Pairing/s: Logicality

Patton walked over to a shelf, carrying a bunh of books. He dropped the books on a nearby table but grabbed a few of them again. He saw a stool just about two feet away, he moved the stool with his shoe, positioning it right in front of him. He stepped into it, and started putting the books back in their shelves.

He heard a couple of kids snickering in a table, looking at a picture in a book. Patton sighed, probably one of the sex ed. books they kept there...

"Kids! Keep it down please, there are some people trying to study." He scolded the kids, prompting one of the kids to say a quick "Sorry!" to Patton.

This is just his usual day as a school librarian. Sorting books, scolding kids, maybe reading some of the books if the day is particularly slow.

He sighed, leaning down to reach for the second set of books on the table. Which was a mistake. Patton had forgotten he was on a stool and was now flinging his limbs around in a pathetic attempt to break the fall.

Though it seems like he wouldn't have to, someone had already done it for him, catching the poor, clumsy librarian in their arms.

Patton reluctantly looked up at his hero, who turned out to be one of the teachers who would often visit the library to do his work, "Uh- Mr. Berry! I am terribly sorry!" Patton tried to apologize, trying to balance himself.

"It's quite alright, and please, call me Logan." The teacher assured him.

Despite Patton's attempts to balance himself, Logan held on tightly. It was when Patton put his hand on the teacher's chest to pull himself away did Logan notice his restraints on Patton. He sheepishly loosened his grasp and let Patton stand on his own.

"Well, I, uh, thank you Logan." Patton smiled sheepishly at the teacher, "Can I- can I buy you a coffee for your help?" He continued, scratching the back of his neck.

This almost made Logan choke. All he did was simply help the guy, he was not expecting to be asked out- asked out?

"You- you are asking me out?" Logan questioned with a puzzled look in his face.

Patton's blush deepened at this, he didn't intend to ask the teacher out on a date. "Well I- uh, that wasn't what I intended..." He sneaked a glance at Logan, who looked... disappointed?

"But if you want to, then... Sure?" He finished, but Logan seemed skeptical. "You don't sound so thrilled..."

"No! I'd love to! It's just... I wasn't expecting that question." He answered sheepishly, his voice becoming more and more of a whisper the more he speaks.

"Oh..." Logan muttered. Patton straightened up, trying to build up his confidence. "Hm, meet me outside the gates after school, then? I know this place, owned by a friend." The librarian said, beaming as to fake confidence.

The teacher hummed in agreement, "I'd love to." Logan flashed the librarian a small smile, "I'll see you later, then." he nodded before turning towards the entrance of the library. Patton's gaze followed the man as he left.

He suddenly heard wolf whistles, coming from the table of kids he scolded earlier. "Did someone just make our science teacher blush?" Patton reddened at the comment and shushed the kids. They let out a chuckle and continued reading and talking within their group, but Patton caught some of thwm sneaking glances at him and he was pretty sure they were talking about what happened between the two. Patton just sighed, smiling as he continued sorting books, this time with caution.
