"What do you mean you 'don't like Panic! At The Disco'?!" Virgil screeched, glaring at Roman. Virgil was crouched on the couch in a defensive position and Roman had his hands up by the staixase. He learnt something important that day: never speak ill of Virgil's music.
But that lesson hadn't fully kicked in yet, even though warnings had been thrown at him. Literally. Virgil had already thrown a book at Ran, which hit him right in the face. In response, Ran had held his hands up as Virgil screamed. "How could you?!" Virgil continue, letting out another hiss.
"I'm just saying," Roman started, approaching the defensive Side. "It's not my cup of tea. I speak no harm of your beloved band." Another hiss was released, stopping Roman from continuing forward. He stopped his hands with a sigh. "Look, Virgil, are you seriously acting like a toddler? Just because I have a different taste in music?"
Virgil threw the next thing he could get his hands on, which happened to be a lamp. Roman's eyes widened as he ducked down, barely missing the object that almost struck his face, and backed farther away. He could risk his beautiful face being injured, now could he?
"Have you even LISTENED to any of their music?!"
"Yes!" Roman shot back at the darker Side. " I'll have you know I've listened to PLENTY!" Virgil asked him to name a few, not believing the prince. Roman paused for a moment before answering, relaxing a bit as he thought of them. "This I Gosp, which I can prove by one of the lines saying, 'If you love me let m—'"
Virgil cut him off, "Oh, please. EVERYONE knows that line!" He had begun to loosen up as well, as he watched the princely character. Roman shrugged before continuing.
"Alright, well, there is 'Death Of A Bachelor,' 'High Hopes,' 'Victorious', 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies', 'House Of Memories', 'Hey Look Ma, I Made It', 'The Ballad Of Mona Lisa', 'Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time', and—"
"Alright, alright, alright!" Virgil was waving his hands at Roman, trying to get him to stop, eyes wide and confused. "Jeez, I didn't expect you to start naming them all! But you're just naming ones that come on the radio—"
" I don't listen to the radio." Roman deadpanned, staring at Virgil with a nonamused face. How could someone accuse a PRINXE of listening to a cmoners music stations when he had much finer—okay, no, he actually loved listening to the radio but that wasn't the point!
Virgil rolled his eyes. "Right. Anyways, hlw come you're naming all the ones that Janus and I were talking about yesterday?" Roman froze, realizing that wasn't the smartest move on his part. He carefully—after making sure there wasn't anything Virgil could throw at him—moved over and sat on the far end of the couch.
"Oh. Uh, I didn't think you'd catch that, to be honest." Virgil waited for the other to continue, crossing his legs and rocking back and forth slightly. Ran glanced over at Virgil. Not that he saw anything appealing to his eyes; Virgil was too rough of a guy to be Romans type, wouldn't be romantic enough for him.
"I guess I MIGHT havelistenedinonwhatyouweresayingandlistenedtothemsowecouldhavesomethingtotalkabout?" Ran finished in a rush, his face flushing in embarrassment.
Virgil blinked and sat quietly, letting his mind catch up to what he just heard. After a few moments, he understood and became confused. Raising an eyebrow, he went to ask why Roman did that and why his face looked so red all of a sudden. Before he could ask, he seemed to figure it put and stiffened, cringing in on himself.
"Er- why?" He asked. 'pleasedon'tlikemepleasedon'tlikeme', Virgil thought desperately. Roman gave a one-shoulder shrug.
"Just, you know. I get along with all the others— well, I'm working on getting along better with Remus and Janus, anyways—but you and I are always bickering and i was hoping if i liked something you liked, we could actually talk? Like, as in a conversation?" Roman finished unsurely, and being completely honest. Virgil let out a relieved breath, glad that Princey wasn't crushing on him. But he didn't understand why, still.
Virgil tilted his head. "Is that why you came in here and just don't me you don't like P!ATD?" He startled as Roman let out a sudden, dry laugh.
"Oh, yeah. I was expecting to be into the music but it wasn't my type and I didn't really think how you would react. I think I was just hoping you would get into a debate with me." Virgil nodded, that made sense, in a way.
" So," Virgil drawled, narrowing his eyes again. "You seriously don't like ANY of the songs? Come on, you have to atleast like 'High Hopes' or 'Hey Look Ma, I Made It'." Roman looked forward thoughtfully before agreeing.
" Yeah, I did like those and 'House Of Memories'. But I am definitely going to stick with my music now on!" Roman grinned, turning to meet Virgil's eyes. "What if you listen to some of my music?" Virgil visibly gagged and stood up, walking away.
" No thanks!"
"Please!" Roman called after the emo who was trudging up the stairs, presumably to his room. "Just one?! What about 'Gay Disney Prince'?! You know Bebe Rexha don't you?!" He laughed and grabbed the remote, turning on the TV. Well, this had been an uneventful morning.
