I'm keeping this jn a virgil and roman are friends but virgil isn't aware on how artists block effects him

Aight let's start!

"Hey ro you doing ok?" Virgil asked roman had come down for breakfast a,most immediately taking a tylenol he had mumbled something about a headache

"Yes virgil i am ok" roman mumbled quietly and went back up to his room

Virgil was confused and a little concerned roman was loud and lively today he was quiet and locked himself in his room

Confusion seemed to show as patton sighed "artists block usually affects him more"

"We haven't figured out how to help him yet" logan added

Virgil nodded and bit his lip. He finished eating and sunk into his own room

*thud* virgil jumped hearing something hit the wall across from him

He walked over to the door which was slightly open

He peeked in "roman?"

Roman was sitting on his bed staring at the wall his book lay on "virgil please leave me alone" he looked close to tears and picked the notebook up

Virgil noticed he looked exhausted like he hadn't slept in the past few hours. Or days

He went over to him "roman you look really tired"

"You would be too if you were up all night attempting to write and draw not getting anywhere but damn lines!" He almost yelled pointing to the notebook frantically as he spoke

"Well then you need to sleep roman artists block isn't ggonna go away just like that" virgil replied softly

Roman looked at him stared almost "it has before and its going to again i am fine "

There it was though he didn't want it virgil half expected janus to just pop up right there just cause of how blatant the lie was

Roman looked at him "virgil you, you need to leave"

"No roman you need to take a break you obviously haven't sle o t and your burntout"

Roman didn't look at him "well what do you want me to do?" He seemed genuinely curious

"Rest" virgil managed

Roman nodded "w will you stay?"

Virgil nodded as roman lay down on his bed facing away from the door (which by now virgil had closed)

He fell asleep instantly curling in on himself

Virgil sat on the bed and awkwardly lay next to him

Turns out not sleeping in general gets you pretty tired. So virgil fell asleep pretty quickly

They were both found that way awkwardly cuddling when logan took a picture "payback" and walked away
