Free Dinner
Pairing/s: Prinxiety
Roman sat impatiently on his seat, bouncing his leg. People were starting to give him apologetic looks. He's been sitting in this restaurant for about an hour now! He grumbled checking his phone again, maybe he's sent a text now?
No he did not. This was embarrasing, Roman honestly felt like crying. Just 10 more minutes, if he's still not here, he'll go home.
"Uh, hey. I'm so sorry I'm late! Traffic was crazy, I'm sorry..." Someone suddenly decided to announce, Roman looked up at the source of the voice. This man was definitely not his date.
The man wore black ripped jeans with a purple sweater. Ooh, he also had dyed purple hair and black eyeshadow, Roman noticed. Despite the emo getup and generally being not Roman's type, he wasn't actually bad looking.
He sat down in the seat across Roman, making himself comfortable, "I'm Virgil, noticed you were looking lonely so..." He made a gesture. Roman couldn't help but smile a little, it was honestly so sweet of him to do that. "Also, you're definitely gonna buy me dinner." Roman's smile disappeared.
He rolled his eyes, "Fine, fine. I didn't even ask you to do that."
"But you wanted me to." Virgil retorted, putting up finger guns towards him.
Roman chuckled at that, "Might as well get to know each other. I'm Roman."
"I'm Virgil, but I already told you that. So, what's the deal? Why were you sitting over here looking all lonely?" Virgil questioned, looking through the menu.
"So what do you want?"
"Steak, but that's not the answer I'm looking for."
Roman called over a waiter and gave their orders, Roman having some some sort of pasta Virgil can't pronounce, before he turned back to Virgil.
"Just... got stood up." He sighed.
"Yeah, I know how that feels..." Virgil sympathized.
They decided to forget about all of that though, and just acted as if this was how Roman's date was supposed to be, with Virgil. When their food arrived, they just continued talking with their mouths stuffed with food (which Roman was paying for).
At the end of the night, they found themselves sitting in a park, ice cream cones in hand. "So... this was fun." Roman hummed in agreement. "But maybe, uh, we can... have a legitimate date? Sometimes?" Virgil suggested, scratching his head.
Roman turned his head to look at him, "I think this has already been a date." He said with a hopeful smile. Virgil smiled back at him.
Well despite being stood up, Roman would consider this a pretty successful date.
