The Point of No Return

Pairings: Roceit, mentioned Prinxiety

TW: Cheating (???)

"Past the point of no return," Deceit slowly crept out of the shadows, towards Roman, who has quite an assortment of emotion visible on his face. Deceit could see fear, shock, confusion, and intrigue in his eyes alone. To be fair, Deceit did come out of nowhere, alarming Roman who was peacefully practicing away in the dim, empty room.

"No backward glances..." He crept even closer, now only a mere few feet from the prince, "Our games of make-believe are at an end." The deceitful side bellowed, his voice low. Knowing that the prince knew the double meaning he intended for that line.

Roman was falling out of love with the person he swore he will love for all eternity.

Virgil.

"Past all thought of if or when," Deceit could see the slight fear in the prince. For months, he's been forcing himself to love Virgil. He's thought of what will happen if he confessed, or when he will confess. It was all make-believe. "No use resisting..."

The fanciful side could only watch as the other man inched towards him, and before he knew it, Deceit was right in front of him.

"Abandon thought and let the dream descend." By now, they were only separated by a few centimeters. Perhaps Roman really should stop thinking, isn't this what he wants?

"What raging fire shall flood the soul, what rich desire unlocks its door," Oh, he knew exactly what; it was him. What Roman lost for Virgil, he gained for Deceit. Roman's eyes flew to the floor, his lips twitching in guilt. Deceit simply continued, bringing his face closer to Roman's, "What sweet seduction lies before us?"

Roman licked his lips, the closeness of the other bringing nervousness upon him, but Deceit moved away yet again. Roman could only stand still as the other went around him.

"Past the point of no return, the final threshold. What warm unspoken secrets will we learn?" Deceit has returned in his position in front of the prince. Bringing their faces closer once more. "Beyond the point of no return.", Deceit finished, closing his eyes as he rest his forehead against the prince's. He felt Roman's hands on his jaw, softly lifting his head up.

"You have brought me, to that moment when words run dry." Deceit opened and widened his eyes ever so slightly. The most he expected the prince to do was run away, run to his Virgil, and never turn back, "To that moment when speech disappears into silence," Roman had to look off to the side for a second, before he reluctantly looked back into the snake eye, "Silence."

"I have come here, hardly knowing the reason why. In my mind I've already imagined," Roman had to shut his eyes, not believing what he was about to say, "Our bodies entwining, defenseless and silent. Now I am here with you, no second thoughts. I've decided..." He took a deep breath, "Decided..."

"Past the point of no return, no going back now." Roman took Deceit's hand in his, and placed his other hand on his shoulder, leading him to dance. "Our passion play has now at last begun." The deceitful side kept his eyes locked on Roman as they danced around the room and took in his expression; his eyebrows were furrowed, as if he wasn't wholly sure if he was making the right choice- and he probably wasn't. Deceit kept his eyes on his helpless face as he lowered the prince to a dip.

"Past all thought of right or wrong, one final question." His words showed hope for somehing more, yet his expression showed fear. The rest of his body simply matched his song, graceful. "How long should we two wait before we are one?" Roman brought his hand to his scales once more, looking into his eyes with genuine longing.

"When will the blood begin to race the sleeping bud burst into bloom? When will the flames, at last, consume us?" Roman sang, his loving gaze turning hinting a slight glare to match the tone of the song.

"Past the point of no return, the final threshold!" They harmonized, a mix of singing and shouting. "The bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn!" The look of helplessness has returned in the prince's expression, whereas Deceit's tone was rather aggresive.

"Beyond the point of no return..." Their tones softened in their final line together. By now, they had stopped dancing, simply standing as they each catch their breaths. Helplessness has made another home, this time within the liar.

His gaze was soft as it travelled to the royal's eyes, "Say you'll share with me, one love, one lifetime." He took the pause as a chance to study Roman's reaction to the sudden chsnge in tone, the prince actually seemed to be sympathetic. "Lead me, save me from my solitude..." Deceit lowered his gaze in shame, instead staring at their flushed chests. This made Roman slightly teary-eyed. Deceit had been shunned by everyone his whole life, simply because he is Deceit.

"Say you want me, with you here, besides you." Deceit looked up at Roman hopelessly. He took a deep breath before continuing, "Anywhere you go let me go too! Christine, that's all I ask of-"

"No..."

Well this all went according to plan.

Light poured from the hallway as the door opened, shadows being cast by Roman's supposedly one and only, Virgil.
