the narrator, he can be a bit of a bragger and this is one of those times, he watched it so many times he memorized the whole thing. Patton reached for the screen again and Logan gains a soft smile.
"You can't reach it from here, it's 2.5 million light years away, and it's the nearest one to the galaxy we're in." All Patton understood from that was no, so he gave up and just got entranced by the documentary. Time seemed to pass quickly, and Patton fussed and almost started wailing when Logan paused it for dinner, but then he smelled food and wanted to go down.
"I promise we can resume this after dinner st -...Patton." Logan promised himself no giving baby Patton cute nicknames, he might accidentally slip and call adult Patton what he was just about to call baby Patton in front of the others. Logan is more comfortable with giving Patton affection in private, such as cute nicknames and cuddling. Patton respects this and does the same, although he can't resist hugging Logan whenever he can.
"So, was the education successful away from everyone else? Or was he still not being a smart ass?" Remus cackled at Janus' question.
"Awweee, he's taking after me!" Remus leaned across the table, practically laying on it to pinch Patton's cheek. There were many indignant shouts at that, Remus knocked down glasses and smooshed food underneath him.
"Remus!" Roman shouted as the Duke's foot knocked over his drink, Janus yelled with "Creativity Sanders" after he grabbed his plate so Remus' arm won't crush his food, Emile and Remy yelled as he crushed their food and spilled their drinks, Logan as he jumped up in surprise, and Virgil as he slapped Remus' hand away from Patton. Patton laughs at Green Man's antics, as well as the commotion at the table.
"Don't touch him! We don't know where your hands have been, you could get him sick!" Virgil growled, wiping where Remus touched Patton with a baby wipe.
"Oh I'm sure you know~." Remus wiggles his eyebrows at Virgil, who gags and slams Remus' face in the mashed potatoes. He comes up covered in them and cackling, Patton laughs and purposely face plants in his potatoes, also coming up covered in them.
"Boysss!" Janus yelled with an angry hiss, he and Logan were actually pretty mad...oops.
"Remus! Look at the mess! Look at what Patton did by observing you!" Logan yelled, Remus just laughed and went back to his seat, very dirty.
"Remus, no. Clean up and then you can eat." Remus was about to argue, but he saw both glares the other two parent sides were giving him and decided he actually valued his life and insanity. Remus went up and took a shower, which he probably hasn't done in like a month, and Logan cleaned Patton's face while everyone else cleaned themselves up.
Logan brought Patton back up after dinner so they could finish the documentary, although by the end Logan realized Patton was asleep. He chuckled and turned off the tv, then lowered himself to a comfortable sleeping position.
"Sleep well, star." Well, he failed. Now there's a high chance of him calling Patton that in front of the others. Logan fell asleep, his last passing thought was that by the end of this Patton will never be taken seriously when he's actually mad.

Day 4
Janus was completely nervous about taking care of Patton, it intrigued him really. After breakfast Janus brought Patton up to his room and put the toddler on his bed, watching Patton crawl around on it like he was some strange creature. Honestly he wasn't sure when Patton himself specifically formed, but it definitely wouldn't be when he was this young.
"Hmmm, what to do with you." Janus pondered. He definitely can't watch some of his show with Patton, too much violence, and Logan and Virgil will literally kill him if they found out. Janus gets eye-level with the bed, and Patton crawls over to him and boops his nose.
"Snek." Janus was taken aback, Patton's "first" steps were with Roman and now his "first" word was with Janus. Janus straightened up as a wave of pride washed over him, he smiles a genuine smile and lays across the bed as Patton crawls up to his face to boop his nose again, Janus boops it right back and Patton becomes a giggling mess.
"This definitely isn't too cute." Janus chuckles as Patton tried his hat on, it was quite big on him.
"How about this instead?" Janus put on a smaller version of his hat he just summoned, and put it on Patton's head, Patton giggles and clapped in response.
"Snek!" He cheered.
"That's right, I am. Now can you hiss? Not like this: sssssssss." Patton giggles at the funny face Janus makes when he hissed, and tried to mimic him.
"Tttthhhhhhhhhh." Janus chuckles at his adorable attempt, Patton had his tongue poking out between his teeth.
"Close enough, snakelet."
~
The minute Logan heard Patton spoke, Janus was forced to sit next to Patton as Logan tried to get him to say more words.
"A - pple. Apple, Patton." Logan held up the picture of the green apple in front of Patton.
"Appptttt." Patton babbled.
"Logan, this hasn't been going on for hours, at this point I think he wants an apple." Janus rolled his eyes, "besides, he'll be back to normal in a few more days. So what's the point of this?" He asks.
"The point is to know what to do if Thomas does get a child that can't speak yet." Or, at least, that's what Logan convinced himself of.
"Mhm," Janus wasn't convinced, "or if you and Patton do. Or perhaps to not spend more time with him." Janus casually dropped in.
"That is highly improbable since Patton and I aren't real people." Logan said, pushing up his glasses.
"So it isn't to spend more time with him. How cute, you miss him." Logan huffed at Janus' teasing smirk, he refuses to admit it, but he won't deny it either.
"Just give Patton some lunch." Logan changed the topic, Janus gave him mercy and dropped the matter as well. The rest of the day went smoothly, although Patton started fussing when he had to go to sleep, so Janus had to resort to singing Patton to sleep. He hopes that no one heard him, but Logan did, and - even better, he recorded the whole thing. Patton will definitely want to see it.
————————————————————
The next three days passed by quickly enough for the rest of the sides. Virgil had Patton the fifth day, and at first he was somewhat nervous to take Patton....okay, he was very nervous. What if Virgil dropped him? What if Patton wanders away and Virgil can't find him? Although, he can't do worse than Roman did. Turns out, Virgil didn't have anything to be anxious over. He and Patton slept and played music together, he even brought back Patton's punk look.
The sixth day Thomas had him, having already noticed Patton's strange absence he called up Logan, who explained what happened. And when Logan showed Patton to Thomas, the host wanted to spend some time with him. So, when the day came, Thomas, Talyn, and Joan all played with baby Patton, finding him adorable.
The seventh and final day was Remy's turn, although everyone else tagged along for a nice day out. Logan made them. Everyone was in the Imagination, where there was a nice park to hang out in. Remy helped Patton walk across platforms and go down the slide, he even let Patton have a sip of his Starbucks latte, which Patton didn't like because he wrinkled his cute little nose and let it dribble down his chin. Over the course of the whole week many pictures and videos were taken, and although they adore baby Patton, they want the fun-loving father figure back. When they got back everyone was exhausted, so they ordered pizza for dinner. It was going smoothly when Patton accidentally dropped one of the cut pieces of his slice.
"Fuck." Everyone froze and Logan's fork dropped on his plate in shock. Remus started cackling, leading Virgil, Remy, and Janus to laugh as well.
"Remus!" Logan yelled, shooting up from his chair, "you have 5 seconds." Roman stood up as well, very angry, although Remus was more cautious of Logan rather than Roman.
"Oh shit!" Remus stumbled out of his chair and started running.
"Shit!" Patton repeated with a giggle, causing Virgil, Remy, and Janus to laugh harder.
"That's it!" Logan yelled, running after Remus with Roman following while Emile took his place and tries to teach Patton that those are bad words.
————————————————————————
Patton yawned as he sat up in his bed, he did his usual routine and walked downstairs with a large smile.
"Morning kiddos!" Patton chirped as he passed Roman and Virgil.
"Patton!" Roman yelped, rushing up and hugging him. The fatherly trait happily returned the hug, albeit a bit confused.
"Hi Ro. What happened, did you have a nightmare last night?" Roman shook his head while Virgil sits up.
"What do you mean by last night?" He asked.
"Well, when I checked on Roman last night he seemed fine." Patton said with a shrug, Virgil shared a look with Roman, who had stopped hugging Patton.
"You might want to check the date, padre." Roman said, Patton did so, more confused than before. When he saw what day it was his eyes widened, Patton didn't even know if he was shocked or horrified.
"What?! I slept for 7 days?!" Logan poked his head out of the kitchen at Patton's yell, a bit worried, but relaxes when he saw Patton was fine.
"No, you did not sleep for seven days, Patton." Logan informed, then mumbles to himself, "although I suppose I should note down that you only remember what happened last in your present form." Upon Patton's confused face Logan explains what happened, and showed him pictures and videos.
"Oh gosh." Patton's muffled groan came from behind his hands, where he was hiding his bright pink face.
"If it's any consolation, you were quite adorable." Logan says, causing Patton's blush to darken.
"Thanks." He squeaked out, Logan chuckles and lets Patton be.
"Awww, back to normal already?" Remus whines, hanging over the back of the couch. "Turn baaacck, you adored me as a baby!" Remus continues to whine.
"Oh come on, I still like you kiddo." Patton consoles, Remus just groans in response. Things went back to normal quickly, the routine and schedule was back, and everyone was happy Patton was back to normal. The others love to embarrass Patton with pictures though, and they will never drop it.
10910 words
Bonus:
"Patton and I just express affection differently, it doesn't mean I'm not romantic." Logan says. He was on the couch, Roman and Virgil across from him, and they were arguing about Logan not being romantic. Logan has no idea how they got to this topic either.
"Yeah right, you don't even have a cute nickname for him." Logan rolled his eyes.
"Verbal endearment has nothing to do with this." The logical side claims.
Virgil leaned over and mumbled to Roman, "I bet he does."
"I bet he doesn't." Roman mumbles back.
"If I win, you dress goth for a month." Roman lets out a small gasp.
"Hmm, if I win, any time I start singing a Disney song, you join in." Virgil smirked.
"Deal." They both go back to normal, "hey, Logan, the sun is a what again?" Logan was confused because Virgil should know this, it's basic knowledge, but he pushes his glasses up and answers.
"Star."
"Yes berry?" Patton asked from the kitchen, and with a dark shade of pink dusting his face, Logan realized he was tricked.
"I win, princey. Pay up." Virgil smirked.

Oh boy, this really was a long one. I'm sorry if the ending seems rushed, I just wanted to finish this. But hey, over 10k words, that's amazing! I'm very sorry I haven't been updating this, I've just been really unmotivated and also working on this ridiculously long one. But I'm celebrating getting over 10k total reads! Yaaayy! Also this is to make up for all the birthdays I've missed of the sides, lol.
I got my ears and nose pierced recently, which I'm super happy about. I got a dagger in my left ear, a skull I'm my right one, and my nose stud is smokey quartz, so pretty cool. Also I'm starting to drive, which is scary as fuck bc you gotta be slightly aggressive on the road, but I'm not aggressive at all!
I don't really know when my next update is, but that new Asides video amirite? Like, Remus is so fucking smart and we might have seen a glimpse of the orange side. I thought it was just a filler episode!
Well, that's all I have on my mind for now, byeeeee!
Love you all~
