Half of Four Unlikely Lovers
Pairing/s: Prinxiety
Virgil sat in his chair behind the counter, reading a random magazine he picked up earlier. It's not everyday people need a flower, so it's not everyday he gets customers. His little flower shop is just empty most days.
But today isn't one of those days apparently, he heard a bell chime and looked over to the door, seeing a man atound his age. He was wearing a red tank top, which perfectly displayed a few tattoos on his arms. Virgil felt his jaw drop just a little.
"Uh, welcome. My name's Virgil, how can I help you?" Virgil sputtered, in awe because holy shit this man is beautiful.
"I was just walking by and I couldn't help but notice something beautiful in this shop. I'm the owner of the tattoo place besides this shop, by the way. I'd like to buy some flowers, please." Cute and polite? Virgil was swooning.
Taking out his notepad and grabbing a pen, he asked the man a few questions, "So, what's the occasion? Is it for someone? If so, can you describe them a bit so I can help you pick the perfect flowers?"
"Yeah it's for someone," Roman looked him up and down, "He's really cute. Wears a lot of black too, but I can tell he's a big sweetheart inside."
Virgil wrote down what he heard, "Okay, is that all?"
"Hey, random question, what's the perfect bouquet according to your personal preferences?"
Virgil looked up at him. Why would he care about his preference? He answered him anyways, "A huge bouquet of these purple tulips, with baby's breath flowers and bouvardia as fillers..." He answered, looking off to the side. God, how much he wished to receive that.
"Well, could you possibly fix me an arrangement like that? It sounds beautiful."
Virgil nodded, leaving the counter to fix the man a bouquet. He got the flowers he needed, and got to work. All the while, his neighbor watched him.
"Do you want it to hold a card?" He nodded, "What do you want it to say?"
"From Roman," Roman, huh. "To Virgil." Eyes widening in realization, Virgil looked up at the man, who in turn gave him a warm, beautiful smile. "What? I mean, I did say I noticed something beautiful in this shop, didn't I?"
"I- um- really?"
Roman smiled at him again, "Really. If you'd like, may I buy you dinner sometime?"
